I was sad when I heard Mike Morris died.
Mike Morris presented GMTV sunday best for 18months From April 93 -Aug 94. Also the Alarm is set for 07.20 because that's when Sunday best used to start for a 90mins slot. until march 93 :P
He is certainly very talented with that whistle.. 1:31
Sunday 30th January 1994
The clip began with the late Fiona McDiarmid, who went onto Sky News. Sadly Fiona died from breast cancer in 2002 aged 40.
Between April 1993 and 1994 Mike Morris former TVAM Co presenter Lorraine Kelly went to present Monday to Friday edition of GMTV with Eammon Holmes
From what I can remember Disney Adventures was an outside broadcast coming from a different place every week of course by 1998 it was changed Disney Adventures was linked up to The Disney Club(by this tine The Disney Club came from London as opposed to Edinburgh)
I knew Mike Morris presented GMTV for a very short time, it's still weird to see it, and the clip kind of explains why really, he looked a bit out of place and on his own too sadly.
Andrea Boardman is the presenter for Disney Adventures but she she did do The Disney Club as well I'm not sure if she still did at this time unless she was based somewhere in Scotland as The Disney Club was still based in Edinburgh at the time I think this lasted until the summer of 1998 Disney Parade was shown on CITV sort of a summer replacement and was presented solely by Jenny Powell(if any kids remember Gimmie 5 she presented that too) then on the last Disney Parade Jenny said I'll be back next week same time but a different place on The Disney Club Disney Adventures did return but was liked up to the Studio I think Disney's Roadhog was on GMTV
Too bad you don't have GMTV recordings of The Wiggles.
What year did Disney adventures officially start ❓
Mike Morris was indeed better off on TV-am. If only TV-am existed today, the ITV breakfast ratings would surpass those of the Beeb!
Did you not you not record the Saturday Disney titles, why there appear is different story. Anne David had JUST leave sunday best
No she had been doing The Sunday Review and that replaced Timeshfit
@@jamesdelboyi Remember the Sunday review but not timeshift
@@peterwilliamskelhorn6675 I think the Sunday review may have started in 1995 as this cilp is from 1994 time shift was the same as the sunday review
@@jamesdelboy no wonder i don't remember it
Can someone confirm if the Disney club was on at 9.25am that day
Hi James, I think it did, however from the autumn of 1994, the Disney Club would move to the 8.00am slot and would overlap the cut off time for GMTV 9.25am and would continue on until 10.00am, the reason they were able to do this was that the Disney Club was produced by Scottish Television who were also co-owners of GMTV at the time. Hope this helps?
Yes I think that Disney Adventures was linked up to the Disney Club well not so much until the 1998 rebrand because the Disney club returned under a new name called Disney club TV
@@johnking5174 what came on at 10am then?
@@FACEandLMS Hi, can you be more precise?
@@FACEandLMS It was different each week so it could have been anything
Mike on GMTV just wasn't right. He was too associated to TVAM hence why his stint on here was short lived. Lorraine Kelly had only been on TVAM a couple of years hence why she went on to become so successful for GMTV.
Yes. She did and then they sacked her (as was revealed in her interview with Piers Morgan). Then they gave her a mother and baby slot and then she ended going back permanently.
If TV-am existed today it would be very hard to know what it would be like
It's just like GMTV
