  • It's a table, it's a step, it's a stool, it's Super Stool - for under $6
    So we needed another stool because we always need it when the other is using it. This one we made a few years back originally for me to sit on instead of a bucket when the boys were practicing pitching or soft toss. It quickly became the go to seat in the shop because it was the perfect height for all our toys. It even served as a small table for the back porch for a while. The uses are endless and you can adjust the size to fit your needs.

    Great 👍 video but one question can I make it taller. I’m a single mom and I’ve not done anything like this before. Please answer soon I get off work at 5 pm Houston Texas time I’m not sure 🤔 where you are at but I want to get started ASAP. Thank you 😊 Rebecca Moreno

      Rebecca Moreno thank you.... i guess you could make it a stool but i wouldn't use it as a step stool if taller as it might tip over.

    Terrific video on a simple project which many will find very useful, I'm sure. Just one suggestion, if I may. Please keep your videos as short as possible, crisply to the point, as it helps hold viewer attention and makes the video 100% informative, cutting out the avoidable chatter. Usually 7 minute videos are good, but this one could have cut out half the time by avoiding unwanted chatter. I suggest only as a positive feedback, since I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your project videos.

    Great video. Just went to home depot. 2x4 pressure treated are about $5 each for 8 feet. Screws are about $12 for 1lb for the outdoor deckmate star bit ones. Just gotta find time to this, hope i dont hurt myself. Planning to build some of these for outdoor patio table.

      That was what I was doing at 5:09 but the camera was zoomed in. Everything is flush so just look at 3:25 and flip it over when you have the legs made and either nail or screw the top boards down. You could also just glue it upside down and then flip it over later to help hold in place while screwing.

    • @titusjohnson5575

      I don't remember but I think we used the cheap gallon stuff from HomeDepot. not the Thompson's but whatever brand home depot had. I think it was around $20 for a gallon. The one we have now is from McCoys same thing but they have several shades and we have Walnut now.

    • @johndebmax

    • @BigRedFishDad
      @BigRedFishDad  7 років тому

      John magoo 1959 i figured by "cracking" :) but yes I am sure the local box hardware store will have it. It wasn't a stain really just the decking or outdoor water seal stuff but in walnut or whatever shade you can find... home depot had 2 choices clear or this.

    If you cut the “braces” to 20 inches and attached them at the bottom/outside of the legs (floor level) the step stool feature would be a lot more stable.

    • @BigRedFishDad
      @BigRedFishDad  7 років тому

      Sorry about that... I lost quite a few of the plans when I switched websites and just never finished updating it. According to the numbers it was just not getting the traffic. It is on my list to update the plans side of the site over the next few months. This one luckily is a pretty easy build most pieces are the same size and then just nail or screw them together. You could adjust it to whatever size fits your needs as well so if you went with 16" and I went with 15" it wouldn't make much a difference. Thanks for watching and sorry I didn't have them out there good luck!

    This is extremely dangerous because the top is wider than the base. Anyone stands on the edge of that it going to have a quick trip to the floor. It's amazing how many people on youtube don't understand basic physics.

      @BigRedFishDad  3 роки тому +2
