- It's a table, it's a step, it's a stool, it's Super Stool - for under $6
So we needed another stool because we always need it when the other is using it. This one we made a few years back originally for me to sit on instead of a bucket when the boys were practicing pitching or soft toss. It quickly became the go to seat in the shop because it was the perfect height for all our toys. It even served as a small table for the back porch for a while. The uses are endless and you can adjust the size to fit your needs.

Thank you. This is the best video period, for making the simplest stool
My daughter just bought me a Kreg pocket hole jig kit and this should be a nice beginner project to try it out
Good luck! These things are great I use mine all the time still today. I get mad when my son steals one and I can't find it in the shop :)
Good simple video. Made me a shooting table and I need a stool and came across your video. This project is perfect for what I needed.👍
These are great stools
I made one last night with left over wood... Perfect seat for weed pulling in my garden.
Great 👍 video but one question can I make it taller. I’m a single mom and I’ve not done anything like this before. Please answer soon I get off work at 5 pm Houston Texas time I’m not sure 🤔 where you are at but I want to get started ASAP. Thank you 😊 Rebecca Moreno
Rebecca Moreno thank you.... i guess you could make it a stool but i wouldn't use it as a step stool if taller as it might tip over.
Thanks for the video!!!
What size of screws are you using? 3 inch?
One of these to support a bench vise would be sweet, I live in an apartment so I really can't set up a work table or anything huge.
I ate golden corral and had a super stool
Thank u just built one from your plans! The wife is happy, subscribed also
Terrific video on a simple project which many will find very useful, I'm sure. Just one suggestion, if I may. Please keep your videos as short as possible, crisply to the point, as it helps hold viewer attention and makes the video 100% informative, cutting out the avoidable chatter. Usually 7 minute videos are good, but this one could have cut out half the time by avoiding unwanted chatter. I suggest only as a positive feedback, since I've subscribed and look forward to seeing more of your project videos.
Too much talk, not so much skill really😮
We are all crying you got me... Simple easy quick but might be too hard to follow it is a really complex project 🤷♂
I made one from your design. It’s so useful! Thank you so much!
Thank you got a new idea for my next DIY :)
In 2021 they are upwards $20+. Thank you, just what I was looking for! 👍
Thank you for your time sir, for show your talent of building ahh hoo..
Nice build. Thank you for sharing!
Excelente trabajo 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Gracias, very simple that’s what I was looking for,I found your video,God bless you
good stuff buddy. helps to visualize things.
Hello can i have the dimensions
This looks easy enough for me to make on my own...Thanks..super excited!
Made a couple for the house. Very sturdy. Thx.
Super pragmatic! Thank you!
Some of the most simplest designs.. Are the best designs.
Great video. Just went to home depot. 2x4 pressure treated are about $5 each for 8 feet. Screws are about $12 for 1lb for the outdoor deckmate star bit ones. Just gotta find time to this, hope i dont hurt myself. Planning to build some of these for outdoor patio table.
Great idea, thank you. Rustic enough not to worry about abuse.
Simple yet functional.
im going to make this this evening, but i will cut a hand hole out of the 2 centre seat slats just so i can lift it easy.
Мужик , мне 69 лет . Ты мне напомнил моего деда Васю , он тоже делал такие мощные вещи ( кондовые ) 👍
just for me ,,,easy build ,,,thanks
Love this idea. I'm going to make one on my next day off. Thanks.
Nobody cares. Go eat a Cock. Like your whore wife does for free
@@scraplifetrashtocash4551 Wow! How brave of you to hide like a coward behind anonymity and write such a crude and vulgar thing. Your mother must be so proud.
Great project! If I might ask what screws did you use for these?
Spax are my favorite
Sorry's, Keep it comming, u missed lot in showing better luck next time. But that one looks cool
Nice aaram sey batiya reho
How long was each lumber?
thank you for sharing, great video
wow
You can also throw some roller wheels on the legs if ya like to sit when working and move around....thank you for sharing...love it
That is a great idea... I'm a big guy and those cheap "Mechanic's Roller Seats" just don't last long. I still use these every weekend!
I subbed after i saw your intro.
Thanks man!
So just to make sure
six 2x4 at 14"
Two at 8"
Four at 14.5"
Yep... unless you want a differnet height.
@@BigRedFishDad ok thank you. I don't have any tools at all so I'm banking on home Depot cutting these to those exact numbers. Wish me luck
@@EvaRadio Hello! How did it turn out? Thank you!
Got be 16 haven’t they, 4 x4 = 16
Can you please tell me how attached the top? You skipped that part
That was what I was doing at 5:09 but the camera was zoomed in. Everything is flush so just look at 3:25 and flip it over when you have the legs made and either nail or screw the top boards down. You could also just glue it upside down and then flip it over later to help hold in place while screwing.
Thanks. I just ended up using glue. I wanted to just use screws but I couldn't figure out how to attach the top without using glue to hold it
Simple and not fancy but practical. I will build one tomorrow. Thanks.
Well done mate, cracking project. What colour is the stain please.
I don't remember but I think we used the cheap gallon stuff from HomeDepot. not the Thompson's but whatever brand home depot had. I think it was around $20 for a gallon. The one we have now is from McCoys same thing but they have several shades and we have Walnut now.
Ill try homebase, has we dont have a home depot, im in lincolnshire. Thanks for the reply mate.
John magoo 1959 i figured by "cracking" :) but yes I am sure the local box hardware store will have it. It wasn't a stain really just the decking or outdoor water seal stuff but in walnut or whatever shade you can find... home depot had 2 choices clear or this.
Cheers old chap.
Wow thank you for the ideas you shared. It’s quite easy to follow but I will try it by myself if I can do it that easy as I watch your video. 😂 But the thing is I don’t know how to use the drill.
I made one today. It’s pretty wonky but I love it.
Awesome... using the one on the right as my side table by the fire right now. They are awesome and have many uses... great job hope you enjoy it!
Great I am doing it. I got a little plastic stool. But I want something solid. Maybe even add some wheels to it. But it looks solid
If you cut the “braces” to 20 inches and attached them at the bottom/outside of the legs (floor level) the step stool feature would be a lot more stable.
:)
Made mine today. Nice and easy build.
Hi the link for the plans says it's an error and the site has only three plans none of which is this one I stopped the video a couple times to note measurements Looking forward to making this!
Sorry about that... I lost quite a few of the plans when I switched websites and just never finished updating it. According to the numbers it was just not getting the traffic. It is on my list to update the plans side of the site over the next few months. This one luckily is a pretty easy build most pieces are the same size and then just nail or screw them together. You could adjust it to whatever size fits your needs as well so if you went with 16" and I went with 15" it wouldn't make much a difference. Thanks for watching and sorry I didn't have them out there good luck!
ďo you live in nebraska is that why your bigredfishingdad
Nope, Texas.
BigRedFish was my avatar long time ago when I used to play UT-GOTY. I played wayyyyy too much but I stopped playing when I went back to school for MS degree. I kept the name for most sites and added Dad for UA-cam nothing too complex about the name.
This is extremely dangerous because the top is wider than the base. Anyone stands on the edge of that it going to have a quick trip to the floor. It's amazing how many people on youtube don't understand basic physics.
I know your so smart why didn't we think of that... thanks for watching! (Oh and if you make one don't stand on the edge... the edge doesnt make a good place for your foot either. I use my mostly as a seat and if my ity bity butt causes it to tip over we better rethink our physics 😎)
An excellent project for repurposed pallets also.
