PSA charging by the cards value is an outright fucking scam.. First of all it gives them an incentive to grade it higher. But more importantly, why should value affect the service given? It's bullshit and I think it will ultimately hurt them in the long run
CGC has the clearest best slabs out there but the re-sale value is not as good as PSA. For personal collection, CGC is the way to go...it's $12 per slab so cheaper too than the other companies.
@@kosimitz I don't believe there is anything special about any of the slabs. They're all plastic with paper labels in them. Simple as can be which is good.
Yep.. pretty much nailed all points.. I gotta say tho, for me, if it's just a PC for life kind of card, I'm definitely ok with a CGC.. I'm a member, and just dig their slabs.. I send the majority of my cards to PSA, it really is king when it comes to returns imo, but I'm a fan, non-sport card collectors, Marvel Card collectors perhaps the most, for the PC anyways it seems to be a go-to in a lot of cases.. But PSA is who I would recommend, especially to anyone new to the hobby. Money Talks
A little over 20 years ago I decided to get the nicest cards from my childhood collection graded. I did a lot of research and at that time Beckett was considered the best and the BVG labels with the sub grades got the best prces on eBay. Now nobody wants them and they sell for half the price of PSA. Most everybody buying the label and not the card. I was building a registry with Beckett when they had a data crash. Frustrated i packed them in boxes and stuffed them in a closet and virtually quit buying anything.

Pre 80s.
90's is considered vintage now days

I'd go BGS or SGC. I've never had any issues
Sgc. Great customer service. Quick turnaround. But ugly case.
I like their cases honestly. Makes the cards stick out more with the black around them.
fk any other company if its not back by PSA then i deem the card fake or trimmed no company stands behinds there grade like PSA

I have gone with ISA. $12-15 a card and I live 20 miles away. I usually get them back in less than 1 week.
Sgc is 15 and well known and is owned by psa. 💁♂️
