Creating A Strong Application - Carnegie Mellon Robotics Institute Summer Scholars (RI

In this session, we will walk through applying to RISS - showcasing projects, introducing mentors, and giving tips on how to create a really strong application.
The RI Summer Scholars Program (RISS) connects summer undergraduate research immersion with mentoring and coaching that helps more than 40 students annually build skills, gain experience, and navigate the last mile to graduate school.
We believe that a few bumps along the way should not derail students that are committed and interested in pursuing futures in STEM. RISS activities & support span across months - first working with students to succeed in RISS and then helping students explore graduate and other STEM opportunities.
