Hatvan, Hungary 4:20 ❤ Greetings from Hungary! Dear Tim, I discovered your channel a few weeks ago. I like your videos, they help me to survive my chronic illness. I started to watch your videos from the first! 😊
I visited this 30 years ago. These videos of Kos are bringing back happy memories of my Greek Island hopping days. I think this castle had something to do with the Knights of St John. I think there was something to do with the Moors invading as well.
Another lovely video Tim. Nice to see the quaint harbour town and the souvenir shops, and the lovely blue skies reflected in the water. A little escape from our lockdown.😀🥰
Fascinating castle, Tim. I looked it up and it was basically a fortified city originally built by the knights of St John. Thanks for showing us around!
@@WalkWithMeTim will do Tim! Spending lots of time today watching all these vlogs of yours! Just wonderful job you do. Can’t wait to see all them. Hope next year will bring you more subs!!
About 12 years ago we walked from Kardamena village to the castle, along a very windy hill trek took us ages. Thankfully snack bar and toilet were open.Shame to see it in that state.Enjoyed watching, Thanks
Wow its so beautiful I love it I really do .when all this is over I will be going. This is my type of place .thank you Tim. Going bourmouth in July as after watching your vlog next best thing to going abroad .💓🌴🌴🌴
@@WalkWithMeTim hey Tim that mask i won the other week on your live chat, i still haven’t received matey, did you get my address on insta i sent you, 👍👍👍
Hi Tim This was an unexpected vlog. Kos does look beautiful. What was the function of the salt flats? Did they extract the salt or just wait for it to dry out? And was it for culinary use? Such a shame about the ruins. For this day and age the toilet should be maintained. Especially now we have covid world wide.
We went to Kardamena for the first time last year & we absolutely love it there. We've been twice this year & going back in June & September next year, can't wait 😊
Hi Tim, looking for a get away early next year, would you say Kos was the most beautiful in Europe? Best wishes love your channel, wish I'd found it years ago. Just wondering as well do you have a special passport, must be full up after a few months 👍
Hey Tim, Where did you rent the car from? I am curious because I see that you used it on dirt roads and heard that Kos rental companies can charge you up to 300 EUR just for going off-road (non-asphalt) regardless of whether or not the car got damaged. Thanks
Yeah, full insurance is a good option in many case but unfortunately it doesn't cover for off-road penalty. That's the catch :/ Anyhow I'll go for some bigger rentals that has an established worldwide reputation just for the peace of mind. Cheers
As someone said below, the castle is free to enter now (and it was 32 years ago when we first went) That guy has nothing to do with it officially, he's basically just scamming people that go there. At least he dresses up though and a couple of euros for a photo with him is probably worth it. We were this year and when he left another guy turned up in normal clothing and just took money off people, not good! There were lots of tortoises around back in 92 as well. It's a shame that once again the improvements have been left to deteriorate. None of the lighting/snack bar etc was there either in 92 and it must have cost a lot of money (probably from EU funding) to do. When was this filmed?

Hey Sharon yes extra video before it goes festive next week i dont think they use the salt flats anymore
They waited for it to dry out and then it was used for culinary purposes, trading and for preservation of food.
We went to Kardamena for the first time last year & we absolutely love it there. We've been twice this year & going back in June & September next year, can't wait 😊

On a quest to watch all of the videos?
The castle donation is only for the guy outside I think.... he is nothing to do with the castle. Its still free
oh ...
Great video what time of year was this?
September last year
What month was this filmed
