    18/8 represents the percentage of other metals in relation to the steel-- 18% chromium and 8% nickel. So it's not actually a fraction.

    Just my 2¢ :- key features for a good temperature retention comes from a good well insulated caps/lid other than just the vessel it self , even though they have tested for quality assurance right from the factory but faulty occur usually during shipment & distribution mishaps is sometimes inevitable , ones comes with no defects - you're just lucky ! 😅

    Aren’t you drinking off a surface that your handling and is exposed to everything with the Miir. Idk seems weird to me, not digging that
