I’m having trouble understanding what Ali Shaheed actually did both in Tribe Called Quest and the Ummah. I know a QTip or Dilla beat when I hear it by the type of harmony and drum sounds but most people mistake Ali as being the guy who did the beats for the first 3 Albums when it was actually Q-Tip. Most of the work since the group shows this. Most of his decent work has been part of a collaborative effort such as with Raphael Sadiq
I remember my older brother playing stuff like this when I was younger. I used to love these types of beats. Half the time, you needed no words, just a good groove!
J Dilla had to die. The man put his whole life essence into these beats. He fused himself with the melody. His body left to rot, his soul-lingers as long as his music plays
sending shivers down my spine it blows my mind how dilla died so soon before his time but his music's still alive in our hearts and mind it's hard to find the right words to describe how these beats remind me of the light, he's up in heaven's sight still tellin us it's gonna be alright j dilla changed my life.
Rip to a legend. That beat makes me sad and happy at the same time. Sad he’s gone. Happy that a beat like that is possible and that I’m hearing it for the first time. Music is eternal
I love this beat so much I listen to it back to back. This is one of those beats that I want to listen to with no lyrics, and in a quiet room by myself. But then I always think about the fact that J Dilla is no longer with us. But, his music lives forever.
The Late J . Dilla was A Beats Master Genius!!!!! There was simply no one on his level of Brilliant Artistry....... I've heard them all the way out to Chicago.... Although .. they have their own unique style..... Dilla was In a Class All By himself!!!!! ... RIP BROTHER...... 😑😑😑..........✌️
Qtip is a legend what made me fall in love with hip hop I remember listen to tribe called quest trying to memorize all the words to be cool lol and breakin on carboard when I was
This is that good feeling Like a million Never had a million, but I hope you see this... feeling... it’s a good feeling The void’s been filled in So sweet like a cavity, need a filling This is that good feeling This is that one in a million Woke up feeling like a million

Don't forget to give Q Tip his props this is a production by The Ummah and that's Dilla and Tip and Ali from Tribe
without forgetting ALI SHAHEED
The Ummah = J Dilla qtip didnt to nun
That's important

J Dilla had to die. The man put his whole life essence into these beats. He fused himself with the melody. His body left to rot, his soul-lingers as long as his music plays
That's the power of 🎶 when a person dies their lives on and never from Dilla Pac, MJ ,Prince, Luther Teddy Pendergrass, Marvin Gaye etc.
I believe our time depends on what we do to help other people... Like there's a limit. It feels like the best ones die too young
Try to imagine the kind of beats Dilla is making on the instruments in heaven. You can't even.
Always happy to hear a Dilla beat for the first time! RIP!
man we need J Dilla today!! RIP
Os beats do Dilla são tipo checkpoints , sempre me salvam 😂❤

The ultimate nostalgia starts from the guitar part. Absoulutely catchy✨🔥✨😎😎. It felt like I’m revisiting my childhood again.😭
The bass line at 4:14 is well worth the wait
