Love how when the time this type of mach 3 planes were developed the computers were on infancy state and bunch of people imagination and calculation made this type of beast come into a reality.
I actually put a 1/72 scale model of this thing which is still on tge smaller end of models it’s still absolutely massive. Just an absolutely beautiful machine
I’m currently reading a book about the XB 70 and ima give you guys some fun facts 1. Every plane that starts with the word X means it is a experimental aircraft the XB 70 was originally supposed to be a supersonic bomber but then the North American said that they wanted to do some experimental stuff on the XB 70 so they changed the name from the B 70 to XB 70(XB = EXPERIMENTAL BOMBER) 2. The XB 70 switches from the normal enjine to RAM JET enjine when it’s above the speed of Mach 2.9 (RAM JETS ARE MADE FROM compressed air and fuel ignited ) 3. The ENJINE used on the XB70 is called the YJ93
Beautiful aircraft. Insane tech with the drooping wingtips for supersonic flight. it's absolutely massive too if you can go see it at the Air Force Museum I highly recommend. This airplane is the definition of A E S T H E T I C

@@killerflamingo9566yea I’ve seen people build those and needless to say they’re fucken massive
They did this primarily with slide rulers, pencils, and intuition.
The XB-70 is such a beautiful plane, absolutely magnificent, way ahead of its time, with the only issue being its shoddy brakes.
0:29 I love that we got to see both XB-70s in the same shot. Just two sisters vibing.
Wish it would have gone beyond 2 proofs of concept, such an incredible plane.
I would say that it outdid my favorite plane even, a12/sr71 since this could actually carry pay load at 25000 meters.
Largest bomber!

it is happening, I have midterm exams rn, but it is coming I promise
beautiful beast...
The most futuristic looking plane beating even the f 22 and f 15 in aesthetic
The most amazing thing , it was built with paper and a slip stick!
?
@@DGill48It was built in a time before we had access to computers that could design it for us.
It was designed with pens, paper and slipsticks, but built with proper metal-working tools.
EXcellent !!!

Fastest bomber 👨✈️🛩
The Xb 70 has the same otherworldly vibe as the yf 23
With the engines available today, imagine what this might look like with only 3 or 4.
make one about the Su 27
Ah yes, the B1s older sister and concord's deranged cousin. Jokes aside what a beautiful aircraft, its a real shame what happened to her.

What book are you reading that says that the XB-70A had ramjet engines?
They don’t do such extreme performance planes today
Because everybody knows these planes are way too expensive to build and operate.

where do you obtain footage from ?
You can find a lot of good footage just around yt itself
AIRBUSA
Can't. You got to have lived it to get it.
Bro make a video on f100 super sabre
BIG SUCC
Flying vacuum cleaner
Nobody is your "bro" here.
The fuselage is strange
It’s because of its experimental nature they were trying to get the compression effect
Destroyed for a photo op🤬🤬
By an f104 of course 😤🤬
