Thank you!
I was honored to create visuals for the National Palace Museum of Taiwan. This work is part of the permanent exhibition „A New Vision of National Treasures“ in Taipei. The challenge was to create an abstract interpretation of 6 selected iconic items of taiwanese history with a dynamic visual in terms of sense and color. I studied the objects, its history and meaning quite a while and ran research on colors and their cultural context. In order to get an authentic character and honest appearance, I decided to use historic pigments to create my own paint and ink. It was an inspiring process to create these fluids by hand and I will extend my experiments in the future.
The team in Taiwan was shooting in parallel in the museum and we were in exchange constantly. Due to the fact that I was not allowed to travel, this became a complete remote job in quarantine. I will keep it in good memory.
I hope you get the idea of how all this comes together.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the Love!

thank you Marcus!
Just stunning Roman! Just stunning... I love the match with the tsangkas
Thanks so much my friend🙋🏻♂️🙏
Genius. This world deserves your art
Wow. Thank you very much 🙏
What paint are you using?
make them in 60 fps, and you will increase the number of viewers.
really love the video!! im curious what you are using for your canvas - at first glance, i thought it was paper - but maybe some kind of vinyl? the scale that you are working in is much larger than I expected :)
I’m so glad you do these “Behind the Scenes” videos. I’m not sure if people would believe they organically created if you didn’t. Amazing.
You outdo yourself every single time.
thank you, glad you like this one!
It's nice to see that you put so much efforts in making a video but one thing I want to say that in video like this, youtube's low video bitrate sucks , some particle seems blurred , so you have any plans to make these awesome videos available at their highest quality available on your website (obviously with your watermarks and licence management)?
Thanks Raj, I agree bitrate can be a massive issue with yt. Only thing I can recommend at moment is heading over to vimeo which is lower compression, but they do not have a dedicated app for some TV's
Recently upgraded to a new TV with Dolby Vision & Atmos. Wow! Your videos even look better. I'm jealous, but also inspired by your work. Thank you!
You are most welcome to my channel, thx for watching🙋🏻♂️
Wtf that should have way more than 1m views. I'll try my best to spread the word! Awesome stuff ...
Wow. Thanks for the love🙋🏻♂️
Hi , big fan from india. Since I have seen your work can't stop going through all your videos in loop. I want to try this so badly. Please help me here. I ordered Liquitex Acrylic inks which were too costly for me then I poured some milk and oil and added those ink into it but it all got mixed into each other. The colors weren't moving separate like yours. It got mixed everything became black 😂... Can you please help me what am i missing here. Do I need to use pouring medium first and then put the colors into milk or anything. A little hint please... I am really fan of your work. I saw your videos in a Electronic mall on big OLED 8K TV and since then I am digging your videos from all over the youtube. It would mean alot if you give me a little direction . How do they explode without mixing with each other?
Thank you very much Jay. If you use milk and dish soap you need to go with food dye, acrylic inks are too thick to make them flow. Also, Milk and Pouring medium do not mix, use either or.
@@RomanDeGiuli thank you so much for the reply.... I have ordered pouring medium already. I will buy some food dye and give it a go... Thanks a ton once again.. ❤️
amazing
Thank you!

What is with those scrolls and Chinese art? I didnt get why they are there in this behind the scenes vid!
some of these chines ink images represent elements like clouds or branches and are interpreted with paint on paper, its intercut one with another
