As a plumber, seeing Milwaukee wade into the drain cleaning business excites me. This brand has been leading the charge in innovations in the trades for years now. I've invested with the M12 drain snake last year and its been a very solid, convenient tool. I like the thought that has gone into this particular M18, but here are my thoughts. Unless I'm reading incorrectly, this video shows only 50 feet of cable for a main line machine. I currently run a Spartan 300 with similar sized cable, but the biggest benefit is that I have 100 feet to work with. The Milwaukee has the edge in portability, but I'm concerned that 50 feet isn't long enough to get to where most stoppages are at in the sewer line, especially when having to go through a toilet flange because there is not a cleanout located. I can definitely see this as replacing a Spartan 100 for quick kitchen or bathroom sink line cleanings with a smaller, longer cable. This looks much easier to clean and limiting sewer juice splatter from transporting. My BIGGEST hope is that Milwaukee is working to develop a sewer/drain camera to compete with RIDGID SeeSnake series.
I just bought this to replace my Spartan 100. Nothing will replace my Spartan 300. I’ve had the m18 pistol snake and well it’s fire but neither one of these are mainline machines.
Come on! Milwaukee needs to make a 5/16 cable with the ability to put on attachments or a HOLLOW 3/8 cable for the switch pack. I run through the 5/16 *75 feet and 3/8*50 feet to unclog my kitchen sink, but it failed. I used the whole 125 feet both on the roof and under the sink after taking the P trap. I had to call a plumber, who used a HOLLOW 3/8 cable with a half C cutter attachment and he did it from the vent on my roof (only used about 70 feet). I found the 5/16 cable with the fixed drop head is useless, and the 3/8 cable is too stiff to get through 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 pipes. I hate I had to spend big money to hire a plumber after I bought the Milwaukee. I hope Milwaukee can see my message, and I post comments to Home Depot and many UA-cam videos.
Milwaukee now has their own line of cables and cutters. It does not sound like they are compatible with Ridgid, General, Spartan or others. Units will be sold with cables but yes for those with a lot of cables and cutters already this seems like an issue.
Got any videos with someone who has actually used a sewer machine in real life before? if you cant pick it up by yourself there is no way you have any real experience with one and shouldn't be commenting about such a product.
I have the m12 I've unstopped hundreds of drains with with zero problems. Please use real gloves during demo and use more men in your videos not to be sexist I feel will help sale to more professionals
No gloves is the first thing I was thinking lol...I’d be worried about her wrapping her hair up in the cable....I’m not sold on this tho...I’ve been using Mytana m661. 1/2 for 3”, 3/8 for 1.5 -2, and 1/4 snake from duracable for showers and tubs. Haven’t had much problems at all except for when the cable is kinked and wasn’t fixed or the cable isn’t maintained . Getting stuck is always a risk but once you get the “feel” for it you can figure out certain stoppages, getting stuck, unstuck all that. She mentioned breaking pipes. If the snake you’re using is strong enough to break a pipe then that pipe was shot to begin with or you’re using a flamethrower to kill ants. I’d marry her though....just saying.....she can do mainlines from the vent for me

you can connect two drums for up to 100ft of cable
With a 300 you can also run a 100 drum, thats what I use.
Does it have the power of say.... spartan 100. A same category for cable machine 3/8ths or spartan 300 1/2” cable?

spartan is just overpriced chinese stuff masked as American

Can’t you just buy a different name brand cable? All the cables should be interchangeable.
I WOULD HIRE HER , JUST FOR KNOWING FLUSH ABLE WIPES AIN'T THAT FLUSH ABLE
when will these become available to buy
I like the design. what is the price point?
They have not told us any specific pricing yet. We have pressed them again and will update shortly!
coptool cool, thanks, either way I will be buying one
Levine Levine I'd guess $1,000-1,500 range... a good cable costs $200, a 9.0 costs $170
do you have to buy the cable from Milwaukee? or will other brands fit it

How long does the cable goes
There are different options for cables sounds like 50' is what comes in the drum and 50' additional can be added.
I do not believe it has the power of that Ridgid machine
Why are you not wearing gloves. Wow what a gal!!
Где можно купить такую машину?И сколько она стоит?
