Smiles for aptness, accuracy, and verbiage in discourse .. mutual recognition in an outside unvarnished latency, with high respects of course. Each formiddable in their own rights. I salute them both with unfettering linguistics.
I came here hoping to improve myself linguistically in English and I got extremely enlightened by the wise usage of words from these two personalities. After having watched the interview, I got very knowledgeable about British raj and how the East Indian company has impoverished India in secrecy

In suggesting that England robbed India of its riches and
threw it under the bus, what segment of the Indian population does he speak and stand for?
- Those who made the choice to serve in the British Army were Indians. They could have said NO to the offer.
- Those, who at the behest of Gen. Dyer opened fire at unarmed non-violent Sikhs at Jalianwala Baugh were Indians. They could have chosen not to do so.
- Those Indians, perhaps in many numbers who practice class antagonism, based on caste, creed, religion, ethnicity, language, skin tone etc, would have continued to practice their ways in India even in the absence of the British. That is evident by the current situation in India, which is free from British Raj.
To what specific class of Indians do the British owe reparations?
What is the remedy sought?
How and amongst whom will it, if received in the form of monies, be distributed?
Shashi Tharoor, too often than not, comes across as a poser to me. Fine appearance, awesome accent, but no intellectual substance!
