Thank you so much! I have a film/tv agent in LA and I am constantly auditioning for new things so I am just trusting that the right door will open at the right time:) Also here are the links for the equipment I use! Backdrop: a.co/d/4frU8XY Ring light: a.co/d/5KnLicm I always film using my phone’s camera and I do all of these self tapes in a room with natural light to make it brighter. If you don’t have a room with windows that would work or want to film at night I would suggest getting some kind of box lights to help even out the lighting!
I actually don’t live in LA! After covid, most auditions moved from in person to self-tapes which you can do wherever you are located! LA is where a lot of filming happens, but there is also filming in so many other places such as Atlanta or Canada (and many other places!).
@@imhannahbrooks thank you for sharing, i appreciate it :) oh and sorry but last question did u have to auditio for the agency u are in now, can you name it?
I actually signed with my LA agency through an acting program I did called CGTV where I got to work and learn from actors in the industry. I worked with them out in LA for a week, and then at the end of the week did a showcase in front of agents and managers that they brought in. After that, some agents called me back and we did zoom meetings and after a little bit I signed with my LA agents! But usually if you are looking to get an agent on your own you can do research of some film/tv agents your area, LA, Atlanta, or wherever you want to get auditions at! Once you find some reputable ones, look on their website and see how it says to submit. Most will be by email so you would just send them an email telling a little about yourself and how you are looking for representation and then attach your headshot and resume to the email. You can submit to as many agencies as you want at once and some may reply and some may not! But it’s important to never give up because it really is possible to get into film and tv, you just have to work for it and always keep going:) Sorry for all the information🤣 that’s a super long comment haha But I wish you the best and please feel free to comment on here anytime if you have any more questions!
