13:12 I am impressed, great jig!
Wow. We (Men) need more women showing us (Men) how to woodwork. the most simple clear instructions, no over complicating anything. Thank you Ma'am.
I rarely comment on videos, but want you know I think your videos are very informative with the right amount of info without delving into too much detail.
One thing helpful for beginners is showing mistakes….just a thought
carpenter for 42 years and still learning thanks Chris.
wow , you look just like Erin Blank, i'm not even kiddin a little bit
Neat... of course, Hexagons are the Bestagons.
Of course!
CGP Grey would love this!
I've seen this reference in several different videos, and being 'in the know', it makes me smile every time.
@@chrisgenovese8188 Go over to Paul Jackman's channel now and drop it into his video about the Hexagon wall... 😇
Made mine and as the song goes "Perfect" Thank You.
I'm no where near ready in my DIY skills yet to attempt something like this, but I love your videos and clear instructions. Also, love that you have built your own workshop and continue to challenge yourself.
Hi there, how are you doing today,
To be honest it is absolutely a awesome idea and help me a lot
I build bird feeders (castles) and I struggle to find a plan how to build them
And there my answer you give my answer for me how to build them
Thanks again for your help 💐❤
I’m not kidding, this is the BEST hexagon table saw jig video! Thank you so much for making this.
So great to see a new jig out there that is not on everybody else's channel. Thank you! That said, I have set acres of tile, and I would never ever be relying on a ceramic tile to give me accurate angles.
Double win, Marie. A new video from you and a greatly improved hexagon jig. All is well. Take care.
Bill
Thanks Bill!
I built the first version of the hexagon jig and find it was the best jig for cutting them. Version two builds on the original and is definitely more versatile when it comes to varying sizes.
I would like to thank you as I needed to make lots of hexagons for my daughter's wedding reception centerpieces and this jig fit the bill perfectly. I pre-cut all the lengths of maple to the exact width and length to limit waste. After about 250 hexagons for 20 centerpieces (12 per) it was time to do all the glues ups, sanding and finishing. It was time consuming but worth it. In addition to this was the "greens", frosted wine bottles and table numbers that would make up the complete centerpiece. The cut-offs from each hexagon were saved and I have a 5-gal bucket of triangles (about 1000 :) ) that I have ideas for. I'd share some pics but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that here.
Exelente plantilla y muy completa la introducción. Pera en el idioma español sería posible.gracias y mucho éxitos.
Well, this couldn't be more perfectly timed! I've been wanting to make one of these for a while and I just got a small job making some hexagon hanging planters that will hold test tubes for plant cuttings. Great video and jig Marie!
I love your video’s & im a 63 yrs young women who has a love of woodworking & get very clear instructions, I wish I was naturally talented like you! I gave hexigons a go without your jig & they came out really nice but I can’t make your jig not the room 😢 carry on with your amazing videos as really good xx
Great jig Marie. I’m not much for hexagons but I do enjoy watching you work. I’m trying to learn patience by osmosis!
Thanks again.
Ha well, I can appreciate that! Patience comes with practice ;)
I wish I could like this video twice! Awesome/simple design and clear instructions; thanks for the video!
تبارك الرحمن ربي يحفظك ويرعاك
A great channel, another very informative video. I like that you don't cut corners on your videos and actually show us every detail along the way...thanks!
Ummm...this whole video was about cutting corners LOL! A great jig!
I'm pretty new at working.. about a year now... lots of experience with metal-- easy to fix screw ups with a welding torch and grinder :)... Great video - something I will soon try to build. You asked about what benefits we'd like - do you do 1-on-1 chats with newbies??? It would be nice to have the opportunity to engage with someone like you to get feedback / answers to the many little questions that come up all time - Larry
This is so good. I gave up making a hexagon jig a while back so ill have to try this one! Cheers
It's so satisfying when it actually works! Can't wait to make something new with this jig.
@@DIYMontreal yeah I bet! The more I think about it the more uses I can find for it. Thanks again for sharing this 😁👍
I like your jigs very interesting. Takes some time to build them but well worth the effort. Thank you for sharing
Well done Marie! I had built your original hex jig and it worked great. I'm looking forward to building this upgrade. Thanks a bunch!
UA-cam reading my mind, before I even looked up a hexagon jig! This is fantastic, and I subbed for more.
I love your channel! As a new woodworker I appreciate the realism and familiarity of seeing similar successes and hiccups. This video was amazing for me. I wanted to repair a wind chime and the top was hexagonal. With more than a few scrolls back and forth the finished product ended up amazing!🎉 Thanks!!!
Hübsche Frau dazu guter Handwerker ist selten zu sehen!
Great addition to your first jig!!! You can add another adjustable feature to cut pentagons or triangles!!
I just watched your other hexagon jig video and this one back to back. It's exactly what I was looking for and also fun/interesting to see the evolution. Can't wait to try this myself. Thanks for posting!
I struggle a while now to cut a hexagon,
And I didn't know it is so easy
Know I know how
Thanks again (RONALD ❤
You are a big Teacher!! Congratulations!!
Thank you for this. I work in foam and this is the first jig I've seen that did not require a degree in calculus to create. Going to convert your plans to a hot wire cutter.
Like your shop . Nice layout 👌
Love this channel. I'm not sure why I would want to make a hexagon cutting jig for the table saw at this stage but I have a feeling that this is going to be useful.
I'm impressed with the high quality equipment and tools in your shop!
Nice jig!!!
It's nice to see a beautiful woodworker.
Nice!
THANX for the jig idea. im getting ready to cut a bunch of hex corian tiles for my shower. this is perfect
Big Hello from Spain, Super useful Jig, Thanks Marie!!
Your design is genius!
Brilliant! Easy and quick! Thank you!
Love your plan I addedc a holddown toggle clamp
C'est tellement plaisant d'avoir un magasin Princess Auto à Laval maintenant. Les hexagones sont vraiment bien. Merci pour le truc.
That turned out awesome Marie! 👏👏 You made it look so easy! 👌 I’ll have to give it a try! Can’t have too many jigs! 😁 Thank you for sharing!
Great video. I especially liked the inset video while you were talking. Nice touch.
Thanks for the feedback, appreciate it!
Very impressive! You are an excellent instructor and talented wood worker!
Don't know when i'm going to build this but bought your plans anyways to atleast support the channel. Great stuff!
I didn't know how to go about building something like this for a project I have in mind and your video laid it out for me. I was concerned about using the saw blade to align the fence and realized that I could use my table saw fence since it's perpendicular to the blade and provided a stable reference for me. It didn't come out perfect (about .3 degrees off), but definitely better than I could have done on my own. Thanks for the great guidance.
Outstanding video...clear, concise.
Nice build. I love art deco and hexagons and triangles appear in many of the styles motifs so I may build a jig for each.. As far as Patreon, a monthly video where you answer subscribers questions. Of course, non-subs will get the benefit of your answers if you post on UA-cam, but subs will be the ones asking the question, so everyone wins to some extent. Nothing wrong with that. Oh, one more thing. Thank you for being so generous with your knowledge.
Fantastic work, Marie! Brilliant jig! 😃
I'm definitely going to build something like that as well!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Awesome, Have fun!
Love this design, I plan on building it this weekend. Thanks for your video.
- VERY nice job. I made the smaller one last year so looking forward to adding this one to my collection of jigs. Thanx 4 sharing.
Très intéressante réalisation et de plus avec traduction en Français. Merci pour ce partage. Je m'abonne.
Very helpful! Made my own and super excited! I’m learning so much thanks 😊👍🏻
Very cool jig!😎. I love the simple no fuss "repeatability". Kudos 👍!! I have to make one. Thanks for sharing!!
Clear, concise and well-prepared work; your videos are excellent learning tools for us.
Thanks for the tile tip. I’ve been struggling with the correct angle for half a day now 😂
nice jig
Great job Marie! Grabbing a set of plans soon. For patreon, maybe early access to videos, stickers are always cool, and maybe a free project plan every month? All depending on the tier of course.
Awesome, thanks for the suggestions!
Great instructions. I’m going to try to replicate concept for an octagon
Amazing!! You are SO cool!
You are the lady,perfect job
Can you show us how to make hexagon bird houses along with the poured roof ..maybe different tilt angles for different height roofs but mainly how to get perfect cut roof segments please...👍🇬🇧🇬🇪🙋🏼♂️
Wow!!! Running downstairs to try this one. Thnx for sharing 👍👍
I have a project that involves hexagons so I ran into your video nice job! I liked it and built one almost exactly like yours but added one feature I found to be quite handy. I found a free online hexagon calculator copied the URL and pasted that into a QR code generator I then printed that QR code about an inch square and used some clear packing tape to affix to the sled as a handy way to simply scan with my phone and have quick access to that calculator.
Thank you for sharing!
This is brilliant and super helpful. Thank you.
Excelente trabalho . Obrigado por difundir sua técnica. Deus a abençoe.
Princess Auto. Go Marry! Always a fan.
Happy 4th of July!🥳
Great design & build, thank you
MANY THANKS !!! ... I'M DOING MINE RIGHT NOW !!!
Spectacular. I hope this will help me out with my pentagon jig.
Thanks for the video!!! Really needed this. Great instruction.
Love it, great incremental improvement over the last jig 😁
Genius. So well presented. I saved a link into word so I can remember it and find it again when I want it. I'd think this process could easily be modified for Octagons. . . . make a stop sign or two for the workshop
Excellent. I needed only a one-time jig, and I built it on my table saw sled according to this great idea. Perfect, and thank you. As some lagniappe, you might try drafting triangles for common angle settings on the table saw. They are absolutely accurate, better perhaps even than ceramic tiles.
Great video. Your precision is inspiring.
Thank you so much!
I like the sled and hope to make one for me and the other vets
Great job! I will have to try making one!
Great tutorial - I will have to build one as well!
Great job on the hexagon jig Marie! Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👌👍😎JP
This makes my brain happy. 😊
thank you!)
Very handy jig! Will have to make one for myself.
I to look at you and how you do things. Thanks Niclas Sweden
Your tape measure can be set further back from the blade and zero point marked on the stop block. Then nip off the point of the stop block to allow for small debris collecting to clear and not skew your cut line. The workpiece is registering off the stop block edge. the point is not required. Should make up several different angled stop blocks. Toggle hold down mounted on the stop block for small work pieces control. thin shims and playing cards at the rear of the stop block can 'shave ' adjust an angle. Many use playing cards and post it notes as jig adjustments shims. Also I've used drafting triangles and such mounted on top of stop block 'pucks' to register the work piece to.
Smart! Thanks for sharing.
For a couple dollars you can get a draftsman’s 30°/60° triangle at most craft or office supply stores.
Felicitaciones un buen instructivo
Thank you!
So cool! Thanks for sharing!
Excellent!!
Very nice job.
Super comme d'habitude
Awesome, one of the most informative videos I've seen 👏
Such an enjoyable, fun video.
Thanks for techniques
