    An understanding of how it works with the relay would help a LOT of people.
    many dont know the ACCY terminal is 12v10a "low amp" Hot with KEY ON from the factory, which wont power much over a GPS, a very basic radio or cb radio, ect... but maybe not all 3 at once?
    ADDING the harness brings 12v HIGH AMPERAGE to the batt+ terminal....
    And with the added RELAY being used to carry the HIGH AMP power across to the normally "low amp" ACCY terminal, so whenever the KEY gets turned ON, the accy terminal will have "low amp 12v" which IMMEDIATLY trips the solenoid, allowing high amp "switched" power to the ACCY terminal, allowing high amp devices to be connected to the "switched" power source...
    At this point you have a batt-, a "constant" Batt+, and a KEY "switched" Hot terminal to connect devices to. ...or another buss coming off the terms as needed for "stacking" room..
    Not knowing this design has caused a lot of people a lot if wasted time when trying to wire in ever more "unnecessary" add-ons😅

    Where does the ACC wire run from that is attached to the BUS?

    For all those on the thread about fuses. Here is an update from the engineering team. "The Buss Bar harness is not a harness designed by Maxxsonics or MB Quart. It is a Polaris component. It contains a 175-200A fuse of some design. If you are blowing this fuse during installation or operation of accessories on the machine, you need a new installer. If you are DIY, you should not be and need to hire a professional with a voltage meter and experience before proceeding with changing the fuse and trying again. You have a short, do not proceed."

    Thanks for the video but what about the other Christmas tree connectors on the harness? Doesn't appear to be any place to secure them to the firewall

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc

      Some vehicles have the provisions for the Christmas tree holders and some don’t. Our vehicle that we installed this on did not have the provisions and we just zip tied the wires to the other wires in the area. Hope that helps with your install.

      @@joannechaidez2657 Hello, same comment. This is a part required to install an MB Quart audio product. We do not have any technical information regarding the harness or trouble shooting it. If your Polaris dealers can't help, consider checking with someone with specific electrical/accessory and trouble shooting experience. A car audio, car alarm company certainly will have the solution. If we find anything that can help in our work, we will post in this thread.

    Just got my chase light on, but when I turn off my rzr the accessory lights stay on..? What did I do and how do I fix it?

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc
      @MaxxsonicsUSAInc  6 років тому +1

      We only deal with the audio, but it sounds like some how when you turn off the vehicle you're still supplying power to the accessory line. Check the manual for the lights and make sure you are running to the accessory line also called "switched 12 volts". If that doesn't solve it, visit a dealer or audio shop.

      Rebecca Deatherage that’s cause the buse bar up front has Constant power. So what you’re going to have to do is find something that turns on and off with the key switch. I tapped into the little blue LED light inside the cab that only comes on when the key is turned on and then I ran my wires from there to my rocker switch and then to my Chase light turns off when the rzr is off. I also have mine wired to a toggle so I can turn on and off when needed

    How do I connect the acc wire

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc
      @MaxxsonicsUSAInc  6 років тому

      Hello Jessie, not sure what you're asking. The ACC wire from an accessory like audio or a winch would be outlined in the manual for that product. The accessory connection in the RZR is already pre-wired to the bus bar. You can see at 03:25 there are several orange ACC lines already on the bus bar for this vehicle.
      All we are showing in this video is powering the bus bar from the batter under the seat and the ground.

    So if you want to put a light bar on your machine do you need to install this? Or can you hook it on to the outer left ring and ground to frame?? Your advice would help thanks!!

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc

      Nathan Zavala all machines need a bus bar. For audio, lights, winches, etc... If the dealer didn’t install it you should. Check with your polaris Dealer.

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc

      Yes, always install the busbar. The frame on these machines are not designed to be an electrical ground. Install the harness and use the busbar for all accessories.

    Is the 4 seater harness the same length as the 2 seater ? I got one for a 4 seater but the dealer said I can't return it

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc

      The busbar is a Polaris piece, we only work on Audio products. To answer your question, the battery to the busbar is different in the 4 vs 2 as the batteries are in different locations.

    What does this harness do? Why install it? I'm having trouble with my batteries, i installed an audio system and Other accessories, something is draining my battery, I can't get to the bottom of it, your advise would help, thanks

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc

      Hello Ivann. Let's separate the issues..
      1 - What is it.. You should never wire any accessory to the battery. As it is under the seat and low in the vehicle.
      2 - The busbar and harness (in this video) moves your 12 volt hot, ground and "switch" wire to the bus bar, which is high in the vehicle which helps it avoid water, mud, etc..
      3 - Whatever is draining your battery requires a professional installer vs. our you tube comments. You should consult your Polaris dealer and ask them to put a voltage meter on your vehicle and accessories to find the amperage draw.
      Thanks for the note, hope this response is helpful.

      Seems like a have to take a couple steps back, I installed a dual battery kit thinking all my problems would be solved with power, even with dual kit i shouldn't install directly to the battery? I was told to connect heavy power accessories to a stud on the plate where my isolator is mounted , if it helps I'm working with a Gensisi off road dual kit for the rzr

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc
      @MaxxsonicsUSAInc  7 років тому +1

      The RZR is not a car. "dual" batteries probably means you have too many accessories. Might be time for a Jeep.

    Sorry for the dumb question, but, after installing this I would just hook whatever accessories I want to use to the bar under the front compartment, correct?

    • @MaxxsonicsUSAInc
      @MaxxsonicsUSAInc  6 років тому +2

      Correct, Polaris uses this strategy to minimize the accessories that are wired directly to the battery, which is lower in the car.

      @@saul822 Mine didn't blow the harness fuse. There is a fuse in the fuse box, I think it was labeled accessories. Basically the accessory bus has its own fuse. Hopefully thats all you need to do.
      I read online(so not sure this is true) the harness fuse is not replaceable, you have to replace the entire harness.

    Does the busbar from the factory already have power with the one wire that's connected to the accessory or do you need this additional harness?

      @jonathanlackman7198 3 роки тому

      @@outdoorzwithcraigdz you need this cable to get adequate power to the bus bar for use with lights and audio. I think that existing wire does nothing, and runs to the key to provide keyed input. But the real solution is this harness to get battery power to the bus.

    • @outdoorzwithcraigdz
      @outdoorzwithcraigdz 3 роки тому

      @@jonathanlackman7198 The bus bar is basically used for just accessory on. The amp is powered directly from the 2nd battery. It would only power the small head unit it which is nothing more than a Bluetooth receiver.
