I can't actually speak Indian, but I do speak Persian, and it surprised me how much they have in common. I could pick up 25 - 30% of the words. The vibe of it reminds me of old romantic Persian poetry.
Yes persian has many similar words to hindi as India is a blend of culture so we use urdu + hindi together. & Most lyrics writers use many urdu words while writing as it gives a whole new feel to song because they sound good.
Hindi is very vast language. It has hundreds of words from Persian, Arabic & Sanskrit. Sanskritised Hindi is used for official work. But normally common mixed Hindi is used. When the Persian and Arabic words are more than normal, it becomes Urdu but still its 95% same with Hindi.
There's no language called "Indian" like German, Chinese, French etc. Hindi is the widely spoken language, lingua franca of the northern region of India. It has lot of loan words from Persian, Sanskrit

I can't actually speak Indian, but I do speak Persian, and it surprised me how much they have in common. I could pick up 25 - 30% of the words. The vibe of it reminds me of old romantic Persian poetry.
Yes persian has many similar words to hindi as India is a blend of culture so we use urdu + hindi together. & Most lyrics writers use many urdu words while writing as it gives a whole new feel to song because they sound good.
