    Gary Oldman has been phenomenal for so long! Very few times has he disappointed since Sid and Nancy in 1986

    "Can't understand her motivation completely."
    Um what? She had to destroy him one way or another to hide her changes. Keep her job, be successful and make money.
    Disclosure isn't a great film, but it does make sense and it's fun.

    Nell 👍🌟🌟🌟
    Immortal beloved 👍🌟🌟🌟
    Drop Zone 👎🌟🌟
    Disclosure 👎🌟🌟
    3:41 Ebert: Most Hollywood leading men, they have lots of problems then they get the girl, with Michael Douglas, he gets the girl & then he has all the problems.
    Siskel: Well taken.

      It's laughably bad ... Jodie Foster is the worst ... she's so hammy in everything she does .. I have no clue why she was such an A lister throughout the years.

      I don't blame him .. Jodie Foster is a terrible actress. Her performance in Nell is laughably bad while also especially cringeworthy. 😂

    • @ricardocantoral7672
      @ricardocantoral7672 Рік тому

      @@Fiveash-Art A terrible actress? You really don't know what you are talking about.

    • @Fiveash-Art
      @Fiveash-Art Рік тому

      @@ricardocantoral7672 I think she's ham fisted .. and it's a matter of taste. I can understand she has a certain amount of technical ability .. but she just annoys me. It's just a preference . "You really don't know what you are talking about." .. says you. Some people don't like the taste of tomatoes ... When they explain why they don't like them , do you denigrate them by telling them 'you don't know what you're talking about' just because YOU like them? The only movie I can tolerate her in is Taxi Driver and I think that's because she wasn't as 'experienced' and came off much more natural. Everything else I've watched, Silence of the Lambs, Nell, Contact, I can't handle how cheeseball she is.. She's corny as hell. She may be able to emote like any A lister .. but for me, she's contrived, forced, and it breaks the emersion. She sucks. ... I did like The Accused.. I'm not sure it was all dependent on her acting though. Generally I can't stand her.

    I agree with Roger in regards to the sky diving scenes(very unique ,artistic and technically well done) but the storyline was not very creative....

    Michael Douglas portrayed a "Dr. Hank Pym" like character in "Disclosure." And Barry Levinson did a "Rain Man" like movie when he directed "Disclosure" in 1994.

    The first IMAX/OmniMAX theater I ever went to was the Reuben H Fleet Science Center in the middle of Balboa Park in San Diego back in the mid/late 1970s before anyone ever heard of IMAX! It's interesting seeing Gene and Roger be so skeptical about the IMAX process now that IMAX has become the most prominent theatrical experience today. So much has changed.

    How amazing to see “The Last Buffalo” on here. I saw that film 5-6 times at Six Flags Great America, where it played in 1991, I believe.

    "I've never seen sky diving scenes like this in a feature film before." .... I can think of one during this time ... Point Break .. an absolute classic graced by the artistry of the great Gary Busey.

      I didn't like Disclosure. Although I liked Donald Sutherland's performance and the scenes of Seattle when it was a great place to live (the 1990s), I thought Demi Moore was utterly wrong for the role. She just isn't sexy enough- if Sharon Stone had been cast instead, the film would have had an electricity that would make one forgive the holes in the plot.

    You don't realize how short life is, but watching this, both of these gems are gone, and this was nearly 30 years ago. Man! Live it up! I loved Disclosure, they were off on this, sounded like a couple of guys who've done nothing but watch and talk about movies all their lives. They completely didn't get all the backstory and factoids to the situation as it was in the film, they missed a lot.

      Are you high? “Sounded like a couple of guys who’ve done nothing but watch and talk about movies all their lives.” Oh, you mean; their profession? Disclosure was garbage. Sorry you liked it and the rest of the world didn’t. No amount of ill-researched “backstory” or “factoids” makes a dime’s worth of difference. BTW, who the fuck says “factoids?” You sound as bad as Douglas in the movie talking about “sexy CD players.”
