Having an argument is one thing but having a physical fight OVER KPOP, chileeee
fr like dude, no.
exactly my cousins always do that with their friend (the only one which they hate with their whole might) and I low-key cringe but get extremely confused (like wtaf it's too stupid) they don't fight physically but with words or either on text. They fight over stupid things like groups they "stan" and their "bias" it's just dumb and stupid.
Bringing it back to first gen lmfao
they were in fifth grade aka elementary school kids. obviously they are gonna be dumb and have trouble regulating their emotions.
well they're a kid. i have lot of physical fight with my best friend for a petty things back then too. for us argument are when we're actually mad and beeing serious about it. physical fight is not really serious for us. which is why classmate are usually cheering us when we fight physically, this kind of fight doesn't leave us awkward and bitter. ig the diffrence between environment? my school are full of deliquent(they're not a bully, just a deliquent). i can't tell from text alone if their violent were done on intimidating malicious way or not tho.
This video is wild, and is the proof that most haters are actually delusional and not just simple internet trolls. Honestly it's scaring me.
Actually 💀💀
I thought ppl just exaggerated in the internet but PPL r like this in real life to
@@aan1606 Me too i can't believe it 😭
Follow me come and get delusion
the unstanning because of sexuality made me laugh, there are lesbians that stan bgs, gays that stan bgs, straights that stan a group of the same gender and so on. if we use that logic then i shouldn’t be stanning anyone because i’m asexual and therefore is not attracted to any gender 😭😭😭
Exactly! I’m straight but I Stan girl groups and only stan 2 bgs.
exactly lmao just cuz I'm a straight guy doesn't mean I'm gonna drop being a bg fan
exactly
As a lesbian, i can confidently say I'm a bougroup Stan -
seriously, I swear I have seen SO MANY LESBIANS in the fandom of my favorite bg alone lol, not to mention all the other bg's that exist. the first IG fan page I found for them was run by a lesbian.
The Lisa-Dahyun situation is probably the most stupid controversy that has happened in Kpop this year. 😭
The fact that some blinks were commenting the most horrendous messages on Dahyun's Insta posts just because girl skipped an ad that most of them would've skipped as well, is just so childish & ridiculous & the main reason why locals will never take Kpop seriously.😤
Both fandoms were being so incredibly toxic
@@siohunndai How were onces being toxic, all they did was say that dahyun has no obligation to promote/watch another idols music on her live stream
@@x_angel_x8714 This whole situation started because onces were mocking Lisa for having her song as an ad.
Saying mark is the most popular because he makes speaking English his whole « personality » is so wack considering he’s one of the most hardworking and talented idols EVER. The guy is in 3 GROUPS like damn 😭
Even if he makes his english his whole personality, I wont judge him, even if people start liking him for his english, they soon or late will find out about his talents, I started stanning him for his rap.
like nct's concept is that it's a global group and they want to target their content to international fans not only korean, so obviously members who speak english are encouraged to do so in their lives and videos like how the hell mark is making it his whole personality?? by speaking english?
@@mypinkexo i mean… the guy is literally canadian do they just not want him to speak his first language 💀💀
Johnny speak english a lot too and is not popular as mark also taeyong ten are loved by general kpopfans and they arent fluent
@@littlebrunar ten is fluent
A lot of these situations would just cease to exist if people stopped tolerating drama from friends 😭
Literally this!
That whole dahyun thing really made my blood boil bc no way people were angry with her skipping an ad
Yeah like it was her bubble live- dedicated to talk to her fans- onces, not blinks. What was she supposed to do? Like play an ad of another group and discuss the music? why is skipping an ad suddently a crime?
Yeah like if I get kpop ads mostly I skip them despite being a Stan and there’s nothing wrong with it
Scenario 13 had me dying. Like everytime you think Blinks cant get more delusional they proove u wrong.
LMAOOO TRUE!
😂😂
FR
Blinks and Armys are the peak of delusional, ffs.
Blinks need to understand that Dahyun deserved like, zero hate in the first place. And for what? Skipping a goddamn ad? Holy shit, fr they’re crazy.
Dahyun deserves an apology honestly. Like she openly supports and shows love for bp and Lisa several times before. Like idk kinda controversial but i dont think skipping an ad is a hate crime
The issue is not that she skipped it, it’s that these ads never existed and it was yt recommended, and she over explained when she could skip it and that’s it, onces started dragging Lisa unprovoked and that’s how lilies/blinks started dragging dahyun, otherwise didn’t even knew bout dahyun vlive, it’s ridiculous how onces played the victim just bc most kpop Stans hate Lisa for no reason
@@levitatingstan6526 what do you mean by the ad never existed because I got the same ad multiple times
@@levitatingstan6526 No blinks and Lillies in particular are Not defending. They are the ones dragging everyone and their mother all the time claiming they are defending their precious millionaires. They are a cult. So is almost every fandom. But Blinks.... They make armys Look calm
@@levitatingstan6526 its funny how u just keep lying to yourself. You know ur wrong just own it
@@levitatingstan6526 yeah now you are trying to change the perspective... Onces dragged Lisa bcuz her ad got skipped, nice logic
The one about her being a lesbian makes NO sense. You should stan based off of your music taste, not your sexuality. It gave me the vibe that she sexualises idols and stans groups with idols she can be attracted to and therefore wanna sexualise. I’m not saying that’s def the case but it does seem that way.
It reminded me of how some people are pissed that the latest kpop idols are now 1 year younger than them despite them finding no wrong in their favourite being at that age previously and them stanning and segsualising them. And I don’t even mean 13 years old but 18 years old even.
I get that many people change ideas, that many feel uncomfortable because seeing your peers having a successful or seemingly dream life compared to you doing something you aren’t passionate about leads to antipathy and bias but with the NJ situation for example (which isn’t much different from most other kpop group from any era and company) , many people exposed themselves as creeps. Some fans out there find it really hard to believe that people can like kpop in all ways and shapes and even interact and want a signed album by the idol and still not segsualize them on the internet. Because their favourites are still around their same age as them maximum and so they don’t consider themselves as inappropriate.
She sound like one of those who segsualize idols and makes their visuals and the way they act (by overanalysing and oversegsualizing it) the only things worth being a fan of and overhype the idol’s skills.
I hate it but I also low-key love it when people expose themselves these ways.
@@matrix-theoriginal.7266 yes absolutely !! Bro I’ve seen fully grown women on TikTok say they wish they were younger or that niki (enhypen) was older so that they could legally have s3x with them- to say I was incredibly disturbed and shocked is an understatement. I get feeling weird over stanning idols younger than you if it’s got an innocent explanation behind it, but it’s clear some feel that way bc they know they wanna sexualise the idols and feel bad abt it if the idol is younger- not that they’re much better, bc sexualising someone is disgusting no matter what
@C · literally like it’s actually insane ?? Ppl seem to not understand that cheating requires 2+ participants. Having a celeb crush is not cheating it’s so normal like one day when I’m in a relationship it won’t change that I’ll continue to be able to find others attractive.
As for feeling guilty for not being as invested in a group?? I’d feel more guilty if I remained completely invested in a group while in a relationship. A relationship requires a lot to keep it going, if you spend all ur time and money obsessed over a music group it won’t be at all healthy in the relationship. Some kpop stans are something else, ik it isn’t my business what they do but it’s concerning
Another that doesnt make sense to me at all about that one is she stanned the bgs in the first place. Like by her logic as a lesbian y did she even touch the bg music then? It doesnt make sense how she stanned to begin with just to unstan based off her secuality. I mean its her choice ig but that seems incredibly shallow to me and like shes only stanning for aesthetics and ‘moral high ground’ maybe even
@@yazzyari9746 yeah true. It’s just rlly dodgy like these are KPOP MUSIC groups were stanning,,, so we should obvs stan bc of the music. I’m not sure when sexuality started having anything to do with music but ok
I can't tell if a lot of these people genuinely didn't realize their behavior was abnormal or not but I get this vibe from kpop fandom that most stans like this genuinely think behavior like this is normal and even okay. Which is really scary. And this is just a small sampling. Wtf...
well its normal outside kpop too. back when i was teen i was like this too. i don't realize my behavior are abnormal, or toxic. like the logic is not there in my head(good thing internet wasn't a big thing back then). if people ask current me why i act that way i honestly don't know the answer. some people are late on developing that area sometimes.
I actually think scenario 8 should’ve gone in the asshole category. They seem like a real selfish and manipulative person in general. Firstly it wasn’t their essay so it wasn’t any of their business, and two, that friend may have been super confident talking about TXT and making them switch their topic could have potentially jeopardised the grade they got for it. All because you don’t like TXT’s music? Bffr
I agree that it was manipulation.
I'm sorry but an opinion of "idol making their personalities about speaking English" just doesn't make sense.
For instance, Lily's first language is English and she grew up in English speaking country and then she started learning Korean when she became a trainee. Of course speaking English is part of her personality, but she's much more than that.
Majority of English speaking idols are always told to speak during western interviews hence why western fans might feel more connected to them.
I was surprised when they used Lily as an example. Like, the best 4th gen vocalist is only popular because she speaks English? wtf?
@@dagarou or 7 years trainee from Kpop Star before that.
I don't think the idols themselves want English to be their whole personality, that's just how FANS view them which is very different. This person just perceives English as the most unique aspect of an idol, that it overshadows their talent, likes/disliles, personality etc.
this whole video got me going through a ROLLERCOASTER of emotions lmao
I SWEAR FROM THE PREVIEW AND I WAS ALREADY DIEING FROM LAUGHTER
Number 13 is just embarrassing. The delusion and low morale that has infested that fandom, and it’s subsidiaries, is truly jarring. It’s just reason number 5001 why everyone, even people that don’t even stan kpop idols, are incessantly annoyed to high hell by blinks 😭 Like all fandoms are annoying but blinks just take the cake.
scenario 13 is so relatable tho and i actually find it hard to believe that some blinks fail to see/admit how toxic their fandom is
These are the reasons why don't tell people I like kpop 💀 some people need to chill wth
Yall if kpop leads to violence irl please get help like where do yall get the energy to do this stuff💀😭
The thing is that with fluent English-speaking idols, their English is really important to the group because in the states their non-English speaking group members rely on the english speaking member to translate and to help them understand, its not their fault
i find it even dumber that whoever sent the confession also continued to list off idols who didnt even grow up in korea... like yeah? maybe the reason they "make english their entire personality" (which is a dumb statement in itself) is bc they grew up and are more fluent speaking english????
@@selmm2023 Also obviously not every member of their group is fluent so it makes them stand out, they don't say every 3 seconds AlSo I aM fLuEnT iN eNgLiSh like BFFR
Scenario 6 person is a official queen! She literally was trying to clarify her delusional friends head cannon and yeah, i do think that fighting for little things can be a much but in all seriousness, what her friends did, they should apologise to her.
As someone who recently discovered AITA, I'm DYING to watch this!! I'm also a casual Kpop listener, so watching how insane some stans are is gonna be FUN. Love your videos, Cheryl!
I finished the video, and, yeah, it was fun. Some people are actually just insane.
The fact that the last OP compared you and ajanaevis is ridiculous. You tell it like it is and the tea is always hot, while ajanaevis just puts unnecessary hate on the groups she doesn't stan and pretends like it's a hot take. Like there's a difference between saying, for example, that X idol needs to work harder on refining their skills versus out right saying an idol is talentless. Like why is there such a need for that negativity?
I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR A COMMENT LIKE THIS. you're so right. bro i don't like ajanaevis. her and Cheryl are VERY different when it comes to being honest about their opinions, ajanaevis is simply just a hater.
For the guy in scenario 1, I think that it's natural to find some people annoying for the way they act/ speak etc, even if they didn't do anything to you. As long as you're still respectful and keep that to yourself you're not an asshole in my opinion. It's true tho that if he is starting to feel bad himself because he thinks it might be something underlying maybe he does need to work on it.
As for scenario 5, I do not think that happens in every case but when it happens, it's the fans fault and not the idols. One thing is that it's true that companies kinda benefit from having an English-speaking member because they reach to international fans better, and another is fans taking it as representation of themselves in the kpop world and making a huge deal about how much they relate to them for the least important things. Like as a moa for example, I've seen so many people freaking out just for hearing Hueningkai say "that's kinda sus" and "thank you for coming to my ted talk" like if him being able to speak English and having access to internet it's the hugest thing ever. "Oh that's so me I feel so seen". I think they're just so used to the cultural shock of having to always understand idols on second hand through subtitles and always under the expressiveness and relational terms of korean culture that whenever they see someone expressing themselves in a way that they would they think it's the hugest deal.
Scenario 7 is not an asshole but it's definitely too young like I could read how that was a child speaking.
I wanted to write exactly the same.
I agree with you, cause i personally don't see anything wrong with 1st scenario. As long as he's not actively hating and, as you said, is keeping the "hate" to himself, that's totally fine. We all have free choice to like and dislike something or someone. Not an a-hole, maybe a lil bit jerkish, but not that bad
about #5 especially because the people mentioned were all born in English speaking countries therefore that language is not only their culture but also part of their personality, certain things don't change that easily. I don't like when people say stuff like this about teenagers, Lily for example, she is still very young, still in phase of brain development, so she is probably trying to figure out some things about herself. Also like you said fans make it a way bigger deal than it is. I wonder if that person feels the same way about Japanese or Chinese idols lol
@@ennauak exactly, since they specified only noticing that about idols who speak English it's why I thought it might be because of the perception international fans have of idols that directly speak their language is different, and sometimes they make a big fuss about how that makes them very relatable just by the fact of,as you say, expressing the culture of the country they were born in. Another example that I think of this is P1harmony's Keeho, it's clear that him being canadian implies that he has a different view from korean idols in many aspects, but that doesn't mean it's his whole personality, fans just choose to overfocus on that, same with Lily.
@@rutherfardcareelium i think that having those thoughts in the first place might be something that he needs to unpack though. even though he isn’t inherently an asshole because he’s not acting on those thoughts those thoughts are still wrong and should be unpacked. there is definitely some underlying internalized homophobia and misogyny at play here.
Imagine fighting over K-pop 💀
Like I get arguing but literally dragging of the hair 😭?
I don't know why we think kids can handle being idols when most kids can barely handle being a fan of one lol.

Please make this a series, I'm enjoying the chaos 😭
The dahyun lisa one boiled my blood istg
I'm surprised about the scenario 14, because le sseraffim helped me to be more confident in myself. They're have to be pretty because is part of the job, but if you leave your biases against pretty people outside, you'll find an amazing idol group.
Girl, I'm home alone and you were keeping me company😭 Of course I would love to listen to you more, I love your voice😭
Not the p1harmony slander.
Yes
I disagree with scenario 1 and 14 because they acknowledged their bias and that what they are saying is just their feelings. They didn't say that idols are inferior for being fem or that they are all talentless and arrogant if they are good looking. They said they felt that way and they acknowledged that as unjustifiable and those feelings definitely come from withing themselves. So I think they are either yellow or green because we all have feeling like that and what makes us not assholes is realizing that they are unfair and figuring out the reason why we have that prejudice.
I also think that scenario three is absolutely in the red. That is some psycho shit right there. Also I'm not vibing with punishing only the best friend. It's giving misogyny because it's the boy friend who was in a relationship with you not the best friend. Although the best friend is defo an asshole. And they burned the merch and the tickets instead of selling or giving them away for someone more worthy to enjoy???? And then locked the best friend out of a shared apartment? They didn't deserve that but is absolutely the asshole for their response.
I mean like the best friend does deserve a lot of crap though, they aren’t a baby that doesn’t know anything about the world, like if their brain isn’t for decoration anyone with a braincell and some empathy knows that they shouldn’t get with their friends current partner and many would even go as far to say ex partners or even crushes, the boyfriend does deserve his balls kicked but if one breaks up with their boyfriend the one they will cry to talk to and trust more is their best friend, I think you guys should stop calling women getting their ass beat by other women misogyny because it is also condescending to indirectly claim that women don’t have the brains to know to NOT CHEAT WITH YOUR BEST FRIENDS PARTNER. Women are smart, women are responsible, they can take accountability for being a bitch. Op probably did things to their best friend first because logistically since ex bestie lives with them it’s easier to punish them for betraying OP’s trust. It’s not like OP went after a random stranger it’s a best friend, you trust your best friend sometimes even more than your own boyfriend so even though OP was an ass, the rest of the people in the situation was also assholes, tbh OP should’ve done the more annoying route of punishment like getting rid of one side of the shoe or sth like that
With the English one some idols are justice comfortable speaking in a language they grew up speaking
I think you should do more of these because you’re teaching people (mostly sounds like teenagers if not younger) things that seem like they should be obvious.
wasn’t expecting the sudden p1harmony slander 😭😭😭 /lh
Cheryl i really disagree on something.
You labeled multiple people assholes for feeling a certain way. You can't help how you feel though - you can unpack why you feel that way, you can try and change your view, or just be conscious of not letting that affect how you treat people, but you can't always change it. And a person can't be blamed over something they have no control over.
The person that said they get the vibe that conventionally attractive idols must not be talented also said, that they're aware that vibe is incorrect. Theyr'e self reflecting enough to actively seek out advice on this, and trying to not let their biases guide them in the wrong direction. That's in my opinion a good trait, and rewarding them for this behavior by saying they're the assholes for daring to feel a certain way seems contraproductive.
I genuinly think this is a really bad approach, i hope you read this comment and think about it.
Love ya, thanks.
That one about Sunghoon was weird. Like, OP felt strange about him since I-land? Sunghoon was the most unproblematic one during I-land, so I don't understand.
And of course, as you said it Cheryl, it's hypocritical to just hold Sunghoon accountable for something that also other members did. And I would add it's also hypocritical to continue bringing up the same couple of clips without also talking about the many more other instances where the members (Sunghoon included) encouraged Sunoo to eat, praised him and were caring towards him.
Then if OP doesn't want to support Enhypen anymore it's their choice, but let's not pretend Sunghoon is the evil corrupting the group.
It’s kind of weird how people act like he’s the devil’s spawn for doing something so normalized in Korea. Like, yes it’s not ok to fatshame and we as fan can hope he saw that it was really bad behavior, but lets not act like almost every idol doesn’t talk about weight a lot and like we don’t see fat shaming a lot in K-media because it’s 100% there. We can’t just blame him for something everyone in his country basically is raised with like that’s just unfair in my opinion.
@@rose-nn3wj Exactly, virtually every k-pop group has members who have said something similar at some point since it's not seen as an issue there. Yet when people bring that up, their fans say "they are so close like family so it's ok, that's how they joke with each other" like bitch? You're crucifying EN- for it because you already dislike them so it's the perfect opportunity to jump on the hate bandwagon, but then when receipts get pulled up of your faves doing the same it's suddenly ok and they have a good reason? it's the double standards, lack of consistency & lack of genuine concern about the situation for me. They purely use it as a weapon to drag EN- with lmfao.

I do gotta say like. As a lesbian who doesn’t make it my whole personality I think it makes sense to become less invested in boy groups because you realize you’re a lesbian. I got into Kpop while the 2nd gen was happening and figured out I was a lesbian at the start of 4th gen and I really lost interest in male groups for the most part.
I wouldn’t specifically instantly unstan a group because I realized I was a lesbian but it does on some level effect how much I become interested or invested.
Just my two cents!
That said I know many lesbians who love BTS so it’s really personal how each individual processes their interests! Just personally I get being less interested as a lesbian!
Don’t unstan just because of it.

As someone that watched the drama from the sidelines, I think that non of this would've happened if onces had just left the situation alone. Okay Dahyun skipped the ad, why did the fans have to bring that specific part of the livestream on to twitter to shade lisa? And the fact that the kpop community continually agrees that blinks are the most toxic, but still do/say shady shit about BP, and then act like they did not expect blinks to attack them is insane. I'm not defending blinks (as they are definitely out of line), but the fact that onces are not taking acountability for their stupidity in this situation and putting all the blame on blinks is actually laughable.
When kpop stans just focus on their faves and leave other idols alone then we will know peace. smh.
@@ashliegh115 Yeah, that's antoher point I forget to bring, Yeah Dahyun skiped lalisa and..? Why is that bad and why Lisa recive hate from that?! Some blinks say horrible thinks to Dahyun only for skipping the ad or the video idc, and then a lot of onces take that as "omg Dahyun HATES Lisa music, Lisa is *horrible things*". And I agree, some people say "omg blink is so toxic" while they are saying the most horrible things to BP and they expect Blink doesn't day anything..? Is like punching someone and then complaining that they punch you back 🤨
If people stops searching for content of thing the say they hate, leave alone people they say they don't like and stop trying to bring to the table things they say the hate, nothing of this will happen ever again.
I had a similar situation to scenario 4, actually, but it's a comforting fact to know that fans genuinely care about her. I hope she stays healthy and is always shining 🥰
3 - ESH (everyone sucks here) i feel bad for the person, but to destroy someone’s property and burn stuff because you’re emotions is just a wrong way to deal with it
I feel like there needs to be a “you’re not wrong, you’re just an asshole” tier.
As someone who loves watching AITA comments and kpop, thank you for this. This was really entertaining (and lowkey scary that some of these people are actually delusional and think they have no fault, talking about that one blink), I would love if you made more of these videos because god knows how many the K-pop community can be wild to say the least.
Tbh with opinion 5 I get where they’re coming from but TBH idols also need to get their popularity and money and if that takes showing off your English skills I would also do that
Nah, because scenario 7 was so wild i'm actually in shock💀
the whole "they make speaking english their whole personality" and then continue to list off idols who have lived in english speaking countries...like i'm sorry what?? lily, mark and jessi all grew in australia/canada/usa respectively, and are more fluent in english than korean, especially lily. i don't really know what people expect from them
I really like this video, this concept suits you
Nah, a lot of these were actually wild and stupid. 😭
Some of these confessions are wiiiillld. I agree with you on most of these (actually all of them, I think)
Some blinks r seriously delusional.I am a blink myself but some fans take it too far when "defending" the blackpink members istg.
So good 😊 I'm in love with you videos Cheryl . The only videos that can make my day .
A-hole or not, these are all embarrassing (except victim of cheating). I hope they all realize at some point that kpop is literally just music and they shouldn't make it their whole personality
YAAAY!!! NEW EGU VIDEO!!! Best way to start the day 😌🙌💙
SO TRUEEEEE
I wake up to a new video! What a great way to start my day! Let's go!
THANK YOU for saying what you said to #14. like them, I have had so many insecurities in my life but not once has that led me to assume bad things abt people who are conventionally attractive. in fact, most of my biases are the visuals bcs I'm one of the few people who see past their outward appearance and appreciate them for their talents and skills that they worked hard to improve over time. and I do this bcs that's also what I want ppl to do to me: to see past my appearance and appreciate me as a real person with my own special capabilities. literally there should be no reason for anyone to dislike a person just for being good looking, especially if they haven't done anything bad to you
Luv the *air quotes* versatility lol
This vid was fun, i was shocked and cackling
Oh my god le gasp made my day thanks Cheryl
I've found my new favorite content on this channel after stage presense. Some stories were questionable but ended up making me laugh very much! Kpop is making people go crazy, I tell you that
Amazing editing as always! Also on the Wonyoung one, I'M SO CONFUSED? Like, i don't need even 2 seconds to go to a video with wonyoung in it, go to the replies of a comment about wonyoung and I'm immediately hit with AT LEAST 20 hate replies. Like, how do u not see that?
Also, unrelated but, Rośe is glowing in that pic!
This video was wild but I loved it! I agree with you so much
I would've watched the 50 minutes Haha. This Is a genius idea! I love reading AITA, so this was very fun for me. Props to the brave people who sent their cases.
okay but finding an idol annoying it’s normal , as long as you’re respectful about it and don’t go out of you way to let it be known then there’s no problem with it, everyone dislikes idols for so many different reasons, you disliking them because they’re feminine (a bit weird) i dislike idols who are way too obviously fake or act in a dramatic way but i don’t go out of my way to send them hate or even mention them , so it’s fine
yea, doesn't egu resent some idols for things they didn't do hmm..
@@onceinamillion5549 what’s egu
@@rotminsi7790 everglowup
@@onceinamillion5549 wait what does she resent
@@onceinamillion5549 That’s a bad choice of wording. She gets bad vibes from them so she’s extra careful about any sus behaviour, but she doesn’t outright send hate to or talk shit about them. Huge difference. There is no hatred there.
I swear I love your videos so much, I just listen to them while doing chores and it's so entertaining!
PLEASE MAKE ANOTHER ONE OF THESEEE
Yay my favorite queen is back with another video 👑👑👑
Gotta say I’ve never seen this type of video before, but it’s super fun to see! Kinda wanna submit one myself cuz tbh I have a juicy AITA moments 😬😬😬
Yesss more everglow up videos
This was fun! Love to see this content!
Okay, time to make all of the lawyers in my family proud and unabashedly judge everyone! Woohoo!
1. As a fellow feminine member of the alphabet mafia, yes. You are definitely in the wrong for disliking someone simply for being more on the feminine end of the spectrum. I appreciate the self awareness though and think that you should probably seek out a therapist because it sounds like there's some internal conflict that needs to be addressed. Like the saying goes, "If you can't love yourself, how can you expect to love anyone else?" Just the fact their names being brought up causes you to feel annoyed is a big red flag to me that something needs to be resolved there.
2. Two words: Kwon. Mina. You are absolutely in the right here. A part of human nature that doesn't get discussed enough is how we crave accountability and for behavior to be match with what is considered a just outcome. Seeing people thriving in an industry where they can attain all of the wealth, popularity, and success that they desire without doing anything causes a lot of aggravation (especially for those working hard, struggling, and not seeing the rewards of their efforts come to fruition). This is also why a lot of influencers are despised. You see someone going viral for just bobbing their head and then BAM! Instantly famous and successful. Whereas other content creators put years into their platforms and don't get the recognition that they deserve.
3. YAAAS!!! SLAY QUEEN!!! Okay... let's pretend that arson and wrongfully evicting someone without warning aren't crimes... I definitely think that there should have been some retribution for their actions. But destroying irreplaceable items? That's a little too far in my opinion. I'd be surprised if they didn't sue you for this. Hopefully they can move on and so can you. But seriously, try to not resort to breaking the law next time. Try bones. Those at least heal (insert angel emoji here lol)
4. I don't even see them in the wrong (unless they're actively trying to say that Wonyoung doesn't get as much hate as she does). I just want to know what parts of social media they're a part of where one of the most hated idols isn't being hated so much. Where is this magical land of unicorns, fairies, and rainbows?
5. Unpopular opinion: Companies probably make idols learn English (I've noticed this a lot with the fourth generation) so that they can grow a wider fanbase outside of South Korea. What I will say is that it depends on what you're watching. If you're watching interviews with international companies (Vogue, Glamor, Billboard, talk show hosts, etc.), then you might think that. But if you're watching variety content, it's very rare that these idols speak in English. Plus, a lot of these idols are put on the spot for their English speaking abilities because of the international reach. Look at how SME was hosting a livestream to discuss upcoming events and they were bringing out idols specifically for their abilities to speak in English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. So yeah, I think you should just be mindful of what content you're watching. And also, let's not demonize people for wanting to speak their native language.
6. "AITA for ... gaslighting my friends". Yes. Yes. YES! Next question! lol Okay, in all seriousness, it doesn't seem like you actually gaslit them. Can we just stop overusing that word? I swear, I see/hear it every single day (not used properly) and it's going to end up with all of the other labels (bigoted, racist, homophobic, etc.); overused to the point where nobody takes it seriously anymore. Back to OP. I don't think they're the AH here. If your friends (hopefully ex-friends now) don't want to believe that Woojin is innocent (which he is), then they can live in their warped reality all that they want to. It's not worth keeping toxic people like that in your life.
7. GET HER!!! Okay, again, violence isn't the answer. But those people who see idols as "their idols" are... I swear, it's the entitlement for me... Being an idol is a job. Not a lifestyle choice. It's work. And the fans who can't see that are beyond help. But given that this happened to OP in elementary school, I'm going to hope that the other girl has grown up now. (That or she probably has a shrine dedicated to Jungkook in her closet... *shivers*) So yeah, I think you probably could have handled that a lot more civilly. But since you were both kids, I'm sure that you realize that how you behaved was wrong.
Side note: WHAT'S UP WITH ALL OF YOU PEOPLE FIGHTING OVER KPOP THIS MUCH AT SCHOOL??? All I cared about during school was worrying about not bombing English because according to my teachers, I "struggle to stay on topic when writing". Like, that's ridiculous! When do I ever stray from the topic at hand? Speaking of which... what was I talking about? Oh yeah! KPop at school! Focus on your studies and just make a KPop club for after school then. Y'all are scaring me.
8. I-... Jail. Electric chair. All of you! If she thinks that TXT is the best 4th gen boy group, then let her write her essay. See what her talking points are. And because you intervened, now she wrote about P1Harmony when we all know that the best 4th gen boy group is obviously Oneus! lol But yeah, no, you were really in the wrong here for preventing someone for writing about something that they're passionate about. This crime against art shall not be tolerated!
9. HELL NO!!! Who was that commenter? We shall burn them at the stake! What...? --- That's not legal anymore? Ugh! Fiiine!!! But no, you are far from being in the wrong here. As long as you said that Cheryl's vid inspired you, then that's pretty much all that you need unless you just copied and pasted everything she did into your own vid. But yeah, I don't think that you did anything wrong here.
Another side note: Cheryl, I wouldn't have noticed the number order if you didn't point it out... This video is now cursed... If anyone needs me, I need to grab salt, spices, and herbs at the market to lift this.
10. Not at all. I've unstanned a fair share of groups for a multitude of reasons like lackluster and/or infrequent releases. Totally normal. Totally okay.
11. Ummm... WHAT? How do those two things even correlate? Do you know how many lesbian Armys and Stays that I know? Do you only stan people you're attracted to? That sounds so superficial... I'm so confused here!
Also, I will take that cookie if OP doesn't want it lol
12. Let's be real here. We've all had our skepticisms about people we've never met (you've even said that about Mina). So, it's not completely out of the realm of possibility that something about Sunghoon is rubbing OP the wrong way. But you're right in that they shouldn't only be holding Sunghoon responsible for the alleged bullying allegations against Sunoo because 1. We still don't know the reality of the situation and 2. All of the members have been accused to engaging in said activities. So yeah, I think that OP is allowed to dislike Sunghoon (without being openly toxic towards him), but shouldn't hold a double standard against him.
13. And on today's episode of "How Blinks Are Single Handedly The Absolute Worst Fandom In Existence"... I think that sums up my feelings pretty well. Blackpink deserve better fans (and I know that they have better fans, but these people ruin it for everyone).
14. As one of the many people here who struggles with self image, I can relate to the disconnection part. There have been times where I'm having a bad day and I can't even watch some of my favorite male idols because I start feeling self conscious about my appearance. But it's never gone so far that I think that they're unworthy of their success and that it's solely created because of their looks. I get seeing someone online and immediately thinking "Look how attractive they are and how many followers they have. They must be a terrible person!" I used to do that a lot. But I became aware of the issue, I worked on not feeling that bias anymore, and now it's manageable. Moving forward, you should try telling yourself to not think that way anytime that those judgements start entering your mind. And frankly, yes. There are plenty of people who are attractive and full of themselves and it sucks. But since KPop requires much more than looking good, it's a pretty fair assumption that the majority of these idols are really hard working and that's humbled them to some degree.
15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!! I needed a good laugh lol Juice? Controversial? I love him to death! But yeah, if Cheryl's content is scalding hot tea, Juice's content is ice water in terms of how controversial they are. But hey, as long as you're not engaging in toxic behavior, then it's totally fine to enjoy controversial channels. As a White person, I know that you can't just get by on bland food forever XD
Don't pretend like there aren't people who are willing to listen to you for 2+ hours every time that you stream lol
THIS IS WILD! Yall are something else 🤣
[Another comment] I'm sorry, but Dahyun receiving death threats because she skipped an ad is just ridiculous. I swear kpop fans will find ANYTHING to use against an idol, even the simplest and littlest things. They could be pouring themselves a bowl of cereal, they get hate. They could be on their phone texting, they get hate. Honestly, ya'll need to chill out. This is so embarrassing and a waste of time
Number 1 makes me sad tbh. And I’m so happy that that once isn’t responding to that blink and she isn’t letting her friend get to her.
Before I even start, can I say yey? Two of my favorite things: k-pop and Am I the a-hole videos in one go!
Love your videos Cheryl 🖤🖤🖤
I disagree about the Sunghoon one. Not saying I dislike Sunghoon personally, but there is one idol I got bad vibes of that is now in a scandal similar to that and I am not supporting them. If one person doesn't pass my vibe check I don't support them and can't stan the group, and considering that the first time this happened was in 2008/2009 when I couldn't stan big bang because Seungri gave me bad vibes I will stick to my guns on this. That being said....... are these people all 12?
