I thought there were a couple of calls that could have gone the other way that hurt the packers. But I will freely admit the lions have gotten massively screwed multiple times against the packers. The Hail Mary pass should never have happened. And a couple of ticky tacky hands to the face penalties in another game let the packers move down the field to kick a game winner.
Correct. I do not know why it is so hard for people to understand that. People KNOW you have to have Both Feet Inbounds on a catch. Where as in College you only have to have One Foot. Being 'Down' you have to be touched where as in college you do not.

when they are taking a knee/sliding, they are giving themselves up and ending the play. that's why players get penalized for hitting a sliding qb. with this play, the qb wasn't intending to give himself up, so its treated the same way a receiver who caught a pass and fell over is. until a defensive player touches the qb/receiver when they are on the ground, the ball is still live
If you go down on your own the play can continue. If you go down due to the other team’s contact the play is over. Go down voluntarily the play is over.
Only when it's an intentional act of giving up on a play. To fall down and get up and continue on the NFL legal, unless you are touched by the other players when your knee is on the ground.

That PI on Arnold at the goal line was weak. On the same drive Smith's hands to the face was bogus. There's no penalty for hands to the neck.Excuses. Play better and don' t leave the game in the refs hands.

The only thing that I don't understand is, when a quarterback takes a knee, that becomes a play and the clock keeps running. But yeah the quarterback trip took a knee and yet was able to hand the ball off?? shouldn't have the play been called down?
when they are taking a knee/sliding, they are giving themselves up and ending the play. that's why players get penalized for hitting a sliding qb. with this play, the qb wasn't intending to give himself up, so its treated the same way a receiver who caught a pass and fell over is. until a defensive player touches the qb/receiver when they are on the ground, the ball is still live
If you go down on your own the play can continue. If you go down due to the other team’s contact the play is over. Go down voluntarily the play is over.
Only when it's an intentional act of giving up on a play. To fall down and get up and continue on the NFL legal, unless you are touched by the other players when your knee is on the ground.
@@Picasso-f9j Technically not correct. You intentionally put a knee down the play is over. No opposing player touch is required. But this doesn’t stop players from touching a kneeling player to leave no doubt in the officials mind.

🥱 Packers defense is bad vs good teams, they’re defensive stats are twice as high vs the 3 teams they lost to compared to the other teams which they’re undefeated against. If the Packers got the ball last the Lions would be 11-2. As expected the Lions defense is trending downward. They’re losing too many players. Not sustainable.
