- This is a real-time radiance field render using 3D Gaussian Splatting. The subject is San Carlo alle Quattro Fontane (San Carlino) in Rome, Italy. It's my favorite church in Italy, and was designed by Francesco Borromini in 1638.
I took these photographs in 2016, and made a photogrammetry model that can be seen here: skfb.ly/GPZN
3D Gaussian splatting, combined with Unity's real-time rendering, means that new video renders look far better than using just the textured photogrammetry mesh!
Wonderful. Thank you. Omnia ad marjoram Dei Gloriam.
Wow, that's crazy.
Can I please ask how are you exporting the point clouds to unity?
Sorry for the dumb question, just realized that the .ply file gets exported automatically.
Two versions are saved: 7k iterations and 30k. You then import those into unity using this premade project: github.com/aras-p/UnityGaussianSplatting
