I really want Twilight Princess and Windwaker HD and the June direct is the last hope I have for them for a while as ports. At the same time though, I'd love a new 2D Zelda like many whether its an original game or remake. I do think now is the best time for both.
I don't know that we'll get "new" 2D Zelda games again, Aonuma made some remarks that they're leaving older style Zelda games behind in favor of BotW/TotK style (he said he doesn't understand how any fans can prefer older games when BotW/TotK offer more freedom)
I find it weird that Nintendo used non-Japanese names as codes for their games but as long as I get TP HD on Switch I'll be happy like I don't care about the next console I just want this game on the Switch.

TPHD was literally set up to fail on Wii U. It came out right at the end of the console's life span, when everyone was already talking about BotW, it wasn't backwards compatible on Switch, and people could just play the Wii version on Wii U anyway. And now it seems like it might not come out on Switch at all! Of all the Wii U games to be ported over, it seems like it should have been one of their first priorities, yet it has obviously been their last priority, which is very disappointing.

I believe the codename Edward is definitely the Oracles Remake. Link's Awakening's code was Richard (named after the crocodile, I believe). If we consider the history of the Kings of England, you will notice that there was once a time when a King named Richard once ruled after Edward. This is the reason I believe it is the oracles, since it is the successor of Link's Awakening. Don't get me wrong, I believe these will come in this direct, at least one of the two. Nintendo has had them in the fridge for years. But this codename is a completely new remake.

I am more hoping to play Winwaker again over Twilight Princess. Not because I enjoyed the open water exploration in traveling from island to island. But this version of Ganondorf had more in depth to his character (since he was coveted the wind and green field of Hyrule since the Gerudo Desert carried nothing but suffering and ruin).
People need to temper their expectations. Im sure this “Edward” game exists, but there is nothing suggesting it’s coming this year besides the assumption that we have to get a Zelda every year.

What Nintendo isn't necessarily doing is putting GAMECUBE games that were already REMASTERED ON WII U on the Switch. I see that being brought up a lot in discussions and I don't think the Wii U factor makes much sense if the titles were not original to the Gamecube. Ultimately, Nintendo is a business and they're in it for the money. Would TP and WW sell as much on the Switch as say TOTK or BOTW? I somehow doubt that.

I am starting to wonder more and more that perhaps the “Edward”could be A Link Between Worlds. Its another top down game, it came out 11 years ago, and I believe it would do really well on Switch. Personally, I would rather something else, especially a new title. However it has been long enough I would definitely replay ALBW on switch. The more Zelda on switch the better!
