Thank you for the recommendations, I appreciate your in-depth reviews and discussion. I love your hoodie, btw! On a side note, you have such a pretty smile!
So many of these are on my TBR (and have been for like…an embarrassing amount of time). Going to the library tomorrow morning, gonna grab some of these finally!
I love these videos! I read last house of needless street earlier this year and loved it so need to read sundial asap! I just finished the Writing Retreat too and loved how chaotic it was, haha. Adding all of these to my TBR 🙌
thank you so much!! 💖 yesss, sundial was a wild ride to say the least!! the writing retreat was so chaotic! that’s the perfect word to describe it - the twists were 🤯 hope you enjoy them!!!
I love Simone St. James -- the first book I read by her was "The Haunting of Maddy Clare" on Kindle and I've read every one since. I highly recommend Michelle Paver's "Dark Matter" as I had to turn on every light in the house and pull the covers right up to my neck. Also Dan Simmons' "A Winter Haunting."
Everyone seems to praise Michelle Paver's book as being really scary. Hmm, I wonder. And the Dan Simmons book seems to be connected to his previous book _Summer of Night._ Do you know that one?
I knew Josh Malerman wrote Bird Box and the movie adaptation seemed great but he really hit my radar when I heard about the book Incidents Around the House. I was actually thinking he was a sci fi author until I saw the back to back releases in the horror genre. I’m really looking forward to reading more of his books!
Hey Georgia...I got a scary story to tell while I prepare a Limoncello..it's about a 18 wheeler truck driver who stopped at a Truck Stop to fuel up his rig and he was in a hurry to make it to Los Angeles CA so it was very dark and foggy so he was on his way when out of nowhere a young woman flagged him down and he rolled down the window of his truck and said to her do you need a lift to which she answered yes I live about 15 miles iup ahead so the trucker gives her a lift as they drove down 115 miles down the highway she told him to stop and she proceeded to get off but the fog was so thick she actually disappeared from sight and the truck driver decided to wait another 3 hours before daybreak when daylight appeared he noticed a little house over the meadow he went there to ask about the young woman and the father of the house said you must be looking for my daughter she died 5 years ago and the truck driver stood there in disbelief.
Such a great video, I always wait for this one from you :) I picked up 2 books so far, Petrified Women and also Hidden Pictures today. Will think of some good recs to share with you and comment back :)
Do you have read the terryfing short stories "Mr. Justice Harbottle" and "Squire Toby's Will" by Sheridan Le Fanu, the series of ghostly tales in the book Can Such Things Be? by Ambrose Bierce and the classic book A Warning to the Curious by M.R. James? If you like the terror genre you will love these stories. They would be great reading for this month.
Hi! New subbie here 🥰 I, too, have a booktube channel 😊for all things bookish, ofc🥰I am also a UK book lover!😍Some of these books were already on my booklist but NOW I've added all the rest, hehe 🙃Thanks for another great video, Georgia. Absolutely loved it xoxo
So I "recently" bought The Troop cause it was recommended when I searched for horror novels on Amazon. I haven't read it yet, so when I saw that it was your first book, I was like "no spoilers". I had to skip to the next book.
yes!!! i must say, i googled the chapter it was in so that i could prepare myself and definitely skim read 90% of the animal stuff so it wasn’t too harrowing - i got the idea but didn’t have to read in detail that way!!
@@georgianic I really wanted to love it! I did some of it. I just got September House I’m reading it so far it’s good I’m on chapter 5. Have you read it? I just got All Hallows by Christopher Golden. It looks good!!

Hi, congratulations for your reviews. I have always followed your advice. I was really struck by the beauty of "Motion Detection", a thriller book that I found by chance on Amz while looking for a new book. The cover intrigued me, it's an unusual book with a spectacular ending, I highly recommend it!
Loved the creepy pictures in Hidden Pictures. Good story.

This book scared me! Hard to read in the dark while in bed!

Hidden PIctures must be so good, my library stocks it but it's always out. I would also recommend Home Before Dark Riley Sager.

Wanted to watch your review and thoughts on the only one left but even though it's in your little video description it's no where in the video...
hey! thanks for watching - the only one left chat starts at 13.51 ☺️
I can’t read The Troop because of the animal shit. Body horror is stuff I love but Cutter loves animal horror.

thanks for your support my love!! 💖 he is incred!! oh i wish i had met him! snapped up the signed version at waterstones!!

I didn’t like Hidden Pictures. It was so predictable.
