- Only a few years ago, President Thomas S. Monson, Prophet of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, declared that young men could serve missions beginning at the age of 18, and young ladies beginning at the age of 19. Over 60 BHS students were called to serve missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints during the 2014/2015 school year. This is a tribute to all those going out to serve the Lord.
Being a missionary is a great responsibility! The missionary must have great energy, fortitude and courage. Wherever the issionary goes, in whatever part of the world he is in, he must spread the Word. The local people must understand what the missionary is saying to them. The missionary must get the Word right to the people! Therefore, every missionary must know the language of the local people! To everyone who is going on a mission or preparing for one I would like to recommend a very good workshop by Yuriy Ivantsiv Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign language. This excellent book will give you answers how to correctly learn a foreign language with a minimum of your time and effort. This book answers many of the questions that everyone faces when learning a language. Good luck with your important work!
I remember in 1981 opening my 'letter' alone and seeing Italy Padova mission. I tossed it on the cupboard for whoever else wanted to see it later. I then had supper and a shower. As luck would have it, the good Lord shortened missions for Elders to 18 months when I was out. Then back to two years after I got home.
Crazy how things have changed.. I bet Italy was amazing!

I PRAY DAILY for #ALL y'all do,have done for me,and will continue to do for our HEAVENLY father and the BEST decision of my life happened when I made the choice to get baptized on March 24th 2018 I love all of y'all I'm so happy to be a sister and had a calling in primary which I love so very much I am terminally ill but by the grace of God and by the strength of our heavenly father I get to church every Sunday it may take me a week of bedridden to go to church every Sunday and to teaching primary but I wouldn't have it any other way! Always know you're in my prayers and may those doors open and every heart be opened to here what you have to say because I believe this with all of my heart and it took me 48 years to get there but I got there because of y'all

I’m graduating this same high school this year and got my call to the Sweden Stockholm mission
Wow. It gets real chilling at 6:00 minutes. Really creeped me out.
Any religious person who claims to know the true church and the true prophet are indoctrinated. They confuse belief with knowledge.
We believe the Holy Ghost testifies of all truth. Often times He speaks through positive feelings. If you ask God humbly and with real intent to learn the truth He will answer. James 1:5 :)
@ce collie If what is being taught:
1) is without sound evidence
2) a strong expectation to submit and zero tolerance for disagreement backed up with threats
3) there is an emotional stake instilled in the believer
4) the believer's entire identity is tied to the belief.
This is indoctrination. If the shoe fits, wear it.
