Wow, this is the most Awesome Annette video ever! Kudos 2reeler for this Epic vision of my favorite 20s singer! I fell in love with her voice when I heard her sing in Sita Sings the Blues!
Clever and adorable video. I appreciate that you made it AUTHENTICALLY late 1920s early 1930s. Some posts on You Tube mix up the 1920s with the 1940s and even 1950s. I don't care for that. This was great and loved the music. Hope you'll do more of this.
It has been such a long time ago showing yourself again. I'm happy you are still there. Thansk for sharing the beauties again. Greetings from the Netherlands. André
I must say that these Two-Reelers that you do are just THE BEES' KNEES - no doubt !! In addition to the spiffy sides themselves, the bits-and-pieces of graphics both moving and static, all combine to create a whole new thing/experience. You should be given a special award or recognition, or something. Yeah, a little late in coming because I just now happened onto your productions but, nevertheless, my congratulations to you for your miniature masterpieces of novel kind and workmanship. I'll be watching and enjoying them all.
Simple and beautiful, emotional on everyday love...... and before diet maniacs that hate food hit the scene. People in the 20s ate lots of bacon, whole eggs, bread, etc and where thin!!!!
They sure look like it to me. The green baker girls holding the giant knife and forks are also. Art Deco with that zig zaggy angular style of the day is all over the place! Isn't this the most unique of all the Annette Hanshaw videos?! I love Frankarts and they fit in this 1930 era vid perfectly.
Thank you whoever did this. It is lovely. I love the way she goes : " That's all " on her recordings quite often. Thanks.
