- A few days ago I released the Beyond Light SOUL LINK, which was my take on a 2 player Destiny NUZLOCKE. I figured some of you may be interested in seeing some behind the scenes stuff as well as the outtakes from our recording sessions :). I had fun putting this little reel together and I hope you enjoy it! Like for the REDACTED story to continue!!

I especially loved this because it actually reminded me of old red vs blue animations but a little choppy which makes sense because you are one person! But still nostalgia hit with it and this was definitely my favorite nuzlocke!

Always had respect for the craft but never realized just how much went into it
I really liked the Soulink idea however for the Final Shape Nuzlocke it'd only make sense to start and end it solo.
Really happy to see how Toad evolves with his animation, really loving seeing it and hoping to learn from it a bit myself

As for The Final Shape Nuzlocke, I think a 1-Person Nuzlocke should be what happens. Save the Soul Link for something easier, such as Shadowkeep, if you decide to do that. Plus it could be an interesting story element for the Raid of the expansion too. Trying to get together your fireteam could make for a really interesting and funny moment.

Hi, user of Maya here. I’ve learned a ton of different things in it; basic modeling, character modeling, prop/item modeling, building modeling, UVing/texturing, character animation including lip syncing, hard surface modeling and environment making (with use of Unreal Engine).
I personally don’t feel like my current skills wouldn’t be enough to contribute to something like this, but the idea of using motion capture suits greatly intrigues me, as I’ve always done animation by hand using the bones of a character, inverse kinematics is king. Maya is the only software I’ve used for this kind of animation, and it’s been a good time!

Dude, as someone who as played beyond light MANY times, and eventually found the story mundane and dry (in d2 not ur video) YOUR TAKE ON BEYOND LIGHT IS SO AWESOME!!!! It's a fresh take, and the fact that you took something and made it feel SO MUCH BETTER, and the funny moments, the intensity of the combat animation, and the BUNNY GHOST, and so much more, omg you really are an awesome youtuber among youtubers! I really love not only the animation but also the fact you make shiny forms of each of the enemies! Also I may know someone who works in blender, I would have to ask them how much they know and if they would help you.

I think doing both an individual nuzlocke and a 2-3 player soul link could be cool. Maybe do whichever fits with the story you're trying to tell first? Then, do the other more for fun so it's less work in terms of using animations and all the other stuff that builds up and adds complexity and time to the production.
You could test run that with the wq and lf campaigns to see how it might work, sorta like you did here with beyond light.
Either way, I look forward to it. Keep up the great work :)

Man, I'd love to do something like this. Specifically voice acting, and that 'DM me' thing is tempting, but I have no experience and I'm not sure how good my mic is...
On a different note, We all appreciate what y'all are doing and I think you're doing good!
For the blender crashing issue, try doing it in smaller segments and overlapping frames a bit. like 1-300, 298-600 etc etc, easy to cut together to make fluid animation after and less stress if it crashes when rendering
I'd definitely love to see the legendary solo campaign to kinda compliment the other two. But the soul link coming into play during it could really come into play. Which was kinda similar to the Rylee part of the Lightfall campaign. But I am loving all of this and can't wait to see what comes next. Love the content Toad

since the new supers in final shape are supposed to be a more team-oriented soul link def would be the best to see!!!
I liked the idea of the two player Nuzlock.
But 100% would need to keep in mind the difficulty of whatever content you are playing. Otherwise feel like, especially if its newer content for some, it could be an easy loss without getting any content out of it basically whatsoever.
And a thought I had after the whole "both of you got tractor cannon" was that instead of "first weapon" or whatever. Its instead "first of the same weapon" gets linked. Like two scouts get linked. Or two snipers do. With still dupe clause in effect, to prevent just like 8 snipers and nothing else.
Makes it so there is a better chance have more diversity for weapons basically.
Would take longer overall for collecting weapons though.
Addition: Loved the video and the animation for it. Hope to see more in the future.

The only thing i though could have made beyond light harder would be putting on the 0 light festival of the lost helmet to drop your level but other thsn that it was a great vid

I had no idea how tedious and agonizing the work is, you make it look so easy to learn. While not an animator I do specialize in writing. Hmu if you want an extra set of eyes or a proof reader

personally I think a final shape legendary solo nuzlocke would be better, I think the soul link idea is sick but I feel like the solo legendary has the weight the final shape will need

I don't know if this advice would be useful at all, but to practice hand animation you could do it in the form of shorts. Just post short animations you made either with a story or just the animation on its own. That gives you a less daunting way to practice your skills and get feedback than working it into huge videos

for the final shape nuzlocke....why not a three way soul link? Boost the difficulty a little, the final shape is meant to be the finale for the light and dark saga so why not ramp up the difficulty and watch the chaos?

I think you should look into getting in some form of contact with a UA-camr called PyreRealm Gaming; he's a GTA V guy, and he's done what *I* consider to be pretty impressive stuff in the past with rendering programs.
But I'm ignorant to all of that, so for all I know, you and him might be on the same "level"?
He seems pretty nice and helpful, maybe it's worth something!
