Path or Not - Who Cares, Let’s Find Some “Treasure”!

- In this episode I’m metal detecting something that looks like an old path, discovered during previous trip on my way out. It started nicely with an old 1700’s button and a coin I don’t find very often. It’s from Saarland (a state in Germany).
I then “merged” the whole area with the “path” being the main subject. As I went up, the path ended leaving an impression that it was built over a very short distance to extract resources over a limited period of time. Well, the spot around had still some relics left. From a brooch, over buttons to a 1600’s coin. A nice variety of finds.
The (1793-1794) French revolutionary button surprised me at home, as it’s the only one found over time in this area (so far).
All in all I was very satisfied with the result. I hope you enjoyed this adventure as well.
Thanks for watching!

A button day of finds. I love the bullet with the mysterious, perfectly made round hole in it. These locations are stunning
That beatle goes everywhere! I am always amazed at the tiny bits. Sure, they aren’t worth much, but your ability to locate them is impressive. It reminds me of Nugget Shooter Journals, finding a speck of gold in a vast outdoor area. Talent!
Thank you.

A nice assortment of finds. I like the old buttons
The cartridge is for french rifles, its a tin plated dummy round for practice, it was never fired. The hole was probably added later to mark it even more clearly.

A lot of things near the surface. Do airplanes spill those cartridges when they fire them?
I have heard back then they would put gun powder in their wound and light it to sterilize it. Crazy huh?
