I did my fist solo cross country nav to Popham. The offset final is unnerving for your first time. I think the trick is to aim a little beyond the 26 to give yourself time to turn before having to round out.
Good video. It's been years since I've landed on a grass strip and that looked like a nice one. What kind of camera did you use and how did you attach it? It added an interesting riding on the wing camera perspective
Thanks, on Piper I mount my GoPro Hero 3 Silver it on the door stopper as on this picture. ic.pics.livejournal.com/westernstorm/23059895/190819/190819_900.jpg
love this airfield. ORBX do a very accurate version of this for FSX
Home of the spitfire
Fantastic Landing!!! Very good airmanship and excellent skillset.
You obviously had a great instructor!

omg this will be so good in 2020 gonna go check it out today. Get it on xbox pass on PC for a quid. Going to rebuild it in the SDK dev kit.
Great video. The 26 landing is definately not one for those who like to set themselves up on a 10 mile final!!
Shout-out to anybody here because they bought Popham in ORBX
Nice!
I've done that on my flight sim X many times its a bitch landing
Tricky my ass !!!
you left the threshold half a mile behind that was a very long landing lucky not to have gone through the hedge at the end
