My mother and her dopey friends were playing with my father's photographic flood lights (mid-fifties stuff) back in the '60s and after using them to film some bs they put them down on the rug in the living room and burned a couple of giant spots in the carpet. My father left them there to remind my mother what an idiot she was. I called the carpet company and had it fixed the next day. I told my mother the guy was fixing the TV and not to go in there because of the cathode rays. My father was astonished by the incredible work. Ha! We're smarter than you, Dad.
