I just bought 1 lb loaf of English muffin bread from a clearance rack for $1.29. Normally $5!!! Holy cow bread is expensive. Its awesome toasted and for sandwiches. Yours looks great! I don’t understand why its expensive. There is nothing special in it. Thanks for sharing!! 💕
Hi Friend, I baked myself some English Muffin Bread. But I didn’t have enough yeast. I thought wait why can’t I use my sourdough starter for leavening. I found a recipe that was Sourdough English Muffin Bread. Worked out perfectly. I did scantly sprinkle cornmeal on top. It’s cooling now. It was mix, let rise 12-24 hours (overnight). Add the salt, baking soda, and honey and bake. Thank you for all you do. Thanks for listening 🍞🤗🤓
I have never heard of English muffin bread. But I don’t get English muffins in the store anymore because they are too expensive. I am going to make this Renea . Thank you for sharing.
My kitchen aid mixer came with a recipe book and there was a recipe in it for English muffin bread. I’ve. Been making this since 1990. Thanks for sharing , because you can save so much money making this! If you’re a new baker , please try this! Enjoy ! Thanks Renea for the wonderful video. I bet your house smells delicious!
Hey Renee!! This was a special video to me because my mom always loved English muffin bread and it was not always available at the store. We would get so excited when it was in stock in fresh bread section. Good memories.... thinking of my mom. ❤
I bet that would be good topped with apple butter and cottage cheese! We usually use potato bread because of the flavor and sturdiness. But im tryin this!! Thank you! 😊
You are fantastic and so is the bread!! I have become a better cook and baker because of you. Thank you for sharing your love and knowledge of cooking with all of us. Have a beautifully blessed week.
Hi Renea and John! You’re such a beautiful soul wanting to share your knowledge with others. I do appreciate everything you do. Have a very blessed weekend!

Renea, I like English muffins but never heard of English muffin bread. It looked very nice and I would have liked to have joined you and Mr. Wayna is sampling....
I have to try this, grandson and I love english muffins and where I live you get 6 for $3.99 ... I have never made bread.. before.. Love your videos and that you don't cut out when u make mistakes, Renee..
Thank you for your question. It was going to be my question too. Lovely. ❤ I’m milling my own flour for this today. Never done that before either. I brave today or just stupid lol
H ello, new subscriber here from NW Montana. Soo glad I found you. What??? English muffin bread??? Oh I'm making this. I wish I didn't feel like crap today. The crud is going around. But now I get to binge watch you all day 😁 Where did you get that Bertha mixer? I love it. I've gone through 2 kitchen aids making bread 🤣. Luckily my amazing husband has been able to fix them. Right now I'm using a kitchen aid my amazing sister in law GAVE me.
Hiya Renae, great video. BTW, I got a steal on a ton of turnip greens today with Meijer flash foods. Guess what I'm doing now? Cleaning greens to pressure can with salt pork!
Hi Renea. I've just made up a single batch of this. It's proving as i type lol. Would you mind me asking that you put grams and millilitres in your description box for bread recipes for your UK viewers? I try my best to convert from US but sometimes it doesn't quite work lol. You've the Best channel ever! Love to you all 💖 xx
@@LittleVillageHomestead no problem Renea! Oh my,, the single loaf i made was absolutely delicious so my conversions worked lol. Thank you so much for yet again another hit with my family 💖 xx
I would just like to make one loaf. Do you have a recipe for just one loaf? I'm not a baker, but I would like to give this a try for my husband. Thank you.
Great video thanks for sharing. I would love to try this but the recipe is too large for average family. I would have no clue on how to convert it to a single or double loaf.
I can’t wait to try this!! Since there isn’t any parchment paper at the ends of the pans, do you have to grease the pans there? Also, what type of flour are you using? All purpose flour? Bread flour? Self rising flour? Thank you for sharing this recipe!! ❤❤❤ blessings to your family!!
@LittleVillageHomestead I have 3 four cup, an 8 cup and a 12 cup. I'm spoiled and won't make bread, cookies or anything really without them. I'm too lazy & can't keep count! 😊
This looks delish and you said the bubbles in it are smaller than english muffins? Thats would be perfect for me. I love the taste of english muffins but don't really care for the texture of them.
Just need clarification....In the video, you put in 11 cups of flour and divided it out into 4 loafs (then you made a second batch off camera...which equals the 8 loafs) but the written recipe (reduced amounts) is for 2 loafs, correct?

She lays on her throne in the living room. Lol
I would just like to make one loaf. Do you have a recipe for just one loaf? I'm not a baker, but I would like to give this a try for my husband. Thank you.
Just take the recipe she provided in the description box and divide the amounts by 4. There's your recipe for one loaf.
Looks yummy!
Nice recipe
Booooyyyyy! John sure is lucky to get to eat the English Muffin Bread!!! Alright!!!
Great video thanks for sharing. I would love to try this but the recipe is too large for average family. I would have no clue on how to convert it to a single or double loaf.
The recipe she gave in the description box is for 4 loaves. Just take the measurements and cut them in half. Easy peasy! You'll have 2 loaves!
I spray the entire inside of the pan plus add parchment paper. It is just easier to get the breads out.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Thank you for your reply!! I love your channel!! Does it matter what type of flour is used?
Can you break down the recipe for 1 loaf? Ty
English Muffin is my all time favorite bread! Renea, don't you have an 8 or 10 cup measuring cup?
No I have been thinking about getting a 2 cup one. Lol I am an amazon junkie.... :)
@LittleVillageHomestead I have 3 four cup, an 8 cup and a 12 cup. I'm spoiled and won't make bread, cookies or anything really without them. I'm too lazy & can't keep count! 😊
Yummy
Renee what kind of flour do you use to make Amish bread?
With just Hubby and me, can I divide the recipe in half because I don't have a mixer the size of the one like your's?
Yes you can.
What kind of yeast do you use?
This looks delish and you said the bubbles in it are smaller than english muffins? Thats would be perfect for me. I love the taste of english muffins but don't really care for the texture of them.
What kind of yeast?
Hiii. Does English muffin freeze well short term?
Absolutely.
What temp was the oven on
Where did you get that big mixer? Is it a commercial brand?
It is a vevor and yes it is commercial it is from Home Depot.
Can you half that recipe? My mixer is not that big.
What temp is the oven
350°

No, the written recipe is for 4 loaves and you can halve that recipe if you want.
@@LittleVillageHomestead Thank you...glad I asked 😉
Thank you Renea.Looks like another winner.
What temperature for the oven
Sorry I see how hot the oven is now, I just need to open my eyes lol
Looks like casting material 👣for Orthotics, or Something you'd use in a sculpture class for bronze pouring! LOL Just joking. Give us this day.... :)
Our daily bread.... :)
