I just bought the accuracy.1 turf version and it looks like its thenequivalent of the .2 on regular boots. @jay and @unisport could you look into that? Because this feels misleading to buy a .1 but get .2 material
I’m pumped. I was looking to spend $75 max on new boots, but a small sports shop was looking to offload their last couple pairs. They were selling the accuracy .1’s for JUST $100. Outside of the original budget, but what a deal! Had to jump on it.
Please can you do reviews on Turf models too? In the UK we have so many leagues and indoor venues that a lot of people wear TF boots and it's good to know where corners have been cut and sole plates improved, thanks
My granddaughter is a 09 NL goalkeeper. She loves the predator cleats. She has the .1 for games and the .3 for practice. She also loves the predator gl pro hybrid goalkeeper gloves. Adidas was really smart and created a pair of cleats and goalkeeper gloves that match. She only wears predator cleats and gloves, and I dont see that changing anytime soon.
@zaul_real. Julia doesn't like the .3's. She has an older pair of .1 she is still wearing for practice. She does occasionally wear the .3 but once you have the .1 or better it is hard to wear anything else. I think she would like them more if she had never had .1.
I just bought these Adidas Predator Accuracy.3 and tbh there pretty good and really boosted my performance. It increases your pace and makes your toes feel light asf and curve kicks are also more accurate and good overall im very satisfied
Bought the Accuracy.3 for my first pair of football cleats and I love it! Great cleats for the price! I do have one question though? Anyone knows if the Accuracy.3 insoles can be removed? Thanks for the review JayMike!
I tried on a pair of the FG .1s in a shop and they felt nice and wide. But out of my budget (and I wanted an MG boot). Bought the MG .2 online and they feel quite a lot tighter. I also bought the MG .3s and they felt significantly lower quality - much less stretchy and very tight. I don't think I believe in the "buy a size up" mentality - a load of spare material at the front of the boot is absolutely rubbish.
Jay my man. I’m looking for new boots after rocking Copa 20.1s for a while now. I love the look the Pures and they are obviously a great boot. However, the reviews from you and Josh say how thin the leather is, more speed boot like which is great if that’s your thing. But I like the thick plushness of leather that gives you some padding and protection. As the Accuracy is hybrid touch, will I get more cushion from them or the Pures? Thanks mate!
Hello Unisport! Can you guys make a video about how the various type of outsole works on different type of pitch, please? (TURF on Indoor, Turf, Artificial Grass, and Firm Ground.) So, we could learn is it safe, okay or dangerous to play with it, thank's guys!
General rule: FG on natural grass, AG or HG on artificial grass, TF on carpet-like turf, and SG only on very well-watered natural grass (e.g. impeccable pitch maintenance, or after/during good amount of rain). However, lots of companies are labeling their boots "FG/AG" or some variation of that these days, when it's not really the case. There are lots of factors that make an AG soleplate suitable for AG, such as thickness of the soleplate for durability reasons, shorter and often times more studs to reduce traction and stud pressure, but one of the sure fire ways to get a boot that can be relatively safe on both natural and artificial grass is to go for boots with 100% conical studs. These pivot much better in artificial grass than bladed studs do, and go a long way in preventing injuries due to your foot being too planted due to the excessive traction of bladed studs on artificial pitches. You can use TF boots on most artificial grass pitches, but they definitely have more slip on newer generation pitches, which are essentially artificial grass pitches that are softer, and have more give. But they will be perfect for the classic turf pitch that for all intents and purposes, is a green carpet. AG boots will not be good for these surfaces, but TF will.
@@rousseau327 Hey, this provides a nice insight into the differences. However, I have an extra question about the durability. With my current club I am training on (short, old and stamped) artificial field while playing my matches mostly on natural grass. I've had problems that the outsole comes a bit loose from the upper, where the artificial grass granules get in between deep and worsens the problems until it is unusable. I had this with my Predator 20.3 MG at the sides and Copa Sense.3 MG at the nose in the last years. Do you know how I can try to estimate the durability of the outsole for this kind of problems? The earlier mentioned models both featured a more middle high straight sole line while for example the Puma future Z 2.4 FG/AG feature a very curvy low line. In high end models there are more dedicated artificial grass boots instead of dual type, where for the Predator Acc.1 also the sole line is a bit higher (next to more conical studs etc.), but e.g. for the Nike Tiempos there is no difference. So do you have more tricks to determine his durability for .2/.3 boots or would you advise to go for a second pair of turf shoes but then the .3/.4 since I have not so much budget. Thanks in advance!
@@CaptainEdwinos It's always safer to go with a second pair of TF boots if you can afford it, but MG boots is a good middle ground too. One thing you can try regarding sole separation is adding a bit of shoe goo or some other pliable footwear adhesive to the seam between your outsole and upper. It'll help hold it in place and prevent the AG granules from getting in. However, this is really just a temporary solution. The shoe goo will still wear out. You kind of just have to accept that AG wears out any boot quicker than FG would.
Careful if you order the tf version of the boot. They are extremely (!) tight. I have rather slim feet but even with shoes "one size bigger" than your normal size these will squeeze your feet so bad there is so blood circulation left.
Hi, I'm here to ask a question. Is it fine to store your football boots (after wearing them quite a few times) with silica gel, one for each shoe and wrapped them with newspaper for a few months?(stored in box) Is it okay or you guys have other tips to make sure the shoes does not deteriorate? I already googled but the solution is quite unclear. Thank you :)
The 1/3 is just a design and marketing thing. it looks better to not have so many unshaded squares on the side, so they cut it down to 3. but essential its just the shaded one that matters.
I got the Nike Tiempo legend 9 as my first boots, this my second time (first time I didn’t care for soccer/football) so I don’t really know what to look for. Is this a good enough choice for beginners?
I play socially and in some amateur league games on artificial grass. I'm planning to get the .3 (since .2 TFs are unavailable in my country) and my footsize is 8.5. unfortunately Adidas doesn't have half sizes in my country either. Should i go a size up or a size down? I currently wear the X 18.3 UK size 9 since i have wide feet and they seem to fit perfect
Absolutely and when you do, it makes sense - maybe the devs thought it was nice that people had to think a bit, but from a pure visual point of view it would just give better instant clarity by rating out of five - in my book.
I wonder if the rating system is about the percentage of the boot, or percentage of the side of the boot, that is covered by the grip things? 4/5 = 80%, 2/4 = 50%, 1/3 = 33%?? Just a thought, but seems ridiculous and not great for comparison!
