Mannnn I love this channel. Its not an over hyped channel, but it feels like a celebration of the life of The Dragon along with the nostalgia of when we were kids. All these guys you interview i remember buying Martial Art magazines, kung fu documentaries seeing guys like bei talking about the hong kong movie industry. It all brings me back to the 80s when we only had 4 broadcasting channels on UK TVs, so information was thin with only documentaries and magazines to tell us what was going on in the world of kung fu cinema.

Enter the Dragon is such an amazing film! The battle in the basement is the best scene to watch over and over and /or train from!!! The entire film is so spectacular!!!!! My favorite scene is the battle in the basement! Such amazing demonstration of expertise with the nunchaku!!!

Во время съёмок ,, выход дракона,, было снято 5 часов закадровый съёмки. Там были не запланированные бои. Брюс Ли часто вызывали на бой шустрые каскадёры. Они топтали ногой и Брюс Ли их окучевал потом Брюс Ли просил стереть эти записи ( он там был очень жесток.). Эти записи нельзя опубликовать пока не умерли все участники , Чтобы не обидеть чувства пострадавших. Есть шанс , что эти закадровые записи всплывут.

Great Interview with Bey Logan and I must agree with Bey's comments about Bruce, be yourself, as Bruce said himself - "Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it. We are all Fan's and I myself have been inspired by this one of a kind man since I was a kid and still do to this day, have taken his philosophies into my Family & Working life but never tried to copy him ( who could ) but to be myself in my own life, I'm mesmerized by the new information that keeps coming out about Bruce and after reading the recent book, Wrath of the Dragon, I found myself questioning the man himself, not the fighter, actor, director, choreographer, Philosopher etc. but the man himself? it left me with questions, was he an angry man with a one way street attitude, do as I say, not as I do, the drugs, allegedly affairs, fights and falling outs etc, whilst I will always admire the mystery, still watch his movies and watch vlogs such as yourself and Stripey Rambles ( Great channel ) I'm not sure if I would have liked his attitude towards his so called friends and family and the way he treated them, If he was teaching us his philosophy ( We need emotional content, not anger etc ) did he follow this code of conduct himself, I'm not so sure? will be interesting what new stories keep rolling out about the Legend..👍

You didn’t know Bruce. You read an account of him. I’ve heard from Bruce’s own friends that he was actually very caring and more than once let people train who couldn’t pay. Just liked he payed for a meal when Inosanto couldn’t afford it at one time when they went out eating together. He also bought a set of dumbbells for Inosanto at one point because he couldn’t afford them.
Yeh Bruce had flaws but everyone does. But people seem fixated on his.
I’ve seen a few people interpret Bruce’s character like you have.
He had a goal, he picked things up easily, he wanted to you get the information the first time and HATED teaching. He didn’t like teaching. Bruce was on his own martial arts journey.
Whilst I do agree you shouldn’t try to be like somebody else, JKD is not “make it whatever you want” it works because of its footwork, its alignment and structure, body mechanics.
All humans being function the same way biomechanically with perhaps some variation here and there. So some people need slight adjustments, however, doing whatever you want and calling it JKD is not right.
Bruce’s martial art has specific ideas, body mechanics etc that make it as effective as it is.
Does mean you’ll be as good as him? Probably not because he put much more time and reps in and trained himself to a level few people ever do. But you should see huge improvement in speed, power, mobility, and ability to intercep/read the other persons intent.

It was nice to listen to the behind the scene stories on the sets of ETD. The series of shots depicting the fight between Lee and the extra was nostalgic...it is a treasure today. Nice capture by Ahna Capri. It gives a good idea what was going on.... the other cast / crew sitting over the wall and watching the fight in rapt attention, the set equiptment, costumes lying around.... quite a bit of real action going on there. 👏👏

If Bruce had survived, the success of ETD would have generated enormous interest & pressure to make a sequel, perhaps like Bond/ 007 by direct use of the lead character or some similar persona. Perhaps Game was destined to be unfinished whether he survived or not.

You've said what I've always assumed about Game of Death. As soon as ETD released, Bruce Lee would've been swept up in back to back sequels as a franchise.
I don't think he would've had time, resources nor incentive to return to Game of Death.
And to be honest it's premise didn't really seem all that great. But at least we got a 33 - 39 minute long fight scene in the pagoda.

It's a very interesting footage. From these photos it's obvious that Bruce was constantly attacking, and his challanger was mainly defending himself. Thanks for this episode !
Martial arts film Studios it certainly looks that way. From what I read and heard the fight lasted only a few seconds Bruce was too overwhelming for the extra who kept challenging him and mocking him so he had to teach him a lesson. Would the behind the scene footage of ETD being hidden in Warner Brother's warehouse? I saw a documentary which Henry Wong was interviewed and said somebody asked him to look for the lost footage, but he rejected because he was too old.

I love this series, Bay is always interesting. Though to me my take on the "fight" is more of a sparring match with harder contact by the photos. One reason if it were an all out fight, I don't think Ana Capri would be sitting there casually sort of smiling. I think out of fear she would have gotten out of the way as a natural reaction to violence. Just my take on it.

If Bruce Lee lived with the smartphones age, many of his street fights would have filmed.

Thank you very much Charles! I already liked part 1 and 2 of this interview. @ Bey, if you check out the comments, I have a question, it's about Matt Polly's book BL A Life. There are some things which I really like to know:
Matt states that Grace Ho's father was Ho Kom-tong. I think we can say that's a fact. But according to Matt, Komtong and Robet Hotung were [full] brothers, while other sources I could find say they were "maternal half-brothers", means same mother but different father.
In the notes in the end of his book, Matt states basically there would exist some chinese gossip that Komtong wasnt Charles Bosman's son, but that his wife Sze Tai had an affair with a chinese guy while Charles was out of town, and this dude knocked her up.
But on Bruce's 80th birthday, the chinese-canadian Feng Bing-yao posted a huge article in chinese. I used an english translator and dont know how accurate it is. But according to Feng Bingyao, it's actually Matt's "gossip" to claim Ho Komtong was the biological son of Charles Bosman, when it fact Bosman had two sons, Fook and Robert Tung (known as "Robet Hotung"), but Komtong wasnt his son.
As far as I know (I can be wrong!), Matt never replied to Bingyao. This thing is even mentioned on Matt's wiki article.
Do you know what's the truth, Bey? Do you (or someone you know) have access to Charles Bosman's family tree in Hong Kong? To me as German it's a very interesting subject, since Matt after all these years says Bruce's german part wasnt 1/4 what was thought for such a long time.
Matt wrote me a couple years ago Bosman was actually from Germany, or his family, but they moved to Holland at some point. Of course this can be.
Like you I respect Matt's work very much! I still say from A to Z this bio is like untouchable. But of course nobody is 100% right about everything. For example Matt never mentioned Joey Orbillo or Hayward Nishioka in the bio if I remember correctly. And that Bruce sparred the nr. 5 judoko in the world in 1965 (Nishioka) and a top 20 heavyweight contender in boxing (Orbillo) and made them look like beginners is something what many Bruce fans like to know.
Long story short:
A) Is Matt Polly right to say Ho Kom-tong was the biological son of Charles Bosman?
B) Is Feng Bing-yao right to say no, that only Robert Hotung was Bosman's son, and Hotung and Komtong were only maternal half brothers but not full brothers?
If A is correct, then Bruce's roots were indeed dutch-jewish, like Matt says. If B is correct, then this is a death end, and we only know his maternal grandmother was full english as a fact.
What is the truth...?

I feel that if Bruce would have lived he would have appeared on the American talk shows and many people would have seen him as cocky a braggart ect because people were even more black and white back then. But instead people thought he was like the characters he played. Somebody even told me he was a 17 year old monk who just came out of the temple. So I think most people would have misunderstood him like many did before.

Well what a way to end a great interview. Bey was honestly answering many questions so many of us have wondered about for years. It definitely did not disappoint. And to be invited over to Hong Kong as well. It would be great if Bey was able to come on at least once a year as a semi regular guest as I know he has so much to offer. Bruce Lee passing... tough call with the tainted stuff... why would Bruce Lee even try taking it again if as I recall it happened in May 1973 he said he felt close to death at that time when he partially collapsed? Sounds like a very odd thing to do if that created such a close call...Thanks Charles for your insights.....

3 reasons why I question if that was a real fight. First Bruce would have taken him out with just a few moves and 2 Anna could hear what’s going on so she would have known it’s a fight and she would have had a serious look on her face. And 3rd the extras would not be been watching so casually.

Great Interview with Bey, Charles. You should try to get In touch with UK actress Julie Andrews (Mary Poppins). In a Interview, she happened to say that Bruce used to come round Her house and have Dinner with Her and Her husband. He would talk about the films he was doing, and things He had planned to do. He also demonstrated how a Ballet Dancer could get more strength In the legs. She said He sat on a chair, crossed His legs, then leaped up about 4 foot into the air. And landed at least two too three feet from the chair. She also said she would Film and photograph Him showing all sorts of moves. Keep 'Em Coming.

It is an original painting of Bruce Lee Dunn for Sifu Alex Richter’s school and it’s Bruce in casual wear with a yellow top yellow game of death, sneakers, black sweats, and a hoodie really cool painting. I enjoyed these two episodes with Bey Logan. He is very interesting and I noticed you seemed to listen rather than talk and you guided the interview excellently.
I never met Bey but I remember him from the Kung Fu Monthly magazine days when he first started writing about Bruce Lee. He stuck with it and look where he is now.
It was interesting that you both talked about following Bruce Lee instead of finding a cure for cancer because hundreds of thousands, in fact, millions of people, improved their health and fitness, opened dogo's and gyms, taught others to survive on the street, improve their nutrition, focus on their goals, and not become obese and burden the medical facilities.
There's someone out there who is a doctor, a heart surgeon, an oncologist, who was influenced by Bruce Lee to better their lives.

The poem at the start of The Tao of jeet kune do.
My favourite poem since 1975 when I first bought the book. I first thought the poem was by Bruce but over the years I guessed it was by someone else. When the www came along I searched for the author and was surprised to see it was a samurai warrior! A warrior, a man capable of great violence wrote this calm, serene, wise poem.
September 20th...The exact date two months ahead of the day that he died....Very weird coincidence. 😯Now, what would be more interesting is on what day he jotted that down on his calendar? 🤔

i was a bodybuilder , when i saw fist of fury
i started wing chun and stopped the weights.
Bruce Lee and his movies have been a large
part of my life and thanks to you his legacy is alive and well.
