Not all kitsune served the goddess. Some were naughty and mischievous! Nogitsune, or Yako.

    They're so beautiful and mysterious.
I watched a movie that was split into seven different stories, one of them being about the Kitsune. It was said that if the sun was still shining when it starts to rain, it means a feast/wedding was taking place among the Kitsune, and it was best to stay indoors with the doors and windows closed. If you went out during that time, they would know, and be so angry that you would need to ask their forgiveness ; if they refused, you would have to atone by taking your own life via seppuku.

@@MythicalArcana It's called Dreams (1990) directed by Akira Kurosawa. I also made a mistake; it's split into 8 parts. The first chapter/story is entitled "Sunshine Through The Rain", and is the one about the Kitsune wedding.

Some kitsune are so broken that you could make a 200 episode anime about them just because of how overpowered they are😅

What about the Story with Wukong and Kitsune? Also can you please include Wukong in one of your Videos. Thanks for such great Videos!!

I don't think there's a story about wu kong and kitsune, traditionally anyways, since they are from different cultures. I'll definitely do Wu kong in the future, when I move on to chinese mythology.

You’re confusing the Japanese fox spirit with the Chinese fox demon.
In China they are called Yaogaui, and while most are evil spirits, some are neutral and can even be good.
However they are not like the Yokai of Japan.

In fact, the nine-tailed fox originated in Chinese mythology and later influenced other Asian countries such as Japan and South Korea
