He went to Ukraine to study dentistry but didn't do well and switched to bel canto classic music. It took him about 10 years to gain great success he now enjoys. His fans call him Shen Shen. Zhou Shen started early with singing, joined the school choir and won the first place repeatedly in choir competitions. But when he hit puberty his voice didn't significantly change. Since he still sounded like a girl in middle school he was ridiculed by his classmates and they were calling him names. Because of the discrimination he experienced, he became more and more silent. He didn't sing on stage for three years in junior high school. Fortunately he regained confidence and was able to make his uniqueness his strength. We love the Filipino content that we put out but we're a variety channel and creating content of only the Philippines is not big enough for us. The entire world is our oyster and one day I hope to be influential enough for multiple regions to use our channel as a window into different countries and cultures. We love the Filipino content that we put out but we're a variety channel and creating content of only the Philippines is not big enough for us. The entire world is our oyster and one day I hope to be influential enough for multiple regions to use our channel as a window into different countries and cultures. Imagine when we do release a video about Filipino singers we're able to give a global exposure to the artist rather than making a Filipino video for only Filipino people.
