This is really cool of you. Definitely will have to come back to this channel often enough and Will be confident the translations and insights will be pretty accurate.
Not sure if you saw it, but two of the devs did like a 60+ minute interview with Cohh and some other guys. That was very informative too - would be interesting in getting your take on it. :)
I love that Gothic is credited as an inspiration for the style of worldbuilding, that is a very good sign since Gothic has set the blueprint that not many followed, yet if this is successful (along with Gothic Remake), it might spark a new wave of immersive rpg's with handcrafted worlds rather than huge empty maps that most AAA action rpgs have.
First off I just want to say as always...i LOVE this channel. This has become one of my favorite channels. I also want to say GREAT video. Im VERY excited for Exodus but now im even more excited for this game. Please keep the content coming and please keep up the amazing work!
Looking forward to more news about this game. Thank you for taking the time to find information provided by the devs. It does more for my interest in the franchise than wild speculation or hype train parrotting.
I really recommend the first 30mins of the Dropped Frames podcast where they get interviewed by itmeJP, CohhCarnage and Zeke_III, because the answers there has alieviated a lot of my fears that I had previously. The Creative Director Matteus said that you can do most of the content on your first run, but you will lose on some content because some paths close up (very similar to Witcher 3 when you don't go to the Elder for example). As for the rest...thanks for the extra insights with this new video! Can't wait to hear more about the lore personally since it's quite fascinating.
The Tyranny OST from the previous video was a trigger. There are many things that connect the Obsidian's Tyranny, VTM: Bloodlines and the world of D&D's Dark Sun, some of them are these: Dawnwalker will be a fast-paced game, where decisions carry a lot of weight and players have an incredible amount of freedom to choose between them (like with pen and paper rpg-s). This will keep you fully interested throughout, and provide plenty of opportunity for many exciting and new playthroughs and endgames. I'm sure that in addition to the most human attitude possible and the "evil run" to seize power, there will be lots of different ways on the scale to play the vampire factions against each other (like in VTM). All this in a world where the basic premise is that "it's hard to get out of this well" - and probably you really can't, because you lose something anyway (Dark Sun). I'm also sure that the skill trees will be so perfectly well-made and balanced, that the hardcore gamers will be head over heels about that core part of the game, too. I really missed such bold, no-bargaining crpg-s from the palette, made by developers who are themselves gamers, too - for their own and other players' enjoyment. I genuinely look forward to your videos, it's always a pleasure to listen to someone talk with so much enthusiasm and competence about what they love. As for someone who'd play to preserve (as in Dark Sun and Tyranny), I know clearly that this gem needs brave hearts, possibly braver than mine. However, when future games would include companions...😉
that time mechanic, disco elysium is already like that, its so surprising lots of people say they love that game yet still worried about time passed through doing quests mechanics
The way you describe the way quests will work reminds me of zelda BOTW and TOTK ! Like you could fight ganon straight away buts its better to build up your allies. This freedom excites me !!
I hope they are able to pull off the fixed protagonist also I wonder if werewolves are a part of this setting I would love to see them in this setting if not in this game then maybe later down the line.
Rebel Wolves are now the last hope of not just Eastern Europe, but the entirety of the west more broadly, Christian space if you will. I hope they don't let us down, with this exciting new game or the inevitable sequel.
This sounds amazing... after years of disappointment with gaming I cannot bring myself to be excited, but I am cautiously optimistic which is something I havent been in a long time
The way I understand it, it is not consistent day and night cycle? day and night only triggered after certain quests and exploration don't progress time. Then, day and night is not a gameplay feature but only a narrative. Hmm.. Need to see gameplay for this.
I feel it's going to pretty much play like The Witcher 3, which really isn't an issue for me because it was an awesome game Instead of your high tier witcher monsters, you'll have high tier "undead" like that fat flying thing. Standard enemies at night I'd imagine are probably vampires and during the day it'll be humans unless venturing out of the city So yeah, Witcher 3 but you're a vampire with powers, I'm sold That's probably also what they mean by "he won't be too OP", you'll probably have a similar system to the witcher where different enemies require different approaches to succeed, vampire powers as opposed to witcher signs and potions Cannot wait
@spellandshield I know I was being cheeky. Just that whole "not a full vampire but with the powers" etc. A cool idea is a cool idea. I'm pumped for this. I hope the story and characters are well written, and world is as sumptuous and gothic as it looks, and the gameplay loop is fun af. Witcher 3 is a great pedigree, so best of luck to the team! ✊🏼
There will be no gambling mini-game in Blood of Dawnwalker? That's a real downer, because the dice games were my favourite activity in all of The Witcher 1 and 2 (better even than Gwent). I recently played Alaloth: Champions of the Four Kingdoms and found its dice game fun to play as well, on top of allowing to gain some extra cash.
TBH, I don't think it will make big waves in gaming world. Gut is telling me it will be AA size and polish game. Something like KCD1. Previously gut was telling me to temper my expectations about CP2077 and it launched in terrible state. So I'm not getting too hyped up about it.
@spellandshield ok, but the trailer gives the opposite impression, given how much "magic" the vampires are throwing in there: vampiric "teleport", people exploding, limbs disappearing, etc. The dampir dude is literally rappelling the tower with his bare fist.
Wait and see more updates blood of dawn walker video game 🧛♂️🧛♀️. Everyone have great day and next day and week and weekend and next week and full happiness 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.
I lost all the hype when the developers said about " we don't want him to be too overpowered" like vampire should be grounded realistic and watered down, also having stealth missions is getting old in gaming it doesn't make sense on a vampire game, also witcher 3 didn't have a very dynamic versatile combat system, it was very repetitive so i expect the same for this game.
@ Main character isn't a vampire tho. Anyway, being overpowered isn't much fun for me. I like to struggle, I like a challenge. I'm sure as character gains experience (and becomes less human) you will get progressively stronger and with smart character building and items maybe even overpowered. Again, with each news of the game I get more excited 🤩
Since when does not being overpowered equate to being grounded, realistic, and watered down. You literally jumped to that conclusion all on your own. You're making up reasons to dislike the game. If you're already finding reasons to complain, then don't even bother to follow news about the game.
This is the channel i go to for Exodus and Dawnwalker updates. Keep it up 👍
Hey mate. I'm Polish and open to translating any further content they release, like interviews etc.
Gotta love having people come together to help further our collective understanding 😁

After today's revelations, this game has shot up considerably higher in my must play list
Thanks for covering
Dude you became my first Dawnealker news channel!
Nice. You are my go-to channel for Dawnwalker, keep it up!
And Exodus. Have to give a hat tip to the algorithm for suggesting this channel months ago

Really, I missed that. Is it on his channel?
@ it is on one of the other guys channels. It is a podcast they do.
I think the streamers name is ItsJP or something like that!
I wish to see the interview but i can't find it. If someone is sucessful please post the link.

Thank you Chosen of the Polish Tongue!
So excited for this. Glad you're covering it.
Appreciate the insights!
Thanks for the update
Your now my go to channel for this game. i cant wait to watch you cover more of it as more gets released. loving your vids.
The more I hear about that game, the more intrigued I get. This might be smth special.

Gothic is basically the grand daddy of central/eastern euro RPG, and it somehow shares some inspirations with the eastern Souls series.
First off I just want to say as always...i LOVE this channel. This has become one of my favorite channels. I also want to say GREAT video. Im VERY excited for Exodus but now im even more excited for this game. Please keep the content coming and please keep up the amazing work!

En bedankt voor de hulp met je prachtige taal!
Great video! i'll never get tired of witcher 3 Skellige music, cant wait for this game
Sounds very Witcher-esque - a syncretic Pan-Eastern European lore and world-building.
This sounds super exciting.

Excited for a new rich rpg story! 🎉😊
Time management should be incorporated into more games, IMO. Forcing you to make a choice makes the game more exciting.
I think it should depend on the game's story if it's a high stakes end of the world story then yes there should be a time limit.
that time mechanic, disco elysium is already like that, its so surprising lots of people say they love that game yet still worried about time passed through doing quests mechanics
The more I hear about this game, the more excited I get. I know which skill tree I’m dumping all my points into🧛🏻♂️

Thank you for the video. This game looks interesting.
Character info came out on Brencis. You were right about him being from roman times
Yeah, I have been following all the info.
I hope they are able to pull off the fixed protagonist also I wonder if werewolves are a part of this setting I would love to see them in this setting if not in this game then maybe later down the line.
Fixed protagonist? Wtf is that supposed to mean? There are dozens of games with "fixed" protagonists
What is wrong with the protagonist ?
I want different protagonist for sequel. I want to play as Werewolf.
Devs had an interview yesterday and talked about the time limit concept and some other things
On Cohcarnage's channel I hear? I need to check that out.
@spellandshield Yea, u mentioned almost everything in the video but there are some other details as well

So far so good, i like what I'm hearing and i hope they nail the soundtrack for it, looks like cdpr will be shitting the bed right now.
Everything mentioned in this video was already explained in English on Rebel Wolves' Twitch stream when the trailer was released.
Not everything. They did not talk about the evil options or what the skill tree would be like or the exact reasons for the time mechanic.
Well,Im Polish,gladly help with translation 😉
This sounds amazing... after years of disappointment with gaming I cannot bring myself to be excited, but I am cautiously optimistic which is something I havent been in a long time
Same here, i hope they don't fall in the "modern audience" pit as well..
The way I understand it, it is not consistent day and night cycle? day and night only triggered after certain quests and exploration don't progress time. Then, day and night is not a gameplay feature but only a narrative. Hmm.. Need to see gameplay for this.
Wait so.....are you saying that I can essentially do a Dark Urge playthrough with Coen?
Yes.
is it only a vampire game or i can be werewolf as well?
Let's hope to play as Werewolf in sequel
I feel it's going to pretty much play like The Witcher 3, which really isn't an issue for me because it was an awesome game

I'm calling it: Brencis and Coen are blood-related.
Hope they have now a better combat than they previously had with the witcher series.
I lowkey watch your vids to see if you're going to say 'Dragon Age... THE Veilguard'
So does that mean that coen is gonna be the protagonist for the entire saga? Or just for the first game?
That's the question...we don't know yet.
Am confused did you say the character doesn’t feed in vampire or cannot? Why are we playing as a vampire if we cannot bite people in that form?
You can feed; if you do not feed you might attack your friends and family. You NEED to feed.
@ aah I see I wasn’t sure if I miss heard or not.
Me going full vampire mode to impress my in-game waifu...
So... someone just recently watched Blade again and Daywalker became Dawnwalker 😂👍🏼
It is a bit different because during the day you are just a human.

The game looks great. But the trailer doesn't look "low-fantasy" at all
Not low fantasy, low magic fantasy as opposed to high magic fantasy. The devs have stated that magic will be rare.
