Those bicycles are called "Penny Farthing" bicycles because they were named after the old coins in England Penny & Farthing which were in use up to the mid 1900's..the size of the wheels were like the Penny & the Farthing which were different in sizes to eachother.
Thank you for this explaination, I've seen some Penny Farthing in a museum a few weeks ago, now I know their name, it's also easy to remember, thank you! 😉

Hi. Subscribed to your channel. I like to go thirfting too. Here in Ireland we have mainly small charity shops compared to USA Goodwills. But "treasures" can be found. I like to thrift design, art, art glass and sculpture mainly. So I was very glad that you filmed a bit wall art section there. Love you cat!
Hello! Welcome, thank you for subscribing! 🥳 Yes, here we have very small charity shops too, and as you said, sometimes gems can be find! 🤩 That is the most fun part of thrifting, don't you think? 😋 In my videos I try to film various types of items so that everyone can see something interesting, I'm happy that you've seen something interesting for you! Keep watching, and let me know what you think about my other videos too! Kisses from Italy 😘
I'm jealous. I see many items I'd love to have. Not all thrift stores (Goodwills) have great finds. It depends on where you live. Bigger cities have not items to chose from. My first time here. Subscribed.
Hello Lorraine 😊 welcome to the channel! 🥳🥳🥳 Here in Italy we have few charity shops, and generally they are small, dusty and cluttered 😂 The shops that I showed you in this video sells items that the people want to sell, and the prices are tripled, compared to charity shops. And when I see people shopping at Goodwill I always see many good prices! 😂 But I understand what you say, I guess they are big and full of stuff only in the bigger cities. Well, luckily there is UA-cam so we can shop all day long and all around the world! 😉 I would be happy to hear from you again! Kisses 😘
Hello, just randomly found your video while searching for Home decor stores in Italy. 😅 Love your video. Do you know of any stores in the area that's equivalent to Home goods ? I just moved to Vicenza Italy
Hello Caroline, and welcome to the channel! 😊👋 Vicenza is quite close to where I live (Mestre)! 😉😉😉 If you want to shop for cool home stuff you should definitely visit 'maisons du monde'. You can also have a look at 'Mercatopoli Vicenza est' which is a second hand shop! Hope this was useful, and hope to hear from you again! 😘
@@VintageWeekendsItaly thank you Aurora for the reply! I'm going to be on the lookout for this blouse in the future - the neckline ruffle and sleeve are lovely :) great find 🙋♀️
Hello Shayla, this store was in the city of Padova but I think they closed because of the pandemic situation and they never opened again... But this shop was part of a chain called 'Mercatopoli', if you digit it on Google maps you will find all the locations throughout Italy. I've made other videos while shopping in other Mercatopoli, like the one in Rome that was incredible... 🤩🤩🤩 Another chain is called 'Mercatino Franchising". I hope this was useful, and have a nice trip to Italy! 😎🇮🇹👋
Yes the prices were higher than the ones I find in other shops! But it's always interesting to see the items they have! I love Ginori porcelain, my mother has some pieces, do you think I should start another collection? 😜
mystical. Variety.
