- This is a Met Office UK Weather forecast looking at the warning for wind in Scotland and Northern England, dated 16/02/2023.
Storm Otto has been named by the Danish Meteorolgical Institute, it will also impact the UK on Friday morning. Wind gusts of 80 mph are possible in Scotland and 75 mph gusts may affect northern England. Travel disruption to ferries and flights is expected and driving conditions will be dangerous to high sided vehicles.

Here in the Highlands the noise of the gusts confirms the forecast. Also the lights keep dimming on and off so looks like another fun one.
