In 2019 I had several strokes, ulcerative Colitis and Covid. As I began My journey to recovery I made up my mind towards more independence. It's been a long rough road but now I can take care of my personal needs. I can, wash, shower and dress myself. I can feed myself. For the two years I was at the hospital and nursing home I was on a GI (feeding tube). In physical therapy I learned how to sit up on my own and transfer from the wheelchair to the bed and shower chair. I've adapted and adjusted to my wheelchair and can use it well. I still have spasms and nerve pain in my right hand and feet. But as a disabled Veteran I receive my care at the Brooklyn VA hospital. I'm improving day by day.

I want to Thank the staff and congregation at CCC for helping me at the Women's meeting and the following Sunday. I'm a wheelchair user and it's difficult for me to open doors and to wheel myself around the church. I had a stroke in 2019 and don't have the same strength and dexterity that I had before my strokes. I really appreciate everyone who assisted and made me feel comfortable, like I belonged. For wheelchair users Inclusion is very important.
When is is not time to be! Holy?
Ecclesiastes3:3. There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heaven; a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Your activities should be based on your relationship with God and knowing him. Amen.
