Trading is not a gambling. It requires discipline, knowledge and patience. Its all about managing risk.
that's absolutely misleading. Trading (anything under 1 day timeframe) is 99% Gambling 1% Risk Management. That's why even proper risk management can't guarantee you profits everyday (and overall profitability), in fact with full knowledge discipline and patience you may lose huge chunks of money just because the market doesn't move as per logic based on previous data. Anybody claiming anything else is either ignorant or a fraud. If luck favours you, you can even close your eyes and take a hugely profitable trade 😂

Yes right and tax increase is only in STT on turnover which is 0.05% as of now. If STT increase is 30% in coming budget then it will be 0.065% on turnover. Also it is only for HFT-high frequency trader whose daily turnover or sell value is above 1000 crore in f and o trading 😊😊

F&O needs lots of skill. You can't make them equal. Where was this consern about retailers (losing money), when monthly options were converted to weekly & creating everyday expiries...?
Why create daily expiry and reduce lot size - big traders and institutions don't have the need for smaller lot size. If the government does tax F&O at 30% they are admitting that they are so bad at regulating the market that at this.point so much manipulation is happening that the market has become gambling.

I used to trade in currency. It was good for option sellers. In last few due to illiquidity, my account went to huge losses. In equity fno, I earn 2-4 rupees monthly, government will ruin that also. What is sebi doing except for sucking blood of gullible investors? They and exchanges are sitting on huge corpus of ipf and isf, they should educate, kya aur bole?
If every trader take a pledge to not trade for one month.. we can teach lesson tk government...this message can be circulated through UA-cam and telegram groups if every trader is determined to teach the lesson

People are also speculating on this matter but your view is really appreciable. There should be a PIL in SC regarding Change in nature of business and there should be creation of a platform where all traders can come say in one voice against government inefficiency.
Market will make LC on budget day if any such changes to FNO gets implemented in reality , hope better sense will prevail in the govt.

The pain is real when someone make more than 2cr and 40% of it goes into government pocket as DIRECT tax. Now with remaining 60% you try to fight inflation and make some money then ready to pay these stupid no brainer charges and taxes which eatup another 35-40% of income.
What about tax for FIIs FPIs DIIs???? Will they too get taxed?

I do equity swing trading (3-4 shares max) , last year my return was 110% . these 3 month of this financial year , has been terrible still i was able to make 7-8% of my capital . Now they are targeting stcg and ltcg , now my income has increased now this is pissing me off , i take so much risk what i'm getting in return ?, i am a bjp supporter , but seriously if this way they will increase tax and do this nonsense of gambling income , i and my family will never vote for them because i know options are even more risky . i am learning from you still will enter this space after 4-5 year with enough experience
