    Scratched a brand new matt white tile in my bathroom whilst fitting wall cabinet, really annoyed with myself and eye was always drawn to it, tried this and it worked perfectly.

    Thanks mate just finished my first bathroom doing last bit of grouting and noticed I must have scratched a tile under the floating vanity with a screw or something. Took two goes but worked perfectly thanks a lot.

    This. Is. Amazing! You're my hero! What about longevity? will normal wear or cleaning re-expose the scratches?

    u could also use muriatic acid. just be careful when applying it. but it really removes all superficial scratches in a flash. needless to say, wipe it off (avoid getting your skin in contact)

    Robert, does this also work on stone tile? We are using black stone tile and the motor scratches the stone while being wiped off.

    Yes I did what you instructed. I have a porcelain tile, yeah! it removes the scratches but it leaves a rainbow colors on the area of scratch. How can I fix this rainbow color effect after I rubbed the tile grout on the surface of scratch

    When you scratch the surface of a glazed ceramic tile (a light scratch, not a deep gouge), you're scratching the glass-like glaze. Here, the grout acts as an abrasive, like a fine sandpaper, to sand down the scratch, making it less visible. It's not magic, and if you look closely the scratch is still there.

      This puzzles me.. the grout is what caused the scratch to begin with..

    how did the scratch go away? whats the logic. the grout was not white

    • @brianmi40
      @brianmi40 6 років тому +5

      It's an abrasive. Clearly wasn't a scratch per se, but some residue on the tile.

      TRY AUTO LENSE SCRATCH REMOVER/POLISH: I scratched a white bathroom mosaic tile floor by using a wire brush to try and clean grout. That was a big oops! But after watching this video and reading other posts, the common denominator seemed to be that a light abrasive/polisher would work best. So I got some auto lens scratch remover/polish and tried that with a light teri cloth and it worked!! First I used the scratch remover and the polisher. You can get a kit for your auto from the parts store or Target etc for about 14.99

    All you're doing is wet sanding it folks. Get some buffer compound from auto parts store and it does the same thing
