@@casey1140able So... you're telling me that wearing glasses makes you a nerd, and wearing a helmet and goggles everywhere you go does NOT make you a nerd? Oh, buddy...
Sasha is who Raz wants to be. But Oleander is who he IS. Oleander is his dark mirror, who he could have become if he made a few wrong choices. Raz has spent his whole life being the underdog, the nerd, the outcast, and he sees his salvation in the psychonauts.
Appropiately, Sasha sees Raz as he was when he was his age. He was even anticipating Raz to actually overload the Censor valve in his shooting gallery, as he would have done the same in his age. When using Clairvoyance, he sees Raz as a minature version of himself.
Notably, if you look at the other Interns and Lili by the end of Psychonauts 2, and what their talents and leanings are as psychics, Raz is their Oleander. Raz isn't spectacularly adept at any of the other more flashy or complex powers (minus his Aquato blood, anyway)--but his physical fitness and ability to deal with hostile mental constructs rivals or even surpasses a lot of adult Psychonauts. So...he's Coach Oleander: a psychic soldier. You know, except with a lot more empathy and a working set of social mores.
@LashknifeTalon what's more is that, with his ability to learn novel techniques very quickly, combined with how he brought the other six interns to work together in the final battle, that he could also be their Ford. Their Vision. A fresh set of eyes to breathe new life into the Psychonauts and bring about a new wave of innovation.
Over 20 years and I STILL find new things I didn't find in Psychonauts. So many small details. No other PS2 platformer was like this game. It really is a linear platformer that deserves it with how much they packed in. Other games didn't have this much stuff packed into everything or often as creative.
I mean, the eidetic memory, general obliviousness, imitating people, echolia, and the fact that the main reason he’s there is because he was obsessed with a comic book speaks volumes
I like how he starts as he's kind if mocking it a little but then gets very involved and says the rest of it with sincerity
I love Raz hes such a little nerd
He dosent wear glasses he has a helmet and goggles
@@casey1140able A pair of glasses Does not a nerd make
That's passion for ya.

I'm not surprised he memorized Oleander's speech.

They dont make games like Psychonaut anymore, so much love and details put into it
You can also interact with the tree stump in Psychonauts 2
The pamphlet that Raz memorized.
and people tell me he isnt autistic
He fr is
The eidetic memory sells it to me!
Yeesh.
bruh, everyone from the Mother Lobe to the Green Needle Gultch is 100% somewhere on the spectrum of autism.

I just love how he says undulations 😂
I was just waiting for him to say somthing more ominous. Like "Doom" "Lies" or even "I AM ZIIIIIIIMMMMMM!!!!!!!!"
But my Mom said this was a summer camp!
I can't help but see Zim whenever Raz speaks. 😂🤣😅
They do share the same VA, after all.
He was my profile picture once!
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 im on the floor 🤣🤣🤣🤣 hahahaha in all my years whyyyyyy has no one brought this up 🤣😂😂😂😂❤
I love him, I would do the same thing with speeches from movies I like as a kid. Still do sometimes tbh
Pure perfection
I love how this game still has some things I never knew were in it! This is definitely one of them!
Raz being cute is underated 😢
You even get an achievement for doing this
Fun Fact: Rasputin Aquato is voiced by the same guy who voiced Chaos from Skylanders, and who voices Moxxie from Helluva Boss.
Who is also Zim from Invader Zim. And fun fact, the mental projection he creates in Psychonauts 2 is voiced by Gir's voice actor.
@@KaizenNekoI love that lol! So perfect
Raz is one of the best game protagonists ever.
he’s just like me fr
