A Zippo Lighter Moment When Nature Wins

First episode in a series of videos looking back over the years to what I've labeled 'Zippo Lighter Moments'. A Zippo Lighter Moment refers to my old friend Ralph who used an old Zippo Lighter to light his world famous pipe tobacco. The clink...zip of that old lighter served to provide an audible anchor to many outdoor adventures and this series will explore and relive some of the more memorable ones...

Thanks for sharing, Keith. One of the most iconic sounds of my life is the sound of that lighter. I directed a play a few years ago which required the use of a Zippo lighter, and especially the first time we used the prop, it awakened such a strong essence of Daddy, I had to take a moment to move past it. He would love that you are documenting these moments, although he was too humble to understand how he figures into the title. Thanks, again!

Nice video Keith,
I can relate to your video because I used to smoke a pipe, my wife loved the smell. I still have my Zippo's. One is plain, the other was my uncle Rene's (my mother's brother), it has a picture of the U.S.S. Redwing - MSC200 on the front of the lighter, that's the minesweeper ship he served on when he was in the Navy.

Thanx JT...I've been known to puff on a cigar or two from time to time, but have not graduated to smoking a pipe...I just might have to give it a try...:)
