- Let me introduce you an awesome MOLLE Seat Cover by 5.11 Tactical : The VEHICLE READY HEXGRID Seat platform (and also the HEXGRID Headreast Panel which share the same design)
In this video I'm gonna show you HOW TO INSTALL the HEXGRID MOLLE Seat Cover and Headrest Panel and also test and review it, install a few MOLLE Pouches, show you how it works and explain why it's so awesome!
But what's the VEHICLE READY HEXGRID Seat by 5.11 Tactical ?
The HEXGRID Seat is a vehicle ready seat panel multi-angle load bearing platform for accessory arrangement and modular pouch management. The panel features a full loop face and provides placement for an assortment of hook and loop and Gear Set attachments.
The Platform features an adjustable headrest strap and removable side seat straps. There is a quick release padded seat wedge for secure attachment to either the front or rear of the driver or passenger seat. A zippered mesh pouch is included to store accessories or to pack it all up so you can have your setup ready to go wherever you go.

I think while the new one is certainly more slim, I prefer the old previous one overall. Both look awesome though.
Molle seat covers are great. I've got a smaller version and love it.
Nice detailed review. Looks like a useful item and the price seems fair. I like the looks of it better than your previous molle seat cover. I would probably pass on the headrest version...seems like a lot of trouble for very little mounting surface. Still, nice to see innovative thinking. Organized storage is so crucial for overlanding, especially in small cars like ours.
I can't agree more with you! The 2 straps of the headrest are massive and don't really look good 🤔
The new seat cover is interesting, but I like the old seat covers. They seem to be more practical and reliable 😉

@@ALNSMOVERLAND Mrs. Small ADV always says the same thing 🤔🤣 Personally I like the way the older ones that you already have mount better (and they're a proven MOLLE design that's been time tested all over the world), but I like the looks of and hope the new ones work out...so if it were my money, as cool as the new ones look, I would play it safe and stick with the originals (see, I don't like to answer like that because if you liked the new ones better I'd risk sounding like an a-hole...all that matters is which YOU like and makes you happy, my friend 😊) Howzzat? 😋👍

I'm a solo truck driver. There are old school organizers, but I like pouches I can multi purpose. 2 questions. Can this mount on the front and still be tight? Do they have different sizes? Looks universal. Which is good.
They are universal yes! And you shouldn't have any problems to get them tight on the front of the seat. Especially large truck seats 👊
@@ALNSMOVERLAND Thanks for the feedback. Right now I'm using an LC2 ruck on a PVC frame to keep it upright. One of these looks a lot better for my purpose.
