Breaking the crafting table forces it to respawn where Steve is, and each crafting table that gets spawned costs Steve a certain amount of material. Since Steve is mining offstage, each crafting table that gets spawned will immediately fall into the blastzone, wasting Steve's resources and forcing another one to spawn in the same position shortly after. In the long run, this uses up materials faster than Steve is able to mine them, forcing him to go back on stage if he doesn't want the crafting tables to waste all his materials

They actively went out of their way to hide (or deny) everything they found in regards to tech or exploitable bugs & didn't openly talk about it until after sora released just to have an advantage And now we've gotta deal w the repercussions of having the best character in the game be the biggest camper in smash history

Nintendo has always been resistant or outright adversarial with competitive smash players and it shows with how they handle situations post game. If they know this was an issue with last game why don’t leave their developers on call in some limited form in case something game breaking happens? It helps with longevity and legacy of the game… but they just don’t care about competitors that much.
Sakurai’s just a huge liar, he said gliding would never return because of metaknight, which is bashis up-b. Then they said they’re done with op dlc like bayonetta.

So when doing the side b you press 4 buttons for 4 attacks and changing the stick changes the moves right? So by pressing side b in this sequence: side, side, up, side, it's the same strat as what zain is doing but the 3rd hit allows for the 4th hit to hit the sweet spot more consistently allowing for more damage and kills.

I love watching good players learn a new character or game, as there's something satisfying about watching someone have an epiphany. Then you get to watch them go ham with the newfound knowledge and come up with the most unique shit.

This is awesome!! Let’s go Zain! You’re so good already though. I can see that you can push hard and that’s clearly from Melee’s style of gameplay. Ultimate requires you to predict your opponent as much as you can before they input their next move. Also watching the timer periodically is also super helpful and important.
This has to be hard being a top Melee player forever changing games. Not only is the tech and movement different but you need to account for heavy buffering where as Melee every input produces an action almost instantly.

Fox trotting is almost like dash dancing and the safer aerial puts emphasis on spacing stuff on shield and being fast and offensive. As someone who mains mythra, I love her movement and combos. But it definitely wouldn't be what I would call a successor to melee

A couple of tips: side special is one of the worst on shield moves in the game. In this game mixing up movement is just as important as optimal movement, if you always approach the same you will get punished. If you're not sure if you can get an out of shield punish just role. Neutral air dodges are one of the best tools in this game.
Ignoring the minor masochism, your reaction to fighting steve definitely mirrors that of everyone else that's played against a steve. It's amazing they let him release like this.

In this series Game 1 will be in Melee, Game 2 be in Ultimate... so like you your team gets a home field advantage. What do you think Zain? (a game 7 be a team match format but the rounds will determine which game the match is played in first by a coin toss and then by whoever wins)
