A Palestine State should be recognised because there are 2 million people living in an area that is not Israel and it’s also not any of the neighbouring countries. These people have a right to exist and to belong - and they clearly aren’t recognised as people in Israel.
To say that ‘The moral issue’ is that the October 7th attack will be rewarded if Palestine is internationally recognised as a state is dumbfounding. The ‘moral issue’ listening to you here is that you can’t acknowledge that the October 7 attack was born out of an extremism that only occurs within the context of extreme conditions such that Israel and the IOF have forced Palestinians into since 1948. You could just as easily say that ‘The moral issue’ is that if Israel gets complete and legitimate occupation over Gaza, east Jerusalem and the West Bank then genocide is being rewarded.
I’m not even pro-Palestine and this is a tough listen so far.

Addition: a bigger moral issue than any of the above is that there’s a genocide occurring right now. It was occurring prior to October 7 through sporadic IOF backed incremental land and property grabs, but since October 7 the genocide is occurring rapidly and been given the worlds’ attention.
