Calvin Wong they wouldn't support them if it wasn't for the oil in Saudi Arabia
Mr muscle Bleach noooo way, and I always thought the US only supported Saudi Arabia because they share the common high morale ground by exploiting the weak, commiting war crimes and stealing resources for economic and capital gain. We also share common ground by indulging in prostitutes otherwise known as wives in Saudi Arabia.

Calvin Wong
communism is dangerous to business. Saudi Arabia is very good business.
In the 70s, American construction companies, engineering firms, oil companies, power companies, telecommunication companies, etc, made BILLIONS of dollars by being contracted by the Saudis. Saudi Arabia, a desert sandpit, had modernised cities being build in days with state of the art technologies built by the biggest American corporations in exchange for selling oil to the USA cheaply.
so Saudi Arabia was amazing for elites who became even more richer.
communism was very dangerous to these rich ceos and executives.
US supports monarchies if they support their system of capitalism. They overthrew the Democracy in iran in 1953 and replaced it with a Monarchy that failed, ultimately resulting in an Islamic Republic.

Technical detail - KC-135s definitely do not take off from Carriers.
sparkss4 it was an example for tanker planes
sparkss4 glad I'm not the only one to notice this. I'd like to see that video
The only carrier based aircraft that are capable of performing aerial refuelling are Super Hornets with buddy tanks. But those are really only for helping extend other aircraft enough to land back on the ship. I doubt they would be actively refuelling Tornado, or Typhoon jets with their probe and drogue systems.
I think they just read a quick brief point somewhere about carriers-saudi-refueling and threw it in. Be careful what you believe.
sparkss4 but the KC 135s may be coming from Diego Garcia. In any case, carriers have their own in flight refueling aircraft...just not, as you say, KC 135....

During the funeral bombing, more than 500 people were present. That the funeral was held in the biggeest ballroom in sanaa. One of the casualties was my brother's childhood friend, his best friend. The friend attended the funeral with his father and his youngest brother which was 9-10 years old. My brother was on the phone with him right before the funeral was bombed. Hours later, he receives the news of the bombing and was told that his closest friend, his brother, was nowhere to be found in the wreckage. Family members and friends searched for him in every hospital in the capital city. Almost 7 hours later they found what was barely knowledgeable as his remains. His unified body no longer existed and some of his body parts were never found. His body was blown out by the bombing. His body exploded; furthermore, it also caught on fire. He was only around 19 or 20 and he died in a despicably inhumane way. Now if something like this ever in the US I assure you the news would've caught on fire for coverage and organizations would've done much about it. This is just the story of the death of one out of the hundreds of thousands of humans who have been killed in Yemen. Those who were simply labeled as "war casualties".
Is there something we can do about this
And those 40 kids that were bombed few days ago..
Well theres nothing the west can do. Fundamentally this is a religious war. If they don't sell arms to the Saudis then they will buy from Russia or China who make bombs just as well. The faster the world gets of oil the less buying power the middle east will have for these pointless wars. This is the reality sadly. Don't expect the US to do a single thing. It would be political suicide to end arms production domestically.
Honestly mate, the majority of the World sees where the problem is. We know it is America, Britain and Saudi Arabia who are the problem.
My heart goes out to you, as does many peoples hearts.

Stephen Renzi it's not true.. I am from Yemen and I can tell you.. this video is so biased
+MAS Dr would you mind giving me more information on the matter?
well, it's actually complicated .. let's see, It's all started with our former president, in the 1990s he created these so called houthis rebels to blackmail Sudia Arabia for money. so he would get military aid from sudia Arabia to fight these rebels. in 2011 during the arab spring we overthrow our president, and elected a new one.. but Sudia arebia supported that former president and indirectly used these rebels to overthrow our elected legitimate government due to many political issue.. surprisingly to sudia Arabia those Huthie rebels turned against them and attacked Sudia borders.. So sudia now backed that elected government which they helped overthrow and attacked on the rebels who are supported by former president
+MAS Dr why is the government of yemen accepting Saudi Arabia conducting air strikes in which civilians are being killed?
Because without Saudi Arabia's help all the political leaders are dead.

Well its a vox video
Even if we all know it's true, journalists can't affirm these things unless they have concrete proof or they could get sued. that's why they always say "possibly" or "allegedly"
the whole idea of a war crime is silly since crimes are just rules defined by whatever group holds authority. So since during war there is no dominate authority there can never be such a thing as a war crime.
The more I learn about US international policy, the harder it is for me the view the States as the good guys.
The harder it is for me to realize what good guys mean
Ethan Rummel this is real world not hollywood propaganda machine.
US, Russia and China all of them use smaller nations a their pawns in their games. There are no good guys here. I just wished more would realize.
there's not necessarily any good power but America is definitely better than the other two. America tends support democracies, the exception being the Saudis because of their deep ties. The rest of their alliances are European democracies, Iraq and Afghanistan (now democracies), Israel, and many more democracies around the world. Russia's only democratic ally is Iran and their democratic claim is a controversial one, like Russia themselves. Then they prop up dictators like Assad while invading and annexing in countries such as Georgia and Ukraine. China I would say have the best foreign policy but they are by no means good, just smart. They assert their dominance through other means than proxy wars, such as the building of islands in the South China Sea and negotiations. The issue with China is that they are a one party state that oppress people in Tibet, Hong Kong, Macau and other regions to keep their power, they control their people through state propaganda and the great Chinese firewall. Similar to this last point you have countries like North Korea, whom China ally with for now.
None are the good guys but objectively you should understand it as Russia are the biggest shitcunts, China are shitcunts to their people and America try to do good but are still shitcunts none the less because they like bombing.

What
my brother it is a free professionally made documentary I don't think a single word in the title is an issue
The should make
“USA aiding the war in Palestine giving Israel money every year”
Is it wrong to give israel a power?.
something anonymous you device have typing problems fix it before you give reply
Kamu XOR why are you always in these Middle East videos this defending Israel? I remember earlier today I was talking about how the only reason is real is powerful is because their allies are powerful it’s not them themselves, and you can’t just take out is real without having to deal with their allies, Especially since they get funding every year

I wish you would make an updated piece about this. Too many people don't understand what's going on over there. We aren't the saints just innocently patrolling the Persian Gulf, as depicted in media currently.
"The US might be aiding war crimes in Yemen"
I think I just discovered water is wet
I'm glad Vox took the time to increase awareness of this situation. The devastation caused by this conflict is heartbreaking. I hope they continue to make videos on the subject.
1 word: Clinton
FreeShit stale b8 shiggy
FreeShit why not Trump?
FreeShit actually no republicans do must of this.
Republicans support all the spending on this bullshit because it directly makes them rich. Clinton is a liberal globalist liar who supported all of this because her donors want open borders low wages and no jobs and were also making money like Republicans. Lockheed Martin was all in clintons camp because war and money. In fact, we have not had a President of Peace in my lifetime. Bernie Sanders could have been the frist but look what the crooks and lairs did to rob the election and change votes!
And Trump won't do anything about Saudi, because he's got business ties there too. Just sayin'.
and now Yemen is blocking the world after being bullied and being blocked by the world for 8 years, that's what happens when you push someone to his limits to the point where he got nothing to loose, Yemenis desarve so much better.
This is what we call the “land of the free”
It’s called land of the free because all the freedom is stolen from others countries.
Beyond Redemption correct.
It’s not citizens fault. It’s the governments
Difference between the governments will and the civilians will, in this case is just happens to be the governments will, unless the United States is directed attacked by a foreign nation, probably the whole US civilian population will be pro war, similar to Lusitania, Zimmerman telegram or even Pearl Harbor, if events like these occur, the US will be pro war. the citizens shouldn’t be blamed by what the government is doing.

Actually that was the problem everyone at first was blaming the them but now they've started blaming us

Vox, I can't thank you enough fir shedding light on the suffering of Yemen people. international community doesn't really care much as the crimes are committed by an oil state; KSA against poor nation doomed by international political games between the west and Iran. cheers.
Iran only wants the best for Yemen. You'll laugh, but this is true.

explain how.
Ali Adam I'm from Yemen
Sepehr Voshmgir I'm laughing (as an Iranian) but I know that it's only partially true.
Iran is mainly doing this because of Influence over the middle east.
It's the same reason we support Bashar Al-Assad in the Syrian civil war.
And the same reason we support Lebanese Hezbollah.
It's all to secure our grip over the middle east.
(even though we are technically giving rights to Shia Muslims around the world but that's not the point)

It was the legitimate Yemeni government that asked Saudi Arabia to intervene and defend Yemen from Iranian aggression

Please talk to me about how modern Russia is the aggressor. US likes to points fingers elsewhere to draw the attention from themselves.
True.
Normal because Russia is strong and not a puppet for America and the Zionists . Every time Putin and Russia hold lies
Russia has sold weapons to the third world for decades.
The war between Russia and America is very confusing.
@@fraudulentfem7322 so has america you dip
the title of the video is too obvious and its not "may"
Put "is" instead of "may be", and add Syria, Iraq, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Palestine next to Yemen
Don't forget Lybia, Jordan, South Sudan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine, Venezuela, Guatemala and others that I also can't remember rn.
When you realize there will never be peace in the middle east
CaesarSchmesar US is just acting like a business entity. they're gaining money from selling weapons, forging strong market base and keeping their competitor (Iran) in check.
If you take US out of the picture, someone else (Russia, China, etc) will fill the void.
Not when they're the worlds 3 global superpowers. Good luck trying to block them from making money, especially when arms is one of the biggest exports from those countries.
That's because the world powers and their military industrial complexes don't want peace.
t.c.a.w Exposed Not when people keep condemning Israel for no reason. Israel can HELP. When will people understand this?
The biggest reason is actually religion. The two types of Muslims slaughter each other and always try to take control. Christians are also killed, which is why dictators are often preferred - because they keep everyone in check, including extreme factions. Religion is also the driving force behind the Israel/Palestine conflict.
This is the kind of content we want Vox. Not an extreme bias. Thank you for this. More stuff like this, please.
THE SADDEST THING THAT WE ARAB USED TO CALL IT "THE HAPPY YEMEN" IN THE PAST , because of how safe it was ..... and look at it now!

whos here in 2024?
a KC-135 takes off from a carrier... What????
Haha
ZuluFoxtrot1 ... your not seen how they been landing GlobeMasters on carriers? 😂🤣
Had to go back and listen to that again. Was like excuse me?
thought the same XD
I was wondering if maybe you should use neutral colours (colours without subliminal meaning) to mark the different factions. Then I noticed that in the photographs used the Houthis are wielding weapons while the gov't loyalists are shown unarmed and demonstrating peacefully (0:50). If this isn't intentional it's at least ignorant.
MrDanielZie well they're shown as rebels, while the govt. no matter how violent, are still in charge, so they need to be shown as civil men.
But I agree, they're taking sides.
Can't help it though, it's still a US based channel with majority of the subscribers in US!
I actually thought that the voice over was quite critical of the US, only the details bugged me... which makes it even more confusing.
And as a German I could easily come up with examples of "rebels" that would be portrayed in a completely different way and not as violent troublemakers ;)
I highly doubt that vox cherry picked pictures to fit their argument. Maybe the pictures used here are in fact a true depiction of what's really happening, maybe there is no gun toting loyalist to take a photo of. It's hard to take a picture of something that hasn't happened yet, you know.
AYANDA VILAKAZI As I said, if it's not done deliberately, it's ignorant and unprofessional. The outcome is the same, it manipulates people's opinions, for which you are the best example.
Wouldn't a civil war be over quite quickly if one side had weapons and the other hadn't?
AYANDA VILAKAZI A picture can never be a true depiction of reality ("what's really happening") as it at most shows a tiny fraction of it.
The answer is simply just yes. And sadly over these years, the situation has only gotten much, much worse.

Because it hurts their pro-western narrative. In fact, the only reason they addressed it at all probably had to do with the fact that it gave them a chance to take a punch at Trump, even though 3 US presidents in total have supported this.

Still amazing how silent they are on this... because at this point, 8 million Yemeni people are about to be totally cut off from all food aid in the coming weeks, which will simply result in a deadly genocide of millions.
