- There's always plenty of fun action in the water at El Porto on a holiday, and Thanksgiving didn't let me down. Surfers paddled out pre-Thanksgiving dinner to hopefully work off some of the food they'd stuff down later in the day.
Thanks for watching. I'm Brad Jacobson and I'll sea ya on the sand. - Спорт
I can't believe I watched the whooooole thing ;-)
I saw you with your camera so I walked down to 34th street.
I like your commentary! It just makes the whole video. Thanks.
nothing but accidents pray for safety. brad let the public know about SAFETY. THANK YOU.
Hope you enjoyed your holiday! Here for the broken board and kooks like me. Stayed for the small waves. Still crazy but looks fun.🌊
sup and body boarder colliding is so funny..... and the barrel doge at 3:43 is amazing!
Kooks and closeouts, it's my worst nightmare
I thought my local spot was bad, your's is crazy 🤣
I am thankful to have access to fun waves with a sand bottom, after watching ferocious giant waves on UA-cam where if you dared to screw around, you would be cryin'.
I realize things would be completely different if I grew up with more big waves, but I think the spiritual aspects of interfacing with the ocean are constant, so we all learn the same lessons, if you ever want to get wise to yourself.
Redondo had the biggest waves before they built the harbor. I remember one storm that tore down the back of a big oceanside apartment house, so you could see in all the rooms, just like a doll house.
But my best childhood wave memory was in the winter, when big seals would come off the top of the crashing winter waves as I watched from inside the old library , even though I was supposed to be in the kiddie section. they didn't ride like a dolphin, they came off the top , and then layed into a free fall dive, landing forward of the impact zone. It was only ever big seals, there was a lot of power out there, even a kid could see that.
Of course, that was also before the bay got fished out, the Redondo pier even had a small winch on a wooden davit in case somebody hooked a big halibut, you could bring them up.
I’m glad I grew up with amazing waves like Bruce’s and hullets which are long rights with sand and reef and seals point aswell as world class point breaks and jbay being 20 mins away, that never are crowded unless holidays, count blessings
Had one of best sessions of my life Thanksgiving 1999. Porto can go epic in size shape condition.. 1st yr I bbq'd turkey also. Beem grilling turkeys ever since..
Ventura harbor was insane Sunday
Hope you had a Happy Thanksgiving! Maybe Santa will bring that lady a new board. Hope so!
hey i love your videos man keep it up
Looks like nothing has changed at El Porto since the 60's!🤣
Par for the course to have Hunter out there making it look way too easy.
Was this a surf contest for Turkeys?
Recently picked up a Pyzel Gremlin - the board is a hoot for these conditions. Anyone else see the latest videos from Waimea Bay? Thanks for the work,Brad.
