I’ve been collecting milk glass for the past 5 or 6 years. I collect mostly hobnail, but you just taught me the names of the two kinds. I never knew that! Thanks.
Nice collection... it tells the story of one's life...the collection which you do throughout your life and from different places...and you have memories attached to it....these are your assets and these are exceptionally beautiful ❤
I have always loved milk glass and have a few pieces. The red glass is gorgeous. I love the decanter. We have all bit the bullet and paid more for something than we want to at one time or another. Loved seeing this Jeff❤️❤️❤️
Thanks so much! Yes many of these pieces Jeff's mother passed down to us and are rare. We are fortunate to have thanks so much makes us happy that you liked it and to share!
HI THERE MY TAKE ON HOME&GARDEN LOVE YOUR COLLECTIONS.I LOVE ANTIQUES MYSELF THERE IS NOTHING LIKE THEM. THANKS FOR SHARING GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR WIFE STAY SAFE.
Thankyou MsLaDonna for watching and so glad you love antiques like we do. Our larger family doesnt collect so it is fun to connect with other people that like what we like!❤
Watching this one two years later, catching some on the suggested yt. The pattern is diamond that you said you didn’t. Know here and the bowls trimmed with clear are called “Spanish lace” or “#liver crest”. I love it all. Vintage glass is my thing.
Your collection is amazing! I just started but I did see so many pieces that I remembered from my childhood at my great grandparents house. I wonder what happened to those beautiful pieces? Great video guys. Thank you!
Didn't realize there was such a thing as English hobnail, we have seen that in the past but didn't realize what it is, it's very nice. My gosh you've got some stuff!
I just started collecting milk glass vases. Now I want more. I bought 5 dinner plates and 4 saucers last weekend. I think I’m hooked. I’m not for sure but in another persons video they called the jagged edge pieces saw tooth. Let me know if you think that is correct. I’m loving learning all about milk glass. I know next time I go looking I want a salt and pepper set.
Sawtooth is just a slang description ...ill use it on eapg glass if it looks like a saw blade ! ......it is very fun and as younger people don't care about things to collect from MCM and vintage era ...the prices stay reasonable ! .......that was our early video on milk glass there are two more much bigger ....hope you get to see them ! Happy collecting ! 🌞🌴
@@MyTakeOnHomeGarden ok thanks. That makes sense. I just woke up and I can tell you that I have been dreaming of milk glass all night! I enjoyed learning from your video and will be looking at your others. I’m in my early fifties and just now appreciating the beauty of the pieces. When my grandma passed in 2015 I remembered being offered her collection. I don’t know how much was there but at least a whole 8 piece dining set. I declined and instead I took 2 cups a cream and sugar and 2 candy dishes with the lids. I’ve always loved these pieces. I wish I had wanted the whole set. I’d insert a picture of my pieces but I don’t see how to send a picture on here. Your video is what I was watching right before bed. I guess it stayed on my mind, lol. I can’t wait till I go back shopping and start collecting different patterns. Last Friday I bought 8 vases from a man on Facebook for 1 dollar each. There were duplicates in the box but I just display some in the kitchen and then in my china cabinet and then on the dining table as a centerpiece. I just spread them around. I think I had at least 4 different patterns.
That s funny! I guess we all learn an appreciation for art with knowledge and time ! . also you can send a pic thru our gmail ..it is available in the description box .. Scroll down under any video ...on your phone ...laptop...or tablet
Thank you friend ! We are so glad your here with us 🌷🌷🌷my mother loved milk glass and started us on it....I think it's more beautiful than people give it ! 😎📷🐦💙
Thankyou! It is a Dunken Phyfe cabinet my husband found at a house he was renovating that they left there. It still needs a bit of work maybe in a future video!😊👍
Listening to am radio , coast to coast out of Ohio. There was a add representing a nursery selling every flower and trees. The man who owned the nursery sounded like you? Is it? I know you do antique channels but is this where you get your flower arrangements???
Love hearing and learning about these many things. It’s cool as it’s different between the hobnail English and American. Is there anyway to those names written down and learn about the different milk glass names, please
I'm curious if you use any of your beautiful pieces. I have some beautiful things that were my husband's grandmother's. She was married in 1912 so many of them are at least that old. He doesn't want to use them in case they get broken.
Most collectables are just that....for a collection.....the only reason they still exist is because someone took care of them and loved them as part of their life to enjoy ! And then to pass on to the next generation.....some are carefully used with great joy ...and cleaned and stored with care ...if their to hard to replace .. We don't use them ..but you should look at them and enjoy the art and history in each piece 👍😎💙 thank you....
Just discovered your videos and I am enjoying seeing your wonderful varied collection. Just wondering who gets to do the dusting? Do you have a family to pass this on to? Do they love antiques as much as you do? All the best to you and yours from the UK

I believe the one is called star scalloped but I could be incorrect. My grandmother had one similar. Beautiful collection!
Thanks so much! It almost looks like a star of David but we just weren't sure. Thanks again for your input!😊
Love me some milk glass!!! Great collection.
Thanks so much friend really appreciate your support!😊👍❤
Didn't realize there was such a thing as English hobnail, we have seen that in the past but didn't realize what it is, it's very nice. My gosh you've got some stuff!

Great collections would definitely want to see the oriental ones too
Thanks so much that video is in the works!😉❤
The red basket is Indiana Glass "Canterbury Sunset" pattern. It was made in many different colors; there is even an amberina that is quite striking.
Thank you for your share !

Amazing collection! Your milk glass hutch looks so similar to my hutch!
Thankyou! It is a Dunken Phyfe cabinet my husband found at a house he was renovating that they left there. It still needs a bit of work maybe in a future video!😊👍
My Take On Home & Garden I’m not sure what my hutch is...🤔 But they do look similar.🤷🏻♀️ My parents gave me mine as a wedding gift.
