I couldn’t help but giggle when I noticed our host couldn’t hold back a smile when commenting on the Fujian navy making another mistake, with another brand new boat.
Someone I know whose there right now went by the boat this afternoon and told me it is definitely M/Y Loon's chase boat. I hope that eveyone makes a full recovery.
@wargor Probably will be a while while the gendarmes investigate then the insurance investigates etc. On saturday they moved loon from the main area of anchoring to a more remote spot nearby.
01:51 Lovely interesting painting on the wall behind you. Merry Christmas and Happy New 2025 to you, family and crew. The BTS effort you guys put into these videos is admirable. And yes; although unseen, the results are very much seen. Thankyou. 😇
I follow Motor Yacht Loon on UA-cam, and it's great content. This could change everything if this is them. That skiff does look like the model they use. 😞 Hopefully the lady injured recovers quickly, and fully. Happy Holidays everyone.
the motor yacht LOON channel always comes across as being so professional and polished nothing even vaguely bad even happens i wonder if this will even get mentioned
This accident was inevitable and everybody is very lucky that it wasn't way worse. Watching their videos it is obvious from the captain all the way down this crew is incompetent undisciplined and unprofessional. These are not serious sailors. These are a bunch of party animals that have forgotten that they have a responsibility to their licenses into the safety of everybody under their charge. It doesn't matter if it's a party vessel. The captain and his crew are not supposed to be the ones partying and they are lucky nobody is dead. This crew is a joke and it's amazing that the owners of the vessel allowed it to go on for so long.
As soon as you mentioned one passenger on Loom's tender was ejected I remember the rocks all around. OOF. Then the face. OOF. I hope she isn't too smashed up no one deserves to get wrecked on the Holidays. Especially since she was in someone else's hands so to speak.
I was under the impression that the purpose of that partying, carousing and debauchery on a super-yacht, was to get... "wrecked" You gotta, love those double... entendre's!
Don’t know if you’ve ever watched MY Loon’s channel or not but I thought Captain Paul ran a tighter ship than that. I guess if it was indeed T/T Loon on the rocks there will be some crew changes.
Amazed and Surprised that MY Nord actually went where she said! And then turned the AIS back on. Guess there are big changes going on in the world. As far as the yacht crashing into the cruise ship, I totally agree there had to be some sort of catastrophic equipment failure. Wondering about built-in reduncancy on many of those systems, about which I know next to nothing.
Alcohol and water don't mix so well obviously. I remember a British sailing vessel moored in Marmaris, Turkje while I was there. It burned taking two other boats moored alongside with it. It was later found the owner and only crew had a few too many and decided to put the frying pan on before falling asleep. It cost him his life and the loss of three boats.
On the Loon live stream last week it was mentioned that the crew christmas party was to be in St Barths so makes sense that this was the consequence of it
The fact that Loon did not reply speaks volumes. Have always thought too much emphasis on You Tube fame - would it be an issue and too comfortable when your ultimate responsibility is your pax.

Especially for the woman ejected and with facial injuries. We'll all await facts and not speculate. I have to think they will address this on their channel at some point. For now there are legal issues to consider and I expect the owner will have issued a reminder of Non Disclosure Agreements.
If it is the Loon tender, first and foremost our thoughts are for the crew and those injured, if its is not the Loons tender again our thoughts are for all those injured. No doubt the full story will unfold soon.
Thank You for the informative update. The yachties are busy making news. Someone better straighten out or Australia might stop giving away vessels. Have an Absolutely Awesome Christmas!
