Lovely layout and more importantly a shower and a toilet. I don't get how other van lifers depend solely on a gym, truck stop etc. What happens if you need to use the bathroom during the night? Kudos to you a very nice clean and organized build.
There's a reason far more men than women go the "use public bathrooms" route. When it's the middle of the night, they just go outside. That's a lot more difficult for women.
When I had my minivan I always had a bucket with a tight fitting lid, and a trash compactor bag with kitty litter inside for emergency use in the middle of the night (or in the middle of town).
Not really; straightening up and cleaning just makes some people feel good psychologically; doesn't have any connection to intelligence, in fact the opposite has been suggested in studies
I think it’s brilliant only thing I would do is install hidden cameras all around the van so I could monitor outside activity which you can’t see at the moment.
Love the fact that the van looks more like a construction van. That surely makes one feel a lot safer! This van is super comfortable and so organized! Love the kitchen, love the closets! Everything!
Yes. I remember the build from the previous owner who was a student in San Francisco. Quite amazing you had opportunity to purchase his home on wheels because he put so much detail into it already.
This design and layout is absolutely perfect for him! Genius idea to have the louvered window cover outside. It's built like a tank and should last forever. Great job!

Lol we have the same iron ladder to the bed! And we used to have a hanging rack for our clothes... but we had to make room for a crate for our pup 🐶 Good to see you enjoy your home so much! 😄
Love this entire van. I have thought of owning a motor home but have felt it would be a target for robbery. This looks so safe. Good luck on your new adventure. When you built or buy a new van, please let us know about it.
That is a sweet rig, I live in a 20ft container tiny home, which when loaded up weighs a ton, not practical for on the move living, this rig how ever is a gem, you can live pretty much anywhere very nice!
The original tour is how I found this channel, though I only saw it a few months ago. And now this pops up lol I can't wait to see the third owner do an updated tour in three more years! lol
Seen hundreds of layouts, but this is definitely at top 3. Greatest kitchen i have seen. One tip for the next kitchen though is that you could build something under the kitchen as drawer there you could put the stove and pans, but other then that. Excellent design.
One of the things I consistently think about is having as much DC power as possible throughout the house, for the sake of not losing power during conversion. But this is super clean!
I think Box Trucks are the best conversions. Besides the stealth, you also automatically get the height and width that is more than adequate. An electronic bed lift is usually a must have on my list, but with a bed over the cab in a box truck, it's not necessary. I would love to see a box truck conversion with a layout modeled after The Concrete Oasis.
But why don't you speak up about his tattoos? Why am I always the ONLY one to speak up about these things? I saw all those tattoos at the beginning of the video and it makes me not even want to watch the rest of it. And what's so infuriating is that nobody else here says anything. Are you all that used to tattoos these days that you don't even notice?? How sad is that??
This is an excellent idea. Saves money on the cost of rent. I'm guessing that your power inside is coming from solar, but the video didn't really show that. Very minimalist life, but comfortable. Small space would save time on cleaning as well.very nice.😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊.
I enjoyed this tour a lot. The thought of being in your own space, choosing where you want to go and who you want to be around is the best feeling in the world. You don't allow negativity to take space, in your mind. The size is amazing however, I would use the desk area for a proper staircase. Also, having a skylight, over the bed, would have been amazing because it felt claustrophobic. Lastly, the studio area could have been an added bonus living space for eating. Outside of that, this young man, has it made. I loved that his life included his dog.❤
I saw the original video 2 or 3 years ago. And here it is again, but with a different owner. Will we see it again for a third owner? It remains to be seen.
If you don't mind my asking, what's that air conditioner? I haven't yet found any which neither require water to be dumped nor require a vent to the exterior (or a spot to sit in the window). The mini-splits are the closest I've ever found, and they need to be attached to a piece on the outside. I would love to know of a type of a/c that just sits in the house, plugs in, and you don't need to worry about anything else!
Well I do have to put the exhaust out the back into the storage area but yes it doesn’t need to drained which is super nice. It’s by Dura Comfort. I don’t have the model number but when I pull it out I’ll check it and let you know
Very cool van. I wouldn't like only having one window and would probably install one over the kitchen counter. You could have a door on the outside that lifts up like the other window. Other than that I loved it. So creative!
Love this! Especially the bathroom. Old hippie but I don’t understand about the composting toilet. Where do you get rid of the compost? Thanks, friend!!
That A/C sounds interesting. I just looked it up. It's a Dura and it does indeed have no condensation port on it. It is only rated for 150 - 300 Sq ft but for the 125 sq ft here it really seems like the perfect solution. It's really cheap, too. I wonder how it works.
I suppose "one night stands" is about as much as you would be willing to commit to, in relationships, considering it's a custom space exclusive to all your needs without having to sacrifice or compromise your goals. PERFECT!
I'm asking as both the wife of a firefighter (ret.) and the Mom of one: the rig looks amazing and I love the secure locks on the outside all around, but what about a fire escape?
I'm own two businesses now and I really want to spend most of my time and energy building those at this point in my life. This rig deserves to be passed down to the next amazing person for their adventures.
Was just thinking about there being a heavy rain storm and you're trying to sleep being so close to the roof, ear plugs I guess? Also I would prefer an escape hatch or just a 2nd exit.
@@JacobClass Cool, i've though about going full mobile but one base that I would want is some type of garage/storage unit for repairs and upgrades etc.The extra storage would be a major plus. You keep your winter gear there during the warm months and vise versa is just one example.
Sweet stealth build! But, time to make it a home, my man. Put in a better fridge and get a 2 burner induction permanently installed! Also, NO SHOES ON THE BED!
I always wonder if they are stealth, don't people still hear when they are watching a movie or listening to music and don't they smell the food when they are cooking?
If this man stands on his truck to perform will people see that it is his private home? Then everyone will know ? This home is fabulous and nice and clean …I love that . Also the security of the door etc…. Is great He must be saving some good money to. How does his girlfriends feel about him in a camper home? 👍👍☮️☮️
Jake is now selling his stealth van! Check it out here: www.rvtrader.com/listing/5034014624
Thank you so much team! It was a pleasure!
When someone buys it, please don't waste our time with a new video about it.
@@JacobClassWhat are you going to do next? Are you continuing on the road in a different vehicle, or settling downb someplace for a while?
@@norarivkis2513Gonna settle down in a place for a while. I own a couple of businesses so I want to focus on those for a good while
@@norarivkis2513Settling down someplace for a while to focus on by businesses. I’ll definitely get another van down the line though ❤️
I remember this van from the first owner ! This is one of my favorite stealth builds I’ve ever seen!
Lovely layout and more importantly a shower and a toilet. I don't get how other van lifers depend solely on a gym, truck stop etc. What happens if you need to use the bathroom during the night? Kudos to you a very nice clean and organized build.

@JacobClass You're most welcome.

When I had my minivan I always had a bucket with a tight fitting lid, and a trash compactor bag with kitty litter inside for emergency use in the middle of the night (or in the middle of town).
I can live without shower.. But I have to have a toilet
Organized home is an organized mind. Makes me feel good to see this level of cleanliness. Love it.
I actually do have some cameras but I forgot to mention them in the video lol
@JacobClass
Have you considered posting videos of your travels and music shows to monetize your UA-cam channel?
Yeah, outside camera feeding a big thin screen on the blank wall would be a huge one-way window to your surroundings.
You can see one of the camera's in the cab by the drivers side seat belt.
I can't imagine trying to relax and having every inch outside monitored. Hear someone walk by and have to check it out.
Love the fact that the van looks more like a construction van. That surely makes one feel a lot safer! This van is super comfortable and so organized! Love the kitchen, love the closets! Everything!
I love how his cute dog is always on his lap! So sweet!
She is such a sweetie! 🐶
With the back of the vehicle being used for music gigs, wonder how the dog manages with all that loud sound
The man is a cutie the dog is ok 😅
That dog is magnificent.
but it doesn't even bother you that he has all those tattoos?? Such a turnoff. And here I have ranted against tattoos for YEARS online.
Yes. I remember the build from the previous owner who was a student in San Francisco. Quite amazing you had opportunity to purchase his home on wheels because he put so much detail into it already.
Favorite van life truck !!! Loved the video with the previous owner and love this new one. I have a house but I want that later in life.
He's so sweet with his dog, Molly. Really well designed home. I'd be intimidated with driving the truck but otherwise wow! nice place.
I have a Molly too ❤
Yes ... way better than before with new couch layout now than before... absolutely stealthy!
Thank you! I really dig the minimal approach
This is one of the best builds out there. The layout is just genius.
I love that there’s comfortable seating in the back, often missing in some builds.
This design and layout is absolutely perfect for him! Genius idea to have the louvered window cover outside. It's built like a tank and should last forever. Great job!
As a DJ, and a person who loves van life and tiny homes, this is awesome!!!
This is just an amazing setup - it is perfect. And your dog is adorable!

I really love this!!! So nice!
I bet the rain on the roof above the bed sounds so relaxing!
Love this stealth rig! I agree, changing the desk layout helps open up the space. Love the lights too.
Thank you!
I love it. I wish that I could talk my husband into something like this. Is a serious NO for him.
It's not for everyone lol
@suzie why,
Love this entire van. I have thought of owning a motor home but have felt it would be a target for robbery. This looks so safe. Good luck on your new adventure. When you built or buy a new van, please let us know about it.
If I remember correctly, this was the previous owners home while he finished his degree. Good to see that it has carried on being useful to someone.
Cool i would change the toilet out for one that burns the waste, but a good setup.
Incinerator toilets seem cleaner & less of a hassle than composting toilets
Well done! Thank you all, this is a perfect rig for stealthy yet comfortable living, I love it!

He made so much reference to security that it made me nervous. I don't think he feels relaxed in this van. At least that's the vibe I got.
It is tough getting relaxed on camera for sure. Being camera shy I was pretty nervous
He looked pretty relaxed to me. Security is very important. Don't you have security where you live?
I didn't get that vibe at all. He was pointing out just how secure he feels in it. Looks to be enjoying life. Happy for him!
He lives in Oregon and there is a major cart theft/break-in issue in the Portland area due to homelessness and addiction.
This is perfect and so well thought out. My favorite episode of this show, bar none.
Aww thank you so much!

Smart, very thought through…smart 💥
Dude, the solar panel system on your roof and all the vents GIVES YOU AWAY, BIG TIME !
buys it for like 70k and now tries to sell it 2 years later for 113k? Man lost his mind. its a VECHICLE. shit gets worse with time

Very nice but I just wonder how you change the bed, I guess you have to kneel on it to do it. Wonder why you are selling up?
Stunningly awesome!
If it were me I'd leave a hi-viz vest and a metal clipboard on the passenger seat.😂🤣
Yeah it was either a clipboard or the hard hat lol
Yeah I thought too looks a little too tidy for a trady, add a water bottle too and maybe a worn looking lunch bag.🤷♀️

Omg you've had this for two years now? 😱🤯 Doesnt even feel that long when i saw i vid of the og owner. Nice setup
This is really nice. I like it! One question, on the secret window, it does not make sense to me that the locks are outside. Shouldn't they be inside?
This thing is awesome. Great setup.
Great video bro🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥✌️
I enjoyed this tour as well as the similar tour by the previous owner. But I do wonder what happened to the previous owner to make him sell the van.

Ok this is the build I must copy,is this a 17’ ex u haul? I’m really interested in the specs !
15’ box, not sure exactly which U-Haul size it mirrors tho
Very cool 🌞🇺🇸 ITB truck box bodies cant be beat ... they used to be made in my hometown...think they moved to Anaconda Mt. 😉
Oh no way! Thats pretty sick
Fantastically practical setup, cheers from Australia 🇦🇺
Amazing stealth home. It has everything you need. Nice. I wonder what the monthly gas expense is...
I'm asking as both the wife of a firefighter (ret.) and the Mom of one: the rig looks amazing and I love the secure locks on the outside all around, but what about a fire escape?
Yep private equity monopolies have made these necessary.
You’re telling me
I am shocked…I really love this set up
It's 2024. The word on "stealth" vans and box trucks is out. If you have solar panels visible like that, you're not fooling many.
