We’re fitting R290 Split Units, we don’t need F-Gas for it, we’ve got our Gas Safe LPG ACS. Fantastic units & we’ve tons of work. Thanks for sharing, some great Trade insight there for us Plumbers👍👍
Cheers Mike. Fascinating! I assume this can do cooling in the summer if you want it? Very impressed with your contractors, clearly a professional job. Interested to find out what your hot water solution is ?! I think in your last video I said we have a air heat -water pump solution with large radiators. After having it for a few years I am being a lot more analytical this year in its usage. Where we failed at in the early years was treating the system like a gas boiler. Now the system is running all the time and cycling even at night, and if my reading and calcs are correct, this will lead to a significant reduction in energy usage. (P.s. the house was built with heat pump in mind). The only issue I still have is that when you are heating hot water you are not heating the house. I think this will be less of an issue with cycling, since the pump can worry about the hot water at times it is not concerned with space heating. Anyway, top video Mike. Mark.
Considering A2A system for a property for professional couple out all day, and who work away frequently, where sporadic heating would suit better. What is the indoor noise like?
Very informative and entertaining as always Mike. I do declare you and Calum should get together and do a Monty Python pairity video it would be hilarious 😂 add a few pints into the mix to lube the artistic process as it where lol. And enjoy that new found warmth for less money with your new state of the art air to air system Sir.
How are you getting on now it’s getting colder? Are you using the “demand control” feature at all to limit the power consumption or just letting it do its own thing?
If that unit was installed level, your wall's off! Something does not look right. Might be just a strange angle it was filmed at, but it does look odd! 🤔
very nice installation, I have installed many heat pumps and there has been great development in heat pumps

Cheers Mark, going to try keeping on a constant temperature and see how the power usage works out!

Looks great Mike. Have you had any RFI issues with your station? Thanks for an informative video.
No RFI to report, perfect 👍

I’m just letting it get on with things. No issue with heat it works perfectly. 😊😀
Good Vid Mike , Whats the Saving with the Offset of the extra Pull on the Leccy?
Not sure yet, gas was costing around £6 a day in winter…. So far the heat pumps have averaged 10 kW per day!
Was trying to figure out what an "air to air heat pump" was. Watching this solved that, we call them split unit aircons here.
Great thing is they are both, aircon and heaters.
@@mike-M0MSN heating not an issue here in South Africa! - cooling for the win:) 73 de ZS2VR
So the insulation is water and UV resistant. What about RF??⚡️😂
No RFI, perfect 👍
Has this had any effect on your radio equipment Mike?
No effect was so ever, perfect 👍

that's simply a combination of camera angle and perspective on that particular shot
Never imagined ever seeing Mike in a T-Rex suit but here we are hahaha.
