Hi, Paola. Love your nails. I think solid gels are here to stay. I love how traveling nail stylists don't have to be concerned about the gel leaking. We know how messy it could be when the non-solid gel leaks.
I love the concept of these solid gels in makeup style palettes with 12 or 16 pans per palette, the way I've been seeing on Instagram and AliExpress lately. Great for hobbyist like me, who only do my own nails, to get a wide variety of colours without amassing a huge volume of product that we'll never be able to actually work through... More expensive per ml, but worth it imo - I've gone down that "buy a full size bottle of every colour" path before, for regular nail polish, and it's just not a good life decision 😅 I don't generally buy gel from random unknown brands though, so I'm hoping it becomes a big enough thing for bigger brands to launch their own versions.
I agree! I started buying gel bottles and I’m already out of room to store them and I’ll have a hard time ever getting through them all. If you want the makeup palette format check out model ones, they have a bunch of sets and colours
Nice to see quality brands making solid gel. I bought two from Aliexpress in 2020. I'd say a waste of my money. I'll have to check out the mithmillo brand. I like that there is a refill option.
Thank you for the comparison of these gels, there are so many out there now a days, I don’t think they will disappear any time soon, I like the ones I’ve tried so far, but they can’t compete with all of the subtle shades of potted and bottled soft gels, my opinion anyways 💗
I actually have a set of a different brand of about 30 colors. I love them. I dont think the colors are really limited because I have just about every color you could imagine
Hello, I really liked the video. Can you please explain how to remove the solid gel from the nails? I have no experience with gel polish but I assume that the regular nail polish remover is not going to do the job! 😅😅
Hi, is it possible to make designs with dotting tools or other tools to create marbel effect, swirls, polka dots, etc with pot gels as easily as liquid gels?
I think they’re here to stay, personally I love using them! I don’t like the limited color selections but surely it will grow over time. I have noticed though, there is a small learning curve with it for some people. For example, I was shocked a few weeks back hearing from another tech I watch on here that her friend absolutely hates it bcuz "it’s too thick and horrible for line work and fine details" bcuz I love it for line work and fine details! All I could think was that person just doesn’t know how to use it right.
I am so confused 🥺.. are the gel pots in your video all hard? I am buying the leaf gel pot with the bow.. are those not solid gel? Soft right? are the gel pots with the hearts on it solid?
So I like them but mud/cream gels are the future of gel polish. All the companies are upgrading to it, these are 1st generation so it will only get better!
I love solid gel. My favorite is Venalisa mudgel. They're here to stay😊
Have you tried their painting gels (self leveling formula)? How Venalisa compares to Japanese gel brands? 👀

That is a game changer indeed!

Lovely video as always, love your chain link ring on your right middle finger!

Yes! Mithmillo ones feel super elegant!

Thank you, I was hoping you would review these! So helpful ❤️
Thanks Paola, really interesting! The gels look great, I think I’d like to give them a go.
Out of this collection, the white, 2 pinks and red, are gorgeous!
hey paola i was thinking you should do a first impression video doing your nails with all new products!
Thank you for the suggestion!

They are soak off or I must use an eletric nail file?
Those look so good unfortunately they aren't available in my country yet (generally no solid cream gel) but hopefully soon

Ohhh! That will definitely be something to try, thanks for this video 🥰
May I ask where you got the cute little sponges from?
Sure. The brand is Mithmillo, and Zillabeau distributes them paolaponcenails.com/Zillabeau My affiliate code is PPN10

… or maybe the brand she bought? One of my nail friend said something similar 🤷🏻♀️
@@PaolaPonceNails That could very well be the case! 🧐
You say not to stir but I disagree . They have the thixotropic effect and they melt like butter when stirred . It’s part of why they are so great 😊
But then would they not spill?
Es Castellano x favor
